Ivory or White Polo Ralph-Lauren Cable-Knit Sweater?
Hi all! My friend is going to gift me a PRL cable-knit sweater for Christmas (either white or ivory) and I was wondering which colour would better suit me!
I like wearing deeper blue, black or charcoal pants (chinos, jeans), suede chelsea boots (brown or black) and white sneakers, darker coats and denim/leather jackets etc. and love the winter palette in general!

its better
honest answer - it's more versatile, white can be more visually jarring/distracting
it's less severe/preppy/formal as well
looking at the ro32 entries, the white entries are more avant-garde fits where it works arguably better than ivory for what theyre trying to do
whereas the ivory/cream/beige pieces here would work 'worse' as pure white imo
