Websites to avoid
Hello folks, I would like to put together a list of websites to block because they are either scams or terrible quality. Websites I've already blocked are Temu, Shein, Wallmart, incerunmen... (I would do amazon but I need that for other not clothing related things).
Please if you have any recommended black listed sites, post below. Thanks ❤️

saw you initiall yposted about aliexpress
unfortunately aliexpress is kind of like amazon but bigger in that there's actually good shit on there and its REALLY hard to tell what it is
same w taobao
there are actual startup/smaller brands who sell through these sites (e.g. SAUCEZHAN) but youre unlikely to find them by accident
i think generally if you have the mindset that quality does cost a bit more, you won't run into the problem. because a lot of those sites are just trying to get the best deal sites. like theyre mostly reputable but you get what you pay for.
my problem isn't that i will fall for the scam, its that it is taking up my search results and making it take longer and longer to find real results. A user recommend ublock origin to block all these sites so they don't show up in my search results and its been a blessing
@fᵤzz I highly recommend it if you havn't done so, or google has tried to force feed you
especially if i'm trying to do an image search
Hell half the stuff on amazon comes from AliX
I appreciate the effort, but it might be more worth your time to identify trustworthy vendors/stockists and just keep up with them.
I'd probably just use critical thinking skills rather than making a long ever growing list tbh
Seems like a pointless task
especially given the frequency of scam or dropshipping websites being generated
imo the red flags are often apparent (broken or incomplete page links, no or little social media presence, generic brand copy in their "about" page)
also 'quality' is such a subjective measure especially when many sites are aggregators - you wouldn't block ssense or endclothing just because they sell bape (that is a hypothetical do not @ me)
Again it’s not about falling for the scam it’s about just filtering them out to make searching faster
The opportunity cost would be too high to be worth it is that I'm saying
it might be helpful to shop by brand vs item instead
can always ask here about brand recs for item [x] for cost [$y] in location [z]
then search brand site/ssense/2nd street/ebay/jpy etc.
was thinking bout copping some IDLT or Artie Master would it be alright if i sent a dm about taobao shopping?
i dont know about either of those brands sorry no
all g
may have some luck if you make a thread in qna here ab it tho
