Is it possible to edit board-definition.json (SKR 3 pin definition error)

Is it at all possible to change the pin definitions in the primary config file, or would I have to reupload the json file?

@ItsJesus | V-Core 3.1 IDEX Test implemented that now catches these mistakes correctly. Fix is pushed! Update RatOS and let me know if you run into other goofs.

Questions About Light Theme and Multilingual Support

Hi there, I have a couple of questions about your site and printer configurator: Are there any plans to add a light theme to the documentation site, or is it already possible to switch to one? I find it hard to read light text on a dark background for too long because it strains my eyes. Will there be support for multiple languages in the printer configurator? ...
Solution:
The docs site will receive some style updates for v2.1.x release. I'll look into light mode, but no promises. Currently i don't plan on translating the configurator. I don't know how to help you with "a few snags", you're gonna have to be very specific and detailed in your description of the problems you're encountering, or i won't know what to look for....

MCU 'toolboard' shutdown: ADC out of range. Suddenly I have changed nothing on the printer.

While printing half way after about 8 hours i get this error. I also do not really understand why. Is my thermistor broken.
The error now always shows up and Im unable to print...

RatOS2.1 hotend fan pin swap not working

I had this line in my printer config to swap hotend fan to PD13 but now I'm running 2.1 the hotend fan is not working, I did see something about pin aliases not beeing required in 2.1 so what do I need to change this too to get my fan working again? [fan] Swap part cooling fan to a new port on the board as i shorted out the original and killed it pin:PD13...

yes part cooling is now working and hot end cooling too, still a little confused as my part cooling is on a different port on the octopus as i shorted and killed the original but i dont have the pin switch line in printer.cfg but it still works

Where would these settings come from in RatOS.cfg?

I did a comparison of my config from 2.0 to 2.1. I can't figure out where this change originated. max_z_velocity: 50 max_z_accel: 600...
Solution:
Performance limits come from printer-defintiion.json. not the printer configs. We're in backwards compat land.

No realtime resonance graphs on RatOS v2.1.0-RC1-14-g19ed1de0

Is there anything needed to enable the realtime resonance graph page? I have a beacon rev H configured, it works as a probe (including contact) and I can run an axis noise measurement off it so I believe the accelerometer is fine, but nothing I do makes anything show in the resonance graphs (I clicked the start button), they're all just flat zero traces. I've also got the EBB42 1.2 toolboard which isn't configured as an accelerometer anywhere and switching to that produces errors in the browser...
Solution:
The beacon accelerometer isn't supported yet, it's data is formatted differently, will be supported as soon as i can get back to working on the resonance graphs after the docs are done. The EBB42 is, but you can't select it from the RAT, you'd need to assign it to your toolhead in the hardware configurator to use it (you don't have to save it to the configuration, just select it in the dropdown)....

Which Thermistor to Choose

Hello fellow RatRiggers. 2+ years after receiving my V-Core 3.0, starting the build but being unable to continue it. Ordering and receiving the 3.1 upgrade, rebuilding the 400, again not being able to finish the build short after receiving it, I finally finalised it last weekend. Lucky for me RatOS 2.1 just was released (temp release but I tried it anyway). Feedback. The auto flash and semi auto flash do not work flawlessly. I had to shut down the power to have my Octopus Pro 446 rebooted properly. Also the timeout works fine so both Octopus as my toolboard needed repeatedly a retry but eventually everything worked perfect. Question: I ordered the 3.0 with a mosquito magnum hotend and a NTC 100K B3950 thermistor at RATRIG. In the 2.1 pulldown it shows a 100K with a different type or generic B3950 thermistor. Which is the one to choose? I chose the generic B3950 for now. Is this the right one or should I choose the 100K? If so how and where to change it. Question 2: If I change nozzle to CHT what do I have to change (I now chose the regular nozzle)...

RatOs manual install

Hey rats, I'm been a long time klipper user but starting to look at the ratrig system, especially after seeing the new RatOs 2.1 trailer showing off the camera assisted nozzle alignment and live vibration data. I have a diy cross gantry machine that's running klipper on a pi 4 and uses two mellow super 8 mcu's. It will soon become a tool changer (prusa xl style) so the visual tool alignment application looks awesome for that! I'm pretty confident in klipper configs and so on, but everything happening in ssh is black magic for me. I'm good at following a step by step guide, but I honestly have no clue what I'm doing in ssh xD ...
Solution:
I would start with a pull request to support the main board you have and then work from there.

Maybe I am doing something wrong, but 2.1 homing scratched the hell out of my build plate

So it seems that I got myself in a little pickle. The X and Y homing procedure raises the bed for some reason, it did this both on X and Y. You can't run BEACON_CALIBRATE without homing X and Y, but if your bed is too high when you try and home them it will push the bed into the nozzle then scratch the hell out of your bed plate. I didn't have an issue at all getting any of this set up in 2.0, so I wasn't ready with the emergency stop.

Intermittent connectivity issue with both MCUs

Hello, I have a voron v0.2 that runs ratos on a pi4b 1g connected to an EBB36 v1.2 and an SKRat v1.0. I have verified that every component works individually. I swapped the SKRat from my minion and it still has the same issues. I swapped in a spare rpi and the issue still persists. Same with the EBB36. I have redone the cabling multiple times for both MCUs and the problem still persists. I have reinstalled RatOS v2.0.2 twice using new sd cards and I am currently on the prerelease v2.1.0 with no change. The issue is that around 25% into any print (an average I've had prints stop immediately and I had one finish) I will lose connectivity with either of the 2 MCUs. Attached is the klippy.log which I don't know how to read and a screenshot of the error in klipper. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated!...

sensorless homing tuning hits other end

How should I tune sensorless homing? Now if I set SET_TMC_FIELD STEPPER=stepper_x FIELD=SGTHRS VALUE=255 and G28 X0, it will detect stall immeditely and then try to move the the mid point of X carriage, which it now thinks is 150/200/250 mm towards the other end of the rail, and might hit the y extrusions. My question is really that how do I stop the override of G28 that moves the head to the middle. Tried looking at "homing_override", but only found reference to that in config/Ratos/klippy...

RatOS 2.1 - Change X/Y Stepper Direction

Hello all! Firstly i'd like that say a huge thank you and congradulations to the devs for the 2.1 update - i can tell a lot of hard work and late nights has gone into this to make Klipper so much easier to work with. GGs! Now, for my issue, i've just updated from 2.0.2 to 2.1 (new flash) - set up my boards, BTT O v1.1 and EBB42 v1.1 - had a few teething issues at the start, but a few reflashes and things are back to normal (fans just chilling at 100% power when klipper indicated 0 etc)...

RAT OS 2.1 RC1 Homing Issue

Fresh Install of Rat Os 2.0 , verify motor directions and endstops. Home X and Y and the printer PUSHES the Z up into the nozzle when homing Y and X (Which is the opposite function of RATOS2.0 to reduce hitting extruder before homing Z) . Then it says 'no beacon model found' when trying to home Z. So to use the Z i need to calibrate_beacon, but when I calibrate Z it says out of range when trying to save the beacon profile. What I did , fresh install 2.0 , verify everything motion, then i updated using the update manager, then tried to home. So maybe the update broke something. Picture for the LOL....
