Out of the Blue unable to connect to mcu...

Ok.. i'm at a loss as to what happened and why. I have a Rat 500, all metal hotend and I printed 2 or 3 things yesterday, including mount for the BTT SFS V2.0. I hooked up the new SFS, plugged it in as shown in the document. All seem's good, the Dashboard showed the sensor and showed it had filament. I decided to check if I had any updates that were needed before starting a print...there were a couple so i applied them and now I can't get the pi to connect to the mcu, but yet, when i go to the http://ratos.local/configure?step=1 and in the upper right hand side and under Moonraker I choose flash all attached MCU's and it goes through and flashes and says successfuly flashed attached 1/1 mcu. I reboot and still the problem is there. Here is what log file is showing. Any help is greatly appreciated mcu 'mcu': Starting serial connect mcu 'mcu': Unable to open serial port: [Errno 2] could not open port /dev/btt-octopus-11: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/dev/btt-octopus-11' webhooks client 548140481792: New connection...

Voids in layer after detail change

I have some tendrils due to retraction but that's not what I'm worried about. I don't know what to make of those void layers after the hole starts on the front of the boat. But only at the start, the rest of the hull is fine. It's not pressure advance, I tested without PA turned on and it was still an issue....

wave artifacts

Hello Ratrig lovers. Can anyone tell me what is causing these waves? Have input shaper and LA calibrated. I have changed various extruder settings, but nothing changes....

Parse Error

Half way through a print I got a "Unable to parse move 'G1 F6000 X214.444 Y202.413 E2500.64834'0" and it just stopped. I used the Adaptive Meshing for the frist time could it have anything to do with that?...

Large gaps in first layer, unsure what to try next (V-Core 3.1 400mm)

Hi everyone, I did my first test print yesterday, following the commissioning guides closely. As seen in the images, I have large gaps in my first layers, except strangely for the corner it begins printing first (second photo, top right of print). I strongly believe my nozzle / Z is offset correctly. What I have kept constant:...

easy fix?

Cant seem to get rid of these indents on what i suspect is the z-seam. ABS with SuperSlicer. Retraction issue?

My nozzle stole my print

Hi, so I recently got back into 3D printing. Re-configured my v-core 3.0 500. And my nozzle seems to be stealing my print? I don’t think the layers are adhering properly or printing properly, as I tried to print a calibration cube and the perimeter seems a little thin, and the first layer seems to have not printed very well at all. The first picture shows the print after I stopped it on klipper. Printing with PETG @ 250C extruder and 80C bed temp. Might be a slicer issue but I’m not too sure, I’m using SuperSlicer if that helps, thanks! Also I’d like to add, I’m using a 0.4mm nozzle, 0.3mm first layer and the rest at 0.2mm. Maybe it’s a z-offset issue? Not sure, if anyone could help I’d appreciate it...

Extruder not working in specific corner.

Hey people, I am currently printing a part for my vcore3 awd mod and noticed the printer underextruding at the front of the piece. Everything else is perfect except at that corner. ASA @270C with cht nozzle and max 7mm³ flow. I think it might be the Extruder cable. (Maybe broken)....

HELP! Please review my slicer settings

As the title states, I just want someone to review my slicer settings. I have a RR V-Core 3.1 500 with a 0.6mm nozzle. I haven't gotten a single print out of it yet. I want to use PETG, but since that wasn't working, started using PLA, still to no success.
I have a Bondtech LGX Lite, a Rapido UHF Hotend, a Diamondback Volcano 0.6mm Nozzle, a Beacon Scanner, a EBB36 Toolboard. The resonance is good. The bed level is good.
Here is my printer CFG and Orca Slicer settings. I have kept things like speeds and other things default because I haven't had a chance to tune them as I can't even tune the temperature. The only thing I have done is be able to print a first layer test to ensure I have the correct Z-Offset. ...

V-minion carriage type ?

I need to replace the carriage of my V-minion. What carriage is it using ? MGN15C ?

Possible underextrusion?

Have been having this issue that looks like underextrusion using the default Prusaslicer HF profile for the V-Core, rapido 2.0 UHF and orbiter V2. This is a basic calibration cube I printed, I double checked E-Steps and extruder tension, and I’ve tried with multiple dried filaments and 2 slicers now, so I’m not sure what is causing this. Printing at 205 and 160mm/s so I don’t think I am running too fast, but don’t know what’s causing it

No bridging is possible

I am having troubles to get any bridge done on my V3. I have Rapido with Orbiter and SANYO DENKI 4028 Axial Fan - 9GAX0412P3S001 . I tried to play with the bridge speeds, fan speeds and other settings but without any resolution. I tried also to use prusa slicer as well as super slicer, tried even default profiles etc but without any improvement. I am attaching an exported super slicer project as well as a video. Any help would be greatly appreciated

ToolHead Front Printing

Hello Everyone, I have an issue for printing the new toolhead parts. I have some holes and I can't find the setting. I sliced the parts on Superslicer and orca 1.7. And a friends slice it with the same issue. I am thinking about an issue with the wall wide of the files Can some one help me ?...

Hole Tolerance

I've had my v-core 3 for a while now but one issue I've been battling with from day 1 is horrible hole tolerances. Clearance test prints seize up with anything below 0.3mm tolerance and if the holes are very small it gets even worse. Outside dimensions are spot-on on all axes. I understand that XY compensation is a way of addressing this, but a) unfortunately PrusaSlicer doesn't allow setting that separately for holes and b) my Prusa achieves much tighter tolerances without such adjustments, so...

esun epa cf Problem

Hello, I have an issue with my 3D printing. It only occurs with the EPA CF material; all other 3D print results are error-free. I’ve already adjusted the flow rate, but the problem keeps happening at regular intervals. What could I try to resolve it?

Best back_core_xy part orientation and sticking advice? Constant curl upwards on 'top' two corners.

Anyone know if there is a better way to orient the "back_core_xy" EVA3 hotend part other than flat (with the side that ultimately faces the front of the printer facing down)? Try as I might, I absolutely cannot get the two topmost corners of this part to not curl up from my PEI spring steel during the print with this Hatchbox ABS I have. I've tried printing enclosed, tried wider (~.5mm) as well as taller (~.3mm) first layers, tried setting both extremely low as well as more normal z-offsets to really "smush" the filament in, tried an older as well as a brand new PEI spring steel plate (two different manufacturers), tried multiple bed adhesives, tried bed temps of 90, 115, and everywhere in between...and no matter what those two corners just like to pull upwards even though the rest of the part sticks just fine. Anyone have any thoughts here on anything else I can try? The only thing I can think of that I haven't tried yet (will tonight or tomorrow) is printing with a brim...but man this one is kicking me and with every other thing I've tried above having made literally zero difference for better or worse that I'm struggling to believe a brim alone will be the fix. I also am having trouble understanding (from a printing mechanics perspective) what exactly makes these two corners be so evil to me lol. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!...

Switched to 0.6mm nozzle, rough time of calibration

I put in the 0.6mm nozzle that comes with the Rapido 2 and I'm trying to calibrate everything. I'm hitting some problems that I can't seem to figure out, though. Anyone have any thoughts/tips/0.6 profiles? - Red: This is the edge that the z-seam is on. It seems to have a chunk out of it. I have tried to calibrate the Pressure Advance. The other corners seem fine, just the one with the seam. It's currently set at 0.017 (it is 0.025 for my 0.4 mm nozzle). - Yellow: The edges don't appear to be straight. There's a bulge in the middle, most visible on the corners. I've tried messing with the extrusion percentage and the line widths, but it doesn't seem to completely go away. - Green: There are some small gaps between the top infill and the perimeters. If I bump the extrusion up enough, those close up, but then the surface on the top is rough due to being over-extruded....

over extrusion and under extrusion on the same print

Hi all, I have a print that on one side is over extruding almost to the point of failing and on the other side has areas that don't have enough extrusion. Seems like too much plastic on one side of the print and not enough on the other. ...

Inconsistent First Layers vcore 3.1 w .6mm nozzle

I did the first layer test print yesterday after calibrating the probe offset. I eventually adjusted the z offset until the top surface of the first layer test was very smooth, let the print complete, and saved the adjustment to the config. Today I went to print a calibration cube, and the skirt and outer perimeters of the cube's first layer printed horribly. About halfway through the solid infill portion of the first layer it suddenly turned smooth again and the print completed properly. Attach...
