Websites to avoid

Hello folks, I would like to put together a list of websites to block because they are either scams or terrible quality. Websites I've already blocked are Temu, Shein, Wallmart, incerunmen... (I would do amazon but I need that for other not clothing related things). Please if you have any recommended black listed sites, post below. Thanks ❤️...

Ivory or White Polo Ralph-Lauren Cable-Knit Sweater?

Hi all! My friend is going to gift me a PRL cable-knit sweater for Christmas (either white or ivory) and I was wondering which colour would better suit me! I like wearing deeper blue, black or charcoal pants (chinos, jeans), suede chelsea boots (brown or black) and white sneakers, darker coats and denim/leather jackets etc. and love the winter palette in general!...

I need brand recommendations

Looking for brands that can give me the John Mayer style I really love and I need hat brands that aren’t Stetson cause I can’t be spending 700 dollars on a hat.

What’s up with normal people wearing MossyOak and Realtree camouflage?

I’ve been noticing people that I don’t see hunting actually wearing these camouflages.

How do you style more oversized outfits?

I've got a bit of millenial-itis and generally dress with more fitted clothing (e.g. with pants, I can grab an inch of fabric around the thigh). 1. For pants. is it still a fitted waist but looser cut, or do you get a larger waist and wear a belt. What about the length? 2. For shirts, do you get a larger size, or items that are specifically boxy fit?
3. What types of proportions are you looking at? E.g. cropped shirt, but boxy? 4. What types of outerwear do you like? What length?...

hey remember the miso soup on my pants? there’s more (shoes)

ik it’s not the most obvious from afar, but i know it’s there and it’s gross and aside from changing out the dirty lace, i have…no idea how to clean the canvas best. i don’t think the corduroy or the stripe got anything, it’s just the toe....

Replacement for Stan Smiths

After 7 years of faithful service, the sole of my trusty Stan Smiths has finally cracked. While I could get them resoled, it would cost more than the shoe is worth. I figure I should take this opportunities to branch out. I’m looking for recommendations for a slightly chunkier white sneaker. Want something that ...

Experienced fit-thrower seeking advice & inspo for updating my personal style

TL;DR: Show me some modern minimalist workwear inspo I've developed a personal style over the past 10 years that is harmonious and something I am proud of. It's mostly grounded in western and workwear. Recent changes to my body type (good, healthy changes) have caused a lot of things in my wardrobe to no longer fit. Rather than just quickly replace everything with larger sizes of what I already know I like and wear, I'd like to take this as a chance to ditch what's not working and slowly update some things to be more expressive of who I am today. This is less of an overhaul and more of an update. I'll attach more photos of recent fits that I like, so you can get an idea of where I’m at....

Fit check for a fashion noob

Hi guys. I recently started getting more into fashion and caring a bit more about how I look and today received my first haul from UNIQLO 👀 I think the sweaters fit okay but I was wondering what you guys think about the pants and parka. The parka's sleeves felt a little too long but they can be tightened at the wrist which I think helps. In the photos the pants already have 1 fold at the hem since they were clearly too long. Also sorry that the lighting is crap, I think it should be OK to check the fit. edit: Since posting I've already realized 2 things...

How comfortable should dress shoes feel?

As someone who’s really into sneakers, I’m struggling to figure out how comfortable dress shoes are supposed to feel. I recently got a pair of chunky derbies, but the thick soles make them feel nothing like sneakers—they're heavy, almost like carrying an extra kilo on each foot. It feels like I’m standing on something stiff the entire time. I also have a pair of loafers, which are a bit more comfortable since they’re lighter. However, they only feel good when I’m walking on smooth, nice floors. If I wear them to grab coffee or walk on pavements, I can feel every little stone underfoot, and that gets uncomfortable pretty quickly. But overall, they’re manageable....

High Instep Shoes / Boots / Loafers Etc.

It's surprisingly hard to find info on this issue, so I thought I'd ask my fellow high insteppers here. Are there any brands you've found accommodating on the instep front? For instep and sometimes width reasons I usually size up a half-size — and even that often doesn't add enough height to make for a good fit. I've seen folks talk about sizing up and adding orthotics, but worry that going up a full size would have consequences for length and maybe width, causing fits issues and possibly clownish proportions (though maybe I could get use to that). I'd be interested in hearing folks' experiences doing that. I'm desperate and open to any options, styles, etc. Boots, loafers, sneakers, slippers... In terms of the quality and cost tradeoff, I'd prefer to get something stylish that will last for a long time, so let's say in the $100 - $500 range. ...

Selvedge Jeans Fit

Hi everyone, looking for some advice on what brands I might want to look into for some mid quality Selvedge jeans. My only pair of jeans right now are Bonobos but I LOVE the fit. It’s in their “Tailored” fit, and it is more slim than what I see a lot of guys in the sub wearing. https://bonobos.com/products/all-season-jeans?color=dark%20rinse&pant-waist=32&pant-length=30 I really liked the concept of Gustin, but the fits just don’t work for me. I got a pair of Slim Fits, and the rise was so low that I could hardly bend over without the pants coming off my waist. ...

Fit of Levis Workwear Jacket

How is the fit? Is it too wide or boxy for me? I really like it. But its wide. I am new to the more boxy look, so not sure were the „too wide“ lies. Are the sleeves too long? ...
