Selvedge Jeans Fit
Hi everyone, looking for some advice on what brands I might want to look into for some mid quality Selvedge jeans.
My only pair of jeans right now are Bonobos but I LOVE the fit. It’s in their “Tailored” fit, and it is more slim than what I see a lot of guys in the sub wearing. https://bonobos.com/products/all-season-jeans?color=dark%20rinse&pant-waist=32&pant-length=30
I really liked the concept of Gustin, but the fits just don’t work for me. I got a pair of Slim Fits, and the rise was so low that I could hardly bend over without the pants coming off my waist. ...
Fit of Levis Workwear Jacket
How is the fit? Is it too wide or boxy for me? I really like it. But its wide. I am new to the more boxy look, so not sure were the „too wide“ lies.
Are the sleeves too long?

Wardrobe overhaul underway
Hi, hope this finds you well. I have overhauled my wardrobe(finally). It’s now a couple of relaxed fit t shirts, three jeans, sneakers ( white and grey Jordan 3s) and two jackets for fall. I wanted to ask about any pitfalls there might be to rebuilding my wardrobe such as buying too much at once etc
Warmest and kindest Regards

Finding inspiration....
I've gotten the impression from many of the regulars finding inspiration is an important piece, particularly when one is first learning. I wasn't really able to find any good explanations of what it meant or even just logistically the best way to do it. I am also someone who barely has a FB account and has generally tried to minimize his social media engagement.
I'm basically downloading random stuff I like from the web, Google images, etc. with limited organization. I did get Pinterest but I find it's interface clunky af. In some cases I have a starting piece to work off and I include that in search terms to guide things.
.....am I doing this right? ...
What Nikes are these?
I see these on a billboard on Santa Monica blvd in WEHO in LA. Love the colorway but don’t know the model (blazer mid?) or collab
Starter dress shoes
My brother wears dress sneakers and I am trying to change that.
He doesn't have much of a budget though and probably won't spend more than $200 on shoes. I recommended Meermin to him, but I also recognize they can be stiff and have a long break-in period depending on which model you get. (I speak from experience; I currently own four Meermin pairs.)
I understand that AE has gone way downhill in recent years. Aside from Meermin, are there any good dress shoe brands at a low price point?...
Legit Check: An Oni chino on ebay

On the tag it says Oni 727, but the Oni 727 I find from searching looks very different, and have button flys.
Thanks!...
cirque casual fits fit doctor thread
what’s up u guys. I’ve really been enjoying my more dressed up looks recently, and it feels very comfortable for me to put on like a pretty shirt and some black pleated trousers and feel good.
Of course something to be said for just wearing ur nice stuff to do normal stuff but sometimes I’m just kicking around or going for a neighborhood walk and want to feel cute and casual. It’s this kinda middle segment of the wardrobe, those real everyday things, that I’m struggling with. I have a lot of rlly classic pieces, fatigues, truckers, GATS, NB etc that I love but sometimes can feel uninspired or a little less me.

Crewneck or V-neck sweaters over button ups?
What do you think looks best over dress shirts and OCBDs? No tie
Fall cardigan/sweater/coat recs
So it's my first Fall putting some thought into the way I dress, so I'm looking for some recommendations for items I can layer with. Specifically:
1. A good brand for cardigans and/or sweaters. I don't really have any mid-layer items like this. I was looking at these, but open to suggestions (ideally in the $50-$100 range): https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E469402-000/00?colorDisplayCode=07&sizeDisplayCode=004. Additionally, what are some good colors to go for? Gray, brown, beige, olive kind of thing? Again my wardrobe is pretty empty regarding these items so I'd like to get some versatile staples before venturing into more out there styles.
2. Essentially same questions as above but for bigger overcoats. I don't really have any of these......
Styling feedback: t-shirt, denim jacket, coat, denim trousers
So I decided to try and replicate an image as best I could again, this time an image from Popeye. I liked this outfit and I tried to see if I could replicate it with what I've got.
What works here and what doesn't?...
I saw a second hand Schott jacket for sale online I liked but I'm worried about something odd.
I just saw this cool second hand schott jacket online but I noticed it had this sort of effect on the arms, is that something to worry about or is it normal for a used jacket? It looked a bit strange to me. Am I overreacting?
Secondhand Penny Loafers brands/things to look for
Hey everyone,
I'm looking to buy some secondhand penny loafers in either black or dark brown. I've searched through some Q and A posts on here previously to try and get a sense of some brands I can look for and some tips, but I wanted to get direct advice/feedback:
1. Looking for around $150 USD and below, this is somewhat flexible.
2. I'm in NYC so I have access to tri-state area brick and mortar stores, however I was primarily going to search on Ebay. (open to Depop/Grailed etc.)...
Wool car coat in grey - recommendations please! Budget is open, but like to spend around 200-300
Wanting to add a car coat. Could use something grey in my wardrobe. A lot of what I'm finding are wool blends 60/40 even at the higher end. London Fog keeps coming up as a look that suits what I'm wanting. What do you guys think?
entire studios crewneck
I got this sweatshirt, I almost like the fit but am not totally convinced about the crop, especially in back
Abercrombie baggy jeans thigh measurements
Hello, if anyone has the a pair of baggy jeans from Abercrombie and Fitch could you please measure the thigh preferably size 34-36 but any size helps in getting an general idea of sizing.
Thanks in advance!...
overcoats: size up or true size?
im in the market for overcoats, and while i dont know my regular size in them, i learned that i could just grab one of my suit jackets and look at their sizing (36R).
given that i plan to wear sweaters and other layers underneath the overcoat, should i size up to make room (38R)? but i also read online that overcoats already account for this by measuring more than the tagged size:
The label size of an overcoat should correspond to the size of your chest, just like a suit coat would. So if you have a 42 inch chest, you wear a size 42 jacket and a size 42 overcoat. Generally speaking, the chest of an overcoat will measure about four inches more than its tagged size – so a size 42 will be about 46", giving you room for your suit or sport coat underneath....
Starter casual penny loafers under $400
I’ve been looking to get a pair of casual rubber sole loafers. I bought a pair of Paraboot Reims on sale a while back and am starting to realize they aren’t for me, mostly with the fit being too wide. I’m thinking I want to move in the direction of something still casual, but less chunky than the Paraboot. I mostly regret taking the plunge on them when I should have eased myself into loafers considering I have had issues with finding the right fit in the past. I usually wear things I can try in person like Blundstones, Birkenstocks, Red Wings, or most sneakers.
I was looking at brands like Morjas, but I’ve seen some conflicting opinions online - it looks like their leather either used to be, or is still bad, correct me if I’m wrong. I was also looking at brands like Meermin if going cheaper makes more sense too. I’m normally open to used options, but being able to return them if they don’t fit is probably the reasonable option for me. Again, I’m pretty new to loafers and am fairly inexperienced, so I’m sorry if this is a relatively vague question. I live in MN, so no suede....
What’s this exact shirt?
I’m 17 male, slim build and wanna dress like this, with this vibe. Having the shirt in the image would be sickkk. It’s extremely hard to find the same shirt, I think it’s a flannel…
