I got this sweatshirt, I almost like the fit but am not totally convinced about the crop, especially in back

Look like it fits as intended, the crop's kinda the point of those sweatshirts i think

ya it looks good and i think it'll settle a bit as you wear it
I think you just gotta shop your closet for combos with different cuts and styles of pants, i find boxy cropped stuff like this will look odd if the proportions of the whole fit are off. Having said that I think this outfit looks good!
