Is this a problem with the bed itself or the frame? (V-Core 3.1 500)
So I’ve been doing beacon tests with z tilts adjustments in between each run, to make it more square. I heat soak for around 1-2 hours. The printer stands in my garage (unheated) with enclosure.
I’ve come to the point where both right and left of the back are both around -0.2. Placing same amount of paper on both sides at once do nothing.
Since the 3 motors adjustment points are in a plane and the 2 back sides are almost at the same plane, would this mean my bed is somehow skew in these two sides? Or is it still the frame?
Please enlighten me, as I’ve been doing this for a week now, doing around 100 tests.
Also what should I do about the waves?
I’ve been using a torque screw driver to screw every screw in at the torque. I don’t know what else to do.
There is a screw in every hole of the rail.

generally, don't move the view around because its hard to help you out. just take a screenshot without changing camera angle.
I would try to realign the Y-railes..loosen them one at a time and tighten the screws from one side to the other.. move the gantry from full fwd to full back and tighten the screws one by one when moving the gantry to the back.. repeat for other side
don't over-torque.. if you have a torque-wrench, torque them to 1 Nm
if you don't have a torque-wrench.. try to tighten them equally by hand
Ok cool cool thx 🙂
I used a torque screwdriver from Wera to screw them all with same torque at around 1 Nm..
But I can ofc try again..
did you torque then from one end to the other?
many screws one at each end to secure it and then screws the remaining.. but that casues stresses to the rail
Every second, from one end to the other. Then the rest back.
Pretty much as shown in the guide
However, should it now only be half of them and not all?
Haven't built my vc4 yet but on my vc3.1 I did every other hole
Are you using the Ratrig pei sheet or 3rd party?
RatRig pei.
Would you think it would be better if I removed half of them and then re-torqued them to 1Nm?
Don't think that's an issue if you already torqued all to spec
What you could try is rotate Pei 90 degrees and see if the waves move too
To eliminate Pei sheet problems
Ahh ok good thinking.
Let me check
