V-Core 4 300 - Do I need to work on my gantry more?
V-Core 4 300, using Beacon. I've got the range down to 0.199, and my last run for Beacon measure gantry twist showed 25.5, no compensation needed.
But, as of earlier this morning, I was still having issues with my squish being inconsistent. It will be fine at the front, then grinding into the print bed at the back. I am about to run another test after messing with it for some time today to see....
VC4 500 bed replaced -> mesh now ok?
Got my replacement bed today and ran a new mesh.
Range is 0.147, dipping slightly on the front right corner. I will try to raise that corner slightly. Is the rest fine so I can proceed?...
VC4 400mm Bed Mesh - Bowed Gantry?
Running my first bed mesh and I think this is within a reasonable range to continue but would love a sanity check and advice on if I have a bowed gantry and should attempt to straighten it or just continue on. Thanks!
[Vcore 4 500] Struggling with this one.
I have my bed as level as I feel I can achieve right now. I am seeing this odd dip on the left side and can't for the life of me adjust it out of the heatmap. Can anyone offer some advice on where I should start?
Solution:
That is so small it isn't worth chasing it. You will never see that little.
[v-core-4 400mm] Having trouble with fixing C corner. What is considered acceptable?
I am having trouble getting the C corner to be less than 0.1mm. Each time I try to adjust it (tapping from top), it either doesn't move, goes further up or D changes (despite it being locked in). It has made me ask, what range is acceptable?
[v-core-3.1 500mm] can't get it under .2mm range
Hi guys - I've been trying hard lately to get my bed mesh heightmap under .2mm range but I can't get passed .3mm range.
I can see a few issues:
* the bed is curved on the sides so I tried to attach/reattach the linear rail -> did absolutely nothing
* I can see kind of a wave pattern so I tried shifting the magnetic plate by 90 degres and interestingly enough I had pretty much the same result
* There is a drop on one corner but I don't know how to fix that...
Wave on vcore 4 500 mesh
I just finished my v-core build and was going through the commision part. My mesh seems to be a wave. Starting ok-ish it goes up, down and up again.
Adjusting the corners by loosening the quick-connectors and tightening them again does little to nothing regarding the big wave in the front. What could this be? Bed is the Milled cast tooling plate...
V-Core 4 500 Y axis wave
Anyone have any idea how to solve this? I don't see how this could be a gantry twist issue and after a trip to the hardware store for a torque driver I re-installed the y axis linear rails to spec with no improvement. This is prior to installing the bed heater and magnet.
Solution:
confirmed with another straight edge, this appears to be a bed issue
Beacon scan exposed waves in sheet/plate
So, this V-Core 3.1 300 started life as a standard V-Core 3 that was assembled by a guy who corners.
I've taken it apart, rebuilt it, got some good use, then decided to go with Toolhead 1.0 and beacon.
The printer has some resquaring needs, as it got jostled around as it got moved to its new printing area, but what I'm asking about are these ripples. They run along in bands from x=0 to x=300, in sequence along Y, with a strong dip near front. Any idea of what could have caused it? Each ripple by itself looks like +/- 0.02mm with a total bed deviation of .17mm, so not enough to be a problem...
Solution:
If anyone stumbles on this: Consider this a lesson in buying cheap sheets of Amazon. Ripples went away after swapping the plate out, and this issue was never exposed until Beacon and being able to casually run a 25x25 grid :p
V-Core 3.1 500 Extreme Cornering in Bed Mesh
Greetings all, hope you're having a nice day.
I have been following the helpful video which covers tapping points A and B to higher or lower points C and D but the results barely change from mesh to mesh. Sometimes it gets worse. I appreciate the advice, thank you kindly.

Z-Tilt makes it worse
I've loosened and tightened both gantry and y rails over and over re-tightened them in various orders. I can't get the bow out.
Secondly because the Ztilt measures in the center in the back and the sides on the front, i can never get a flat bed mesh as the Z-tilt always skews the bed.
Any ideas? I am stumped. Honestly i have the same issue on my Vcore 3.1 500 i never fixed, i just let the beacon do its job....
Beacon compensation
The compensation feels a bit "tame if I can say it like this. I feel it's not doing enough is that weird ? 😅
VC4 400 Both back corners dip
The mesh range is less than 200um, so it would probably work without any changes. However, I would like to understand what could be causing this dual dip. Or perhaps, why does the x-gantry seem to bow more at the back than what it bows in the front? Tried re-tensioning the y-rails, and also tried making sure the y-rails run parallel by moving the gantry before tightening the screws. Seems the y-rail re-positioning/r-tightening had very little effect. This perhaps could be explaind if the y-rai...
Proper beacon mesh sequence
VCore 4 documentation indicates that the beacon initial calibration should be done on the raw aluminum plate. It is only after the heat pad is mounted that it states to also affix the magnetic sticker. Is this accurate? The pictures show the build plate in the bed when manually leveling. Also the beacon initial calibration command does not exist, what do I use then?
VCore4 300 Hybrid
I've got a hump in my mesh but the deviation isn't that big (.18). When I use a straightedge and a flashlight I'm able to see light on the edges so am wondering if this is just "how it is" for this bed or if there's more I can do. I've verified as well as I'm able that everything is square and I've also loosened up the x-rail bolts (a torque wrench is arriving tomorrow so I can verify 0.98Nm) but so far can't seem to get it any better than this. Any ideas? I'm not (really) complaining as I c...
Solution:
You could but 0.1mm on the stock bed is about as good as it gets from my understanding
MIN MAX BED
I have a bed as in the image my tool head when it goes to the rear to home Y it moves past the bed. Like 15 mm. So i sent position endstop to 415. My postion max to 415? My problem is that when i used the bltouch they are both over the bed, but now with the beacon it is outside. I know i c.an set Z tilt for the poisition. But do I need to add a offset for the bed so when i do the bed mesh it reads inside the bed.
Solution:
Ok all correct now just had to put in the right points.
Wave in bed (VC4-500)
I have a similar mesh heighhtmap result with my V-Core4-500 like this:

I already did this:

How do I get rid of the waves?
I have used a torque driver to screw every screw like in the guide to 1.0Nm.
Would it be better to have a screw in the Y-axis linear rails in every 2nd hole instead of every hole? (Maybe)...
