webcam stream not found

I get the error as in title when I go to VAOC tab in mainsail. I can see the stream from the camera when I add it to mainsail so the camera itself is working. I added the configuration to crowsnest.conf as per idex commisioning guide. In chrome console I see the following errors:

When I go to http://ratos.local/webcam/webrtc I see Not Found so webrtc stream is not working at all Also, idex commisioning guide says to set mode to "camera-streamer" but crowsnest logs say: [11/17/24 16:23:33] crowsnest: Try to start configured Cams / Services... [11/17/24 16:23:37] crowsnest: INFO: Configuration of Section [cam 1] looks good. Continue ... [11/17/24 16:23:37] crowsnest: WARN: Mode 'camera-streamer' is not supported on your device! [11/17/24 16:23:37] crowsnest: WARN: Falling back to Mode 'ustreamer' [11/17/24 16:23:38] crowsnest: V4L2 Control: No parameters set for [cam 1]. Skipped. [11/17/24 16:23:42] crowsnest: Starting ustreamer with Device /dev/video0 ... [11/17/24 16:23:44] crowsnest: ... Done! P.S. When I said "I can see the stream from the camera" I meant with default settings when clicling on "add camera" so with adaptive mjpeg-streamer rather than webrtc (camera-streamer)

See the rat rig guide. VAOC only supports webrtc / camera-streamer on port 8080 (search should tell you, i written that quite a few times, plus it's in the rat rig instructions). What device are you using? Is it a CB1? Shit outta luck i'm afraid. There's a reason it's not officially supported.

I am following idex commisioning and I know that " VAOC only supports webrtc / camera-streamer on port 8080". As I said I've put config from idex commisioning guide.

I guess you could try and set up a WebRTC stream on port 8080 using something else, you might be able to get that to work, dno.

Yes, it's CB1

CB1 does not support libcamera, which is required by camera-streamer

So you're saying that my issue is because I have CB1 instead of Rpi?

indeed

bummer 😦 only if I knew that before ordering the kit. Hard to find out what is officially supported if docs for 2.1 are not available But thanks, that at least clarifies things 👍

It's marked experimental We recommend raspberry pi's everywhere pretty much Rat rig has never sold a kit with CB1's The current RatOS CB1 image is a user contribution.

Gotcha. Wanted to move to Kraken anyway so would need to switch to rpi anyway

Don't get the Kraken

It's a great board... For CNC's. it makes no sense on a 3d printer, 4 of the sensresistors are stupidly overdimensioned.

Alright, so all roads lead to Octopus? 😅

Which means shiity microstep performance on every single stepper you'd ever put on a 3D printer. Octopus or Manta M8P v2.0 would be my goto's yeah

I have Manta M8P V2.0

And don't get a Raspberry Pi 5 either! 😄

wait, can I just put rpi CM on it instead of CB1 and that will solve my problem?

of course
