RatOS - All Repos show as Corrupt

At the request of @miklschmidt I have started a new issue that other users sometimes get. When attempting to update my machine I have "repo is corrupt" for all sections of my update dropdown. Also, this seemed to coincide with my Z probe (euclid) occasionally failing and the nozzle running into the bed. Replacing the euclid did nothing, but the probe now says triggered all the time....

NetworkManager not working after update

Timer too close error, log files wrapping???

I have gotten intermittent (as in maybe every week at most) "Timer too close" errors that hose a print. While looking at the latest klippy.log I noticed that it happened right after midnight for the raspberry pi OS localtime. While looking at the log files I noticed that my crowsnest log file was huge (2GB). I am now suspicious that the "timer too close" error is caused by the log file wrapping that happens at midnight. Move Out of range but not

The problem: After the print fails because of "Move out of range" I can still move the printhead manually (stilled homed). The position is at 1.77mm in X (where it failed) but if I tell it to move 0.1mm to the left (just did this in the picture) it says again out of range. But it clearly is not. Accoriding to the error message + 0,1mm the real current position is 0,046mm and not 1,77mm. There seems to be an offset but I dont know from where? Background: I want to print a keyboard filling nearly the complete x length of my vCore 3.1 400mm. It is 405mm long, but I increased the x length in the firmware and Orca Slicer to 408mm. I doublechecked and there is enough clearance to move the head this far. I printed several keyboards before with this setup a few months ago. But now it doesnt work anymore. Orca Slicer does not give a warning of a move outside the printbed. ...

homing always goes to the middle of the bed, and then goes to the new home position (two times)

We are trying to home the system (RatRig V-core 3.1) on another spot on the bed. For this we use the save Z home function. The printer does indeed home on the correct spot but always starts by going to his initial, middle of bed, position. We do not want this! Also, when it goes from the middle position to the new homing position, it does this movement twice. We have no clue why. Would be nice if someone would help out. Kind regards. ❤️...

Hi, Trying to run the updater and all of the files showed up as corrupt (with the message "repo is corrupt") and hard recovery isn't working. The printer seems fine (although the z probe fails occasionally for unknown reasons and the bed crashes into the nozzle) Is this a known issue or do I have to reflash something?...

Settings locations and priorities / hierarchy / overrides?

I have a RatRig V-Core 3 running RatOS on a raspberry pi and I use superslicer. Is there a diagram or chart that lists all the places that settings can be adjusted along with which ones override which. This includes the settings in superslicer and printer.cfg as well as all the other config/macro files. I am always wondering where I should make changes to various settings/configuration and questioning if they're being overridden somewhere else. One example, if I want to change PA for a new filam...

Prusa Einsy board and Serial UART?

Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone can guide me to some information on how to get an RPi Zero 2W to work in Serial UART after configuring the Prusa Einsy board according to the RatOS2 guide. I have done everything and it works perfectly connected via USB to the Prusa Einsy board but I would like to mount the RPi Zero 2W as you can do in the original design and mount the RPi Zero 2W to the back of the Prusa Einsy board via Serial UART I know @miklschmidt and @blacksmithforlife 🇺🇸 develop RatOS for RatRig V-core and V-minion printers primarily but you are my best hope to find help for my request as I have not been able to locate any direct answer or help in this channel Thank you for all the time you take to help people like me...

Solution:

Afterwards you would need to override the mcu serial and specify the UART port instead.

I have a manta m8p with a ebb36 tool head finishing the setting up of the printer, the xtop connected to the ebb36 is always showing as triggered. if i connect it the board (using different wires) it works cant seem to fiigure out what is going on

Problems during installation

Hello everyone, I'm having a problem reinstalling my V.Core 3.1 400. I flashed a new card with the latest ratos version, then the start screen came up but then it stopped!
