How do I improve from this test?

I've printed this tuning test on my VCore 3.1 400 with a 0.6mm nozzle, in PLA at 215c through a Rapido HF/Orbiter 2, 100mm/s & 4k acceleration external perimeters. PA set to 0.045 and IS active in RRF (yeah not using Klipper but RRF on Duet 6HC). Layer height 0.2mm. The print took roughly 1h, 40min. I printed a Benchy with the same settings that looks pretty good, some ringing but overall better than this larger test. I understand this model was (probably) designed for a 0.4mm nozzle so the fine details will suffer. ...

overextruded solid layers with Extrudr Durapro ABS,

I am only having issues with ABS, PLA, PCTG etc work without such issues. I am having issues with the Extrudr ABS: solid layers get overextruded altough I did calibrate the flow rate to match the extrusion with of single perimeters exactly. ...

Underextrusion at layer change when printing at high speeds.

I'm running into issues when printing at higher speeds on my VC3 400. The issue is independent of the used filament manufacturer. I currently print PETG that's been in a food dehydrator for 24hrs, so probably as dry as you can get. Setup is a NF-Crazy (Mosquito-Clone) with a Volcano-Style Block (Like the Volcomosq, but also by Mellow). The nozzle is a CHT-Clone 0.6mm with a CNC Volcano nozzle adapter. The setup itself is quite capable in the sense that you can melt a shitton of material at once, but i get really ugly layer changes:...

ASA first print

This looks like over extrusion. But in some places it looks fine. Seems to be blobby around where layers start/end, and sharp corners. By the way this isn't a Ratrig. I'm trying to get some acceptable settings to print parts for my new Ratrig on an old printer....

"Heat soaking"?

Is this just something that's done the first few times I print to get everything settled in? It seems like a hassle and a waste of energy to leave a printer heating for an hour before each print sesh, especially if one were to only print a few times a week....

Large ABS Print Issues

Good Morning! I was hoping to get some advice on an issue I've been having with a print. The machine is new, and does great on small parts, but has failed every time I've tried to print this larger one. The supports/infill extrusions have poor layer adhesion and on occasion exhibit a "pulsing" behavior. Overhangs as well (long sides of print). It can print a benchy fine, and other test prints fine, it's just the large prints. First layer adhesion is fantastic with no warping and good extrusion adhesion between lines. Info about the setup: - Nozzle 0.8, layer height 0.45 - ABS Hatchbox Filament...

First few layers of prints are curved

After getting though a bunch of initial calibration and tuning, I began printing some parts, but they all had a similar flaw. The first few layers are not flat and curve upwards toward the edges. It isn't severe, but it is noticeable and enough that parts that are supposed to fit together need some sanding or filing. Any common reasons for this? Some info about my setup: Duramic 3D PETG Black 250/80...

BAD Z Artifacts on new V Minion

Hello all. I have really bad Z Artifacts on a newly build V Minion. I've checked the lead screw a couple times and got it as square to the frame and as straight as possible (even used some 3D printed tools) and it doesnt seem wiggle at all when going from Z0 to Z180. Halp!

Temp tower with no real difference?

I just got a new filament (PrimaSelect PLA Chameleon), did some simple tests that looked good (at 205c) then printed this temp tower which didn't turn out very well and doesn't say so much too me so was hoping some more experienced person could help me a bit ๐Ÿ™‚ The marks on the back side, see on the top (colder) parts, what are those and did they show only due to the lower temp? How about the stringing? I had retraction set to 0.5mm....

Cura 5.3.0 generating bad gcode

I have formatted my pc and I used the opportunity to upgrade Cura from 5.1.0 to 5.3.0 I tried to import my config backup but I was getting errors so I created a new profile from scratch for my v-core 3. Now when I'm slicing in Cura and Importing the gcode to my printer its seems like its printing the file inverted or trying to print only the infill. Its coming out flimsy and full of holes, to make sure I'm not losing my mind I recalibrate my printer and even replaced the nozzle to a brand new one and I'm getting the same thing....
