printer.cfg changes lost on power cycle

When I turn the machine off and back on again the printer.cfg and RatOS.cfg revert back to original files without the updates. I can save/restart and the changes are there. (Mostly has to do with the fans (remove the "!") and my IS settings. How do I force the saves to be permanent?...

Maybe. Do you have another SD card and can just flash it and test? Worst case if it does not work you still have your original OS

can ERCF v2 work on RATOS 2.1

i have Rat0s 2.1 installed on all of my machines 8 Voron 2.4 350s and my 2 rat rig 500s, this is my 1st ERCF build and wanna make sure it will work with the 2.1 OS, if not i need to pick a machine to reinstall klipper on lol i really dont wanna do that.

limit speed

How do I reduce the max speed & accel. I have added the following to my printer.cfg file. The overall limits appear to have set OK but my bed mesh & Z-tilt are still trying to move too fast. The problem is I have changed the motors to LDO 2804s thinking that they had more speed but they simply do not have the power / torque for the VC-500. sensorless homing safe homing

Hello everyone, im having an odd issue, couldnt see anyone else thats had it and cant for the life of me figure out how i fxed it before. My V0 is doing sensorless homing and homing fine but when the toolhead goes to automatically return to centre it just buzzes like it doesn't have enough power to move, is there a different set of current settings that need to be changed for the post sensorless element of the homing process?

HI all. How to install RatOs 2.1 (I'm in the 2.02-36 ) on a vcore 3.1 to be able to use beacon contact? And do you know if it is possible to connect to the printer with the Internet to access mainsail from anywhere?

X axis inverted after upgrading from 1.2 to last release :

Every thing went fine but when testing motion, x axis is inverted. I have tried all config of ! before dirpin in printer.cfg. Is it possible the motor wiring had changed in 2.0? And have only the problem on x motor?

so looking carefully the picture, i think i was wrong : x homing = 0 , et y homing is ymax; so the right config is putting ! before each x and y pin; will try this

Cant get RatOS working on a Voron2.4 with Euclid Probe to Set Z height

I recently bought a used Voron 2.4 that had a Spider 3.0 board. My main printer is a Vcore3.1 running RatOS and I love the configuration and Software updates that go with it.
Since the Spider 3.0 is not supported by RatOS, I decided to purchase an Octopus Pro 446 to put in the Voron and set it up with RatOS.
I have most everything working; motors, fans, heaters, temp probes, end stops, etc; but I am stuck and having problems with setting the Z height and getting the Euclid probe to work. Whenever I try to home the Z axis, it first tries to do something the Euclid probe and then errors out when it doesn't see the probe. This might be the right procedure with a VCore but on...

Adding more Z steppers to config

Hello, Im in the middle of doing a voron 0 pandoras box build, im using the voron 0 example config, The issue is that pandoras box has 3 point z tramming, How would i go about adding parts into my config to make these new 2 steppers work? im using the skr pro 1.2 so have enough stepper extruder drivers. Im thinking would it be easier to config it as a vcore 3 and just change the size and add sensorless homing?

BEACON_INITIAL_CALIBRATION moves the head to incorrect place, crashing head

Vc4 400. v2.1.0-RC2-106-g8614d79e. Most of the time the BEACON_INITIAL_CALIBRATION works ok. However on two occasions it (or BEACON_RATOS_CALIBRATE) has now moved the head to x=400 before doing initial approach. First time was as part of BEACON_RATOS_CALIBRATE. The second time was when running it explicitly. The first time this happenend, I believe the y was also set to 400, since the head moved to the very back right corner. In that position there is nothing that beacon would detect, so the head crashed with the bed during the initial approach. The second time y was at 200, so perhaps beacon would have stopped, but i switched off the printer rather than wait and see.
What might cause this? An uninitialized variable somewhere? ...
Solution:
Missing G90. You're in relative positioning, so you've already homed and have moved the axis around with the mainsail toolhead dialog (which sets relative positioning)
