What is causing my print to loosen from buildplate? z_offset?
Hi, My print keeps loosening from the buildplate, is the z_offset to low?
circle not round
Recently started having this issue where my printer creates this pattern around circles. I checked the STL , made it in thinkercad , steps are the highest. Using prusaslicer 2.6 , in viewer the gcode looks like a circle.

Extrusion differences (thickness) and rippling
I just got my V-Core 3.1 400mm put together and run through calibrations. I'm seeing a few problems:
1) I have done the same print on my Ender 3 and it had the same problem, but not to the degree that I'm seeing here. I'm printting a section of a voronoi bowl. Whenever there is a hole in the voronoi pattern the layer that the hole starts on or ends on in the surrounding columns seems to be affected- it becomes very visible.
2) There are some sections that show some weird bumpiness. It looks almost like the infill is showing through. It's not all over, though, so I don't know what's going on.
3) I'm trying to get bridging working better.
I'm new to Prusa Slicer (so maybe there are options that I don't know to click that would help with this?). Everything I've done before is with Cura (couldn't see any starter Cura profiles, though). This is using PLA filament. There are 4 perimeter layers and a gyroid infill. I've tried printing with more perimeters and printing perimeters before infill (this print has that activated). I printed it in white so that the problems would be more visible. White is a pretty popular color for these, though, so I'd like it to look nice. Any help that you could provide would be much appreciated. I'd hate for the quality of my new, fancy Ratrig to be surpassed by my old Ender....
Cant print a first layer correctly
As the title suggests, I'm having trouble getting my first layer to adhere effectively to my build plate. There's often a corner or a straight line that lifts because the nozzle always drags the plastic.
I have leveled my bed three times, but if I increase the Z-offset, the plastic does not adhere at all. If I decrease it further, I get a really messy first layer.
I have cleaned my build plate with alcohol and redone my mesh bed leveling. I have reduced the print speed for my first layer to 30mm/s, with an acceleration of 500mm/s. I am printing with PLA at 220 degrees Celsius. I have a Rapido hotend with a 0.4mm nozzle and an LGX Lite extruder....
Vertical Banding Appears
Hey everyone, so my ratrig has been up and running for a month or so and it’s been great. I recently did this print and it turned out pretty good. Pla, 0.2mm layers.
This is shown in the first pic. Then I changed some slicer setting and the prints started getting vertical Banding, blob layer, etc. So I couldn’t figure it out and reloaded the old gcode and the print looks terrible. What could have caused this?...
Gradual overextrusion
I am getting a problem where the print is gradually developing an overextrusion the higher it goes. It is the most severe towards the center of the bed and it's most prominent when printing Prusament PC-CF
Spaghetti? not sure why
The past few days my print quality has taken a nosedive, to this point. Used this filament before with no problems, printing at a slow speed with cooling and similar settings that I used before without issue. Any idea what’s wrong here? Does it look like it could be related to a nozzle clog? First layer sticks no problem (a little under extruded though), only after that is there issues. Before this white print I printed using a black filament (both PLA, same settings) which wasn’t as bad but sti...
Surface Artifacts
Getting this weird issue lately. It was fine before, but now I have to drop my speed slider to 30% to get rid of it. This is a 100% infill print.
PETG problem around seam
I have a strange issue when printing PETG. I am printing the outermost perimeter first and I have issues like the one in the picture. This happens when a new perimeter is started, where the seam should be. Looks like there is no plastic coming out of the nozzle for the first 1-2 mm of the perimeter line.
Extrusion issues after retraction
I'm printing a fairly large piece of plastic, and after a layer is complete, the machine will move the nozzle to the starting place for the next layer. I am noticing that for about 150mm after the new layer is starting, the extruder starts skipping, causing a small area on the final part that has terrible layer density.
Any ideas on how to solve this issue?
You can see the issue on both of these parts. Notice that the layers are all messed up on the area I'm focused on, but are normal in other areas. This is because this is the area where a new layer begins...
Batch Repair Manifold for use in Openscad
I have a larger project with around 1000 small houses from satellelite images. They are pretty broken, manifolds are damaged, sides are not closing so programming a grid in Openscad isn't an option. Any Idea how I can fix that? Also sometimes a side has artifact like deviations so you have a few polygons instead of one smooth wall.
My goal is to make a grid of the houses in OpenScad....
"Ripple" on bottom and top layers
I've searched for a few days, couldn't find any info on it, "bottom" layers and "top" layers have a ripple going on, during long solid infill extrusions. I've tweaked settings, checked to make sure nothing is loose, cleaned and lubed rails, checked belt tension, z offset, filament, etc.
I'm completely stumped on this one, smaller surface area/shorter extrusions, it's not happening, atleast in a way that I've noticed.

Problems printing PETG
Hello dear Makers
i ran into a Problem printing PETG while the test print seems fine .
I have nothing changed on my config since extruder seens calibrated.
Z height should be ok due to the test Print.
lowered the speed to 50 mm/s for the first Layer. My bed is relative flat on this part of the bed i use adaptive bed mesh. ...
Uneven first layer
Hi I have a V-Core3 500 and the first layer is always uneven where some parts are much too close to the bed and others are too far away! I have it set up to probe 100 points with and inductive probe and it still won’t work. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Jitter along Y Axis
(related to https://discord.com/channels/582187371529764864/1154736140134395994)
Jitter is only present on Y axis when printing a cube parallel to the axis.
X axis has some layer offset, which is not present on the Y axis.
Jitter is present all around when printing in a circle....
Please, I need help. Some bits of the first layer always get scraped up by the nozzle.
I can provide more information if necessary.
First Layer has Lots of Gaps?
I've been having problems with my first layer. It sometimes ends up having gaps like in the pic. I've spent hours adjusting pressure advance, flow rate, and the z offset and I can't seem to get rid of it. I find because of this my first layer adhesion tends to be bad and it tends to lift up frequently. I didn't have this problem before.
Z-Banding V Minion
So I guess this is z banding. Anyone got an idea what I could do against it on my v minion.
Issues with “long blobs”
Hello, having some issues regarding what I believe to be extrusion. I’ve checked extruder esteps and everything is flawless. It extruder isn’t skipping. Additionally there appears to be a sort of “drift” along the X axis as the machine’s gantry seems to slightly layer shift to the right, leading to trapezoidal shapes.
