How to style this parka
I purchased a parka, what colors will match with it and what kind of outfits? Will it work with casual tailoring with black leather boots?
leather boot maintenance
Hello my lovelies, I know there are some guides online on the topic, but I trust there's at least a few people here who know their shit regarding leather boots and how to take care of them.
I'm asking specifically for my OL Camion Boots, I bought them 1.5 years ago and I can see the leather could use some help. Can you recommend any maintenance routine for the upper leather?...
Looking for inspiration on how to pair this suit.
Hello!
Hope you all are doing well. I was wondering if any of you all can help me with some inspiration on what type/color shirt to wear with the following suit. I bought both the pants and the blazer. I currently have black loafers and a black belt but I feel like it's too binary (B/W) of I wear a white shirt. Not sure if I'm overthinking this. I have a white shirt.

Looking for boots of this style/silhouette
Hello, I'm looking for different boots that have this type of look to it. I'm in the US, and looking to spend no more than $300, but if you know a good pair I'd still like to hear it. Looking to stay away from boots in the thousands though I wouldn't even dream of that lol.
For a grad school cocktail attire function. Weakening on the pocket square. Thoughts?
I know the pictures terrible.
Looking for wool coat/overcoat options (plus blundstone question)
Hey everyone, coming into winter I’m looking to pick up a quality wool/tweed overcoat. I tried on the coat below and really really liked it, priced at $480 cdn. I had all intentions of buying it however I misremembered the material and the shell is 70% poly, 25% nylon and only 5% wool. The inner liner is 100% synthetic but I think that’s passable. I am specifically looking for higher wool content from a quality perspective and have a hard time justifying $500 for a coat that is only 5%.
1. The brand is Matinique if that matters, does this material blend/brand help justify the price. Is that normal?
2. Any similar tweed/wool coats that may be of a higher quality, more wool content/warmer and around a similar price point? I can go up 100-250 or so if it makes a huge difference but I’d rather not go any higher than that at least for this winter....
parka as business casual?
canadian winters can be cold - looking for a parka or something in that tier of warmth that also looks good in business casual settings - i don't wear blazers at my office, but certainly wear OCBDs or sweaters and chinos - i'm assuming a minimalist parka without noticeable branding will work?
Casual everyday shoes
Hello,
I a 40 year old male struggle to find shoes for regular every day wear.
If I am going to an upscale social event, dress shoes make sense.
If I am active/exercising runners make sense....
Need brand recommendations
Any brands that sell these kind of jackets at mid - tier price point other than COS, Arket, Asket? This is where I've been getting most of my stuff from recently, but I'm trying to start leaning more into workwear/streetwear style. Looking for a more relaxed fit aswell. I usually stick to khaki, dark green, grey, black, denim colors. I know there's Carharrt WIP, Levi's, Vans etc. Anything else? Less mainstream brands and European brands highly welcome
What about Vinted? Do you guys buy outerwear from there?
sorry i don't know shit about fashion...
Fit check on pair of pants
Got this pair of pants from TS. Waist measurement feels good, length needs to be hemmed, but trying to decide on top block fit. I've heard the pocket lip is not supposed to bubble up like in the 3rd pic, but not sure if they'll settle over time or if they just currently look too tight around the thighs and always will.
OCBD too big to tailor?
I’m at the end of a cut and most of my clothes are running big. It’s been difficult to gage sizing for new purchases without going to slim fits. Is this something I can fix with alterations + putting on a few pounds or am I better off returning and looking for smaller/slimmer fits ?
Style vs Fashion
Hi all,
Been observing for a while, contributing a smidge and reading obsessively for about a month now. I never really distinguished carefully between the two terms (style, fashion) until I saw a breakdown a couple days ago. Actual definitions are all over the place so this is not about "which definition is right" but it got me thinking more clearly about my goals and how I relate to clothing.
What I'm coming to realize is I perhaps have low aspirations. I want to dress nice and "put together." I could not care less about trends. Several current trends I simply don't like and I am not really motivated to "get into". I guess clothing choices are inherently a form of self-expression, but I don't necessarily feel I need it to be a "core" way for me to express myself. I am quite fine looking like a generic 40s worker bee (which I suppose is itself an expression?) if I can look like one who is dressed reasonably well - at least as I define it.

Are there any sunglasses that go over your glasses and don't look completely stupid?
I know everyone just says get prescription sunglasses but I've never seen or had a pair that was actually useable while driving and didn't produce intense headaches. (That's always a thing for me switching frames, even with the same prescription - if the lenses aren't EXACTLY the same it's quite painful.)
Budget shopping
Trying to find some sites or stores to go to for clothes under 50 bucks. Doesnt have to be a whole outfit mainly looking for pants. Style im going for is minimalistic, streetwear, and just comfy.
Need formal/semi formal shoe advice
Hi everyone!
Planning a wardrobe overhaul after not buying many stuff for years.
I have recently ordered my first suit (3pc) - getting it stitched from this fabric, a shade of gray - I don't have any normal/formal shoes to go along. I just have a pair of new balance running shoes lol
Are black or tan shoes recommended for this? And should it be an oxford or a derby? Any other suggestions? I'd love it if there's a bit more space at the toebox for comfort but I'm not sure if that's even possible....
Is this wool shirt too short on the arms?
I got this Polo Ralph Lauren wool shirt from a charity shop last month, and as you can see from the photos, it's a bit short on the arms but not too much, which means I can use it for a layering piece, but is it too short to use on its own, without anything on top? Does it really matter?
Looking for shoes & pants similar to this photo
Could someone help me with identifying the type of boots & pants in this photo? If you have any brand recommendations as well? Much appreciated, thanks
