Need suggestions on how to improve
Hi, I have this mesh on a Vcore-4 500. I think it needs some improvements. Any suggestions on what to do?
Tolerances of stock bed?
I see this wave in my Heightmap. The Corners looking ok for me for now. I checked all rails and refastened them from one to the other side. No change 😦
It looks like the bed has this wave itself. I checked the bed like this.
What are the default tolerances which would be ok for the bed? Is this a reason to ask for an exchange? Or should i proceed with heater and magnet etc?...
Mysterious Peak
Hi Guys, i have a question, did i messed up when putting the Magnetic Layer on the Aluminium Bed, i got a Peak in the Middle Left part of the Bed (First one at 25-30°C, Second one at 85°C).
Any ideas i could try?...
Z-Tilt error: Retries aborting: Probed points range is increasing
I got that problem and for me it was the couplings from the stepper-motor to the threaded Rods for the Z-axis was loose on one side.
So check them if you run into the same problem!
Also the z-axis stepper motors are seen from the front it seems instead of the electronics side?!...
Is this a problem with the bed itself or the frame? (V-Core 3.1 500)
So I’ve been doing beacon tests with z tilts adjustments in between each run, to make it more square. I heat soak for around 1-2 hours. The printer stands in my garage (unheated) with enclosure.
I’ve come to the point where both right and left of the back are both around -0.2. Placing same amount of paper on both sides at once do nothing.
Since the 3 motors adjustment points are in a plane and the 2 back sides are almost at the same plane, would this mean my bed is somehow skew in these two sides? Or is it still the frame?...
IM at my witts end . I have done the tuning guide and video like 10 times ,
do I just need to get a new gantry ?
Struggling to get rid of this tilt
I've been trying to correct this for days, watched the video and everything. I did put the magnetic sheet and build plate a step early. Please help!
I'm doing home->z-tilt->home->calibrate->adjustment and repeat....
Depression on bed corner - Vcore4 500 hybrid
Hello I've been watching videos on how to address gantry racking and similar but can't get rid of this depression on the back left corner.
I'm printing large ASA parts touching exactly that area and it seems for that reason they warp and come off, specifically there.
I am running the latest updated RatOS, did beacon calibration with bed at 110C and also added scan mesh compensation as per github. Scan compensation doesn't seem to fix completely that depression.
First layers in general come out fine it seems, but that defect screws up my variance and I'd love to fix it. Is it worth messing with the frame at this point ? I am afraid that lowering one corner as shown in the guide and videos could rise the right one....
Having issues with my 500
Looking for some help with my mesh. I've done the leveling guide several times, with no luch. It's starting to frustrate me. When I heat the bed it goes to +1mm at 105, but the belly is still there.
V-Core 3.1 not compensating for BED MESH profile
Has anyone else a problem with the compensation for uneven bed during print not happening? I have done a bed mesh, but during print the z-axis is not moving at all on the current layer, so it seems that the printer is not compensating for the bed mesh profile. It is a newly configured V-Core 3.1, so everything is default in the start print profile.
Do I need to add something to START_PRINT myself in order to get the printer to compensate for the bed mesh profile?
I am running RatOS 2.1....
Solution:
It is fixed!!! I retro fitted the beacon probe to my VCore 3.1, and of course did calibration of it. What I was not aware of was that I needed to do z-offset calibration. I found that part in the V4 commisioning guide. Now it is perfect.
Aftermath. Although the z-offset fixed it to some extent, what really fixed it was the latest release of RatOS 2.1 where the becon functionality got an overhaul and an issue where z-offset was erased at the beginning of every print was fixed. Now z-axis compensates properly according to beacon scan and the ripples and inconsistencies from front to back and left to right are equalized in the first layer....
mash Strange swolt
Hello I have this strange swolt in the left back / middle corner.
Does anyone have any ideas what this could be ?...
Weird wave on Vcore 4 500 hybrid mesh
Hi everyone,
I bought my first coreXY printer and I got this mesh. It seams really wrong for me. i made the mistake to install the magnetic bed too early.
I try to fix it with the guide by moving the front left but it barely change the result following those instruction https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7ZTq2dDTkM&t=881s
from what I get it may be is because of the x gantry....
Enclosed V-Core 3.1 500. Initial Commissioning Mesh
I'm currently running through the Commissioning Guide and been stick on this for a while making adjsutments, checking for squareness etc. I believe I've confirmed squareness, my Squares and Digital Laser indicate everything measures the same on the frame.
I've been following the official ratrig comm guide and rewatched "3D Printers & a whiteboard " 's video about a dozen times. Every time I adjust my A or B corners, it throws the opposite side out as well. I've also tried loosening and retightening the X and two Y Linear Rails as directed
This is still on the bare metal Bed with no Heater Pad or PEI build sheet attached...
Super Pinda, still leaves the first layer uneven on RatRig500
Test :
5 .25mm patches in center and corners
Bed: 80C for 30min plus
Probe: SuperPinda

V-Core 3.1 300 "shifting" mesh
I've been getting really inconsistent first layers and started with the beacon adjustments to see if that would fix it. Now here comes the strange part: I've done two meshes; scan1 and scan2. Both meshes were done right after eachother - and look similar. Only problem is that the second mesh is shifted upward .2 mm.
Anybody have an idea whats going on?...
VC4 500. is my frame crooked or is it the build plate?
Not really an expert on this, if anybody could answer it would help a lot!
