Y accel wont go above 2000 - vcore 3.1 with toolhead
I recently upgraded my printer to the new ratrig toolhead with the ebb42 1.2 board, (I also have the beacon but it was fine with the beacon before the upgrade) and now my recommended Y accel wont go above 2000. Before the upgrade it was around 6000 accel. When I move the motion system around it feels smooth and stable. I've check every screw related to the Y access and I can't find anything loose. I'm not sure how to read these graphs but hopefully someone else can help
v4 idex 500 tuning
hello,
so ive been spending a lot, A LOT, of time trying to tune my printer and ive reached that point that im only getting things worse.
as far as i understand x axis are not so bad, could be better but... meh. but the y axis looks terrible....
Wonky shaper, accepting ideas on what to check
Belts look good, but shaper graphs are weird, Y is almost clean but X is messed up, I have tried to find the source of the vibrations but can't seemingly find anything, any ideas?
VCore 4 IDEX 400 Belt Tension
Hi all,
I have come here due to the acknowledged lack of information for tensioning the IDEX variant of the VCore 4.
These are my Belt tension graphs, and with the lack of information, I have no idea where to really start with looking for things to fix. Built according to build guide, bed level is good, but these graphs seem to suggest something is very out....
Belt tension & shaper graphs
I have an enclosed VC-3.1 500. Doing the 1st resonance tests after a installing a new toolhead & AWD.
Can someone help as to what might be the cause of 3 peaks on the belt tension?
I think the X & Y resonance graphs look OK but would like suggestions for improvement especially on X....
VC4 500 Idex Belt Tension
This is my current result after trying for the whole day now. I cant get it smoother than this. I dont fully understand how to read the graphs i just did it by trial and error. Any Tips?
VC4 500mm IDEX
So I've been at this for quite a while now. I've made sure the gantry is square to the back motor mounts with no belts on it. I then added the belts on. I kept Y loose (almost slack), tuned the X and DC belts without issue to get either MZV or ZV recommended with usually 0% vibration. Both T0 and T1 X look good, and are giving what I think are reasonable accelerations with MZV (upper 6k) - first photo is representative).
I can also usually get T0 Y to be pretty decent, all things considered. T1 Y has been a significant problem, often with an unknown peak around 90hz. I occasionally get one around 125hz, however cannot find anything loose or vibrating on the toolhead (and I have T1 wire managed the exact same way as T0, which does not have this issue).
Furthermore, while I can ultimately get somewhat decent graphs and accelerations at the end of the day, I get significant dynamic skewing during printing. I suspect this is because my Y belts need to be so loose to achieve good Y IS graphs. Tightening them even slightly produces horrible Y graphs (third photo)....
Can't get second peaks to align
I've been struggling with this for a few weeks basically. No matter what i do they won't align.
Here is what i've already tried:
- evenly cutting belts
- realigning x axis ...
PI appears to crash after running GENERATE_SHAPER_GRAPHS and MEASURE_COREXYBELT_TENSION
(I hope I'm asking this in the right place, I can't post in https://discord.com/channels/582187371529764864/1047083812875677756)
I have an error after mounting an ADXL345 on my rat rig and I'm not as technically inclined as a lot of other people on here, my printer appears to keep crashing after doing a frequency test - this one occurred after I did the "MEASURE_COREXY_BELT_TENSION" command and any measurement command related to the ADXL345.
When running those commands the PI seems to either crash or enter some bizarre infinite loop, because it stops sending information to the web interface when starting its calculations for the shaper graph and it eventually disconnects from that altogether and I have to restart it to get it to reconnect and control....
Hybrid Vcore4 400mm where to trouble shoot?
Not sure how to trouble shoot this, why does the Y differ so much from the X axis? Also I believe the late peak has something to do with the eebb board not being attached to the extruder would this be a correct assumption?
VC4 500 Hybrid Belts graphs
Hello, I'm trying to adjust the belt tension of my hybrid system. These are the input shaper graphs so far.
Are them good enough? Why I'm having a "cut" on the curve?...
Good belt tension range for VC4-300?
Does anyone know ball park belt tension ranges for the VC4-300? Ideally in Newton Metres, as I have laid my hands on a Biqu Belter.
V4 500 Only Corexy for now.
Is there any guidelines to tune properly the belts?
I've tried more tension, less tension and I can't get a second spike....
Upper Belt Flatlines
V-Core 3.1. Tension is the same on both belts, resonance graph is confusing me. Upper and Lower belts look really close except for that 50-125 range. Something is causing the Upper belt to not register in that range. Any help?
V4 500 Hybrid second Y resonance peak?
Any ideas what could be causing this second peak on my Y graph? Is it likely toolhead vibrations since it's around 100Hz?
V4 500 IDEX Y Problem
Hello
I have the V4 500 Idex and every IS is good (mzv) only from toolhead 0 the y is bad. I don’t know what I can do anymore.
Do you have any ideas or Tipps ?...
Orbitool Accelorometer vs Beacon Accelorometer
I was struggling big time with resonance graphs generated with Orbitool O2 on my newly upgraded toolhead (I also upgraded from EBB42 to Orbitool O2).
The graphs looked horrible for the y-axis and suggested 2900 as max acceleration - see attached images. After changing to use beacon as accelorometer the suggested max acceleration went up to 55300, and the graph looked super clean.
Now can anyone tell me if that is a reliable result? I am not setting accelerations to that value, since the lowest was the x axis with 12400. But the difference in resonance is night and day. Super noisy vs. super clean....
VC4-400 Core-XY
I have been struggling to get the second peak to be the same size on both belts, any ideas?
Can't get the second peak
Hello, I have been trying to adjust the X and Y belts of my V-Core 4 500 for more than a week. This is the best I can achieve, there is no second peak. Even in the comissioning guide appears a second peak, but in the guide in the link in the guide says that one peak is good too. So it is good enough?
Hybrid belts
Hello, I've been trying to get the hybrid belts tuned but It just won't work. As you can see in the first picture, my corexy is tuned well. But when I try to get my hybrids in and tune them on the right tension (F#1 cord atm), it just give me this bad graph (second picture). Can anyone help me please? Thanx in advance!
