Getting started & maybe files missing?

I had Klipper running before but I wanted to try RatOS. I have used a new SD card & flashed the control board. I am having some issues with just getting started. Apologies if these are stupid questions or if I have missed something really obvious. I have included the Beacon .cfg in my printer.cfg but I cannot do a Z-home. When I go into the file RatOS/z-probe/beacon.cfg there is very little information there. THere is a lot more on the RatOS github. What am I missing here?...

octopus pro wont detect on setup and unable to compile data to flash board

I al trying to flash my board from either my raspberry pi 4 connection or compule the data to download it… The software doesnt detect a board connected and when i click compile nothing happens… this is my first time building a printer so everything to do with this is a little foreign to me ov tried several different usb leads i had laying aroun to try and see if it was that including unplugging the tool head and trying that one still no communication and no compiling option iv also tried powering the psu and just the board that way and powering the pi by usb c still to no avail any help or advice i would really really appreciate Thanks...

Prime blob on 300 size v4 is in the way

Printing a 294x294 model centered on the build plate, the prime blob is right where the right corner of the print will print.

Solution:

Yeah it's at 5,5 for safey since people aren't always great at calibrating their endstops and some machines don't have any extra space (and on those that do, many chooses to use the entire space anyway). You can manually override the primeblob position and put it at 0,0...

1mm nozzle prime blob dangerously big

Hi guys, I'm just trying out a 1mm nozzle. Prime blob seemed fine until I set the nozzle to 1mm in ratos because mid print I got the extrusion limit error because the printer was probably still in 0.4 nozzle mode.

uh oh in configurator v2.1.0-RC1-33 [current values]

observation in ratos 2.1rc "Uh oh, something went wrong!" ? Config->Motion->pick driver->delete entry in "current" ->boom
background/intend: ... Not sure which 5160 to pick (got a BTT TMC5160T which is not listed, only PROs) , so thought I'd pick one, set the current really low as precaution then try to figure out in config files next step. On deleting the preset entry to enter a new one it crashes. Seems reproducible. Also UhOhs on other entries, like "1.". And the up-down arrows change in full 1A increments (maybe 0.1A increments are more suitable. Not really a problem, just feedback on the ui since its rc....

pullup_resistor :ERROR

I have installed the lRatOS 2.1 updayed today, I'm getting the error "Option 'pullup_resistor' is not valid in section 'extruder'"" because I have the EBB42 wired using the MAxX sensor (workubg fine in Rat OS 2.0) because in the ratOs ,cfg has the value set to 2200. I have put my settings in overide [extruder] #: toolboard_t0:PB13 # Remove ! in front of pin name to reverse the direction of extruder sensor_type: MAX31865 sensor_pin: toolboard_t0:PA4...

Update on the way to the configurator that stops pullup_resistor: 4700 from being emitted.

Does RatOS RC1 flashing delete bootloader?

Hi, I tried the 2.1 RC1 a little while ago with a Pi and my Octopus V1.1 board, whih worked fine. But now Im trying to get it to work with a normal Mainsail installation, and theres no way it shows up. Tried flashing the firmware with an sd card, but no luck. So my question is, do the RatOS flashing remove the bootloader so I have to flash a new bootloader onto the board?...

EBB 42 2 port hotend fan isn't working.

I have double checked this with a second fan but my hotend fan doesn't turn on. This seemed to have happened after I switch to 2.1

Making changes in RatOS 2.1 configurator?

First question. I have changed the sensor in Rapido 1 UHP from a 104GT-2 to a PT1000. I am guessing the easiest way to upgrade the settings in RatOS is to use the Setup Wizard in the Configurator and select the Rapido Pus UHF and then confirm set up? Obviously after doing this I will need to ruse the PID Calibrate Hotend Macro?...

struggling to see the difference between red and green, is green the latest version the code? more specifically i have put input shaping into the user overrides section and it seems that the changelog does not like it. to keep the IS settings, in the photo should i select ignore or overide?

Last RatOS.cfg issue

After updating to v2.1.0-RC1-273-gbc132c38, the stepper motor can't move for homing. I reverted back to the old RatOS.cfg and its working again. I went to see what changed and i think the addition of "Sense_resistor: 0.022" to X and Y steppers is the cause. I'm running TMC5160 with 48v on X & Y. I have attached two files. Ratos.new.cfg is the bad one and RatOS.cfg is the good one.
