Selvedge Jeans Fit
Hi everyone, looking for some advice on what brands I might want to look into for some mid quality Selvedge jeans.
My only pair of jeans right now are Bonobos but I LOVE the fit. It’s in their “Tailored” fit, and it is more slim than what I see a lot of guys in the sub wearing. https://bonobos.com/products/all-season-jeans?color=dark%20rinse&pant-waist=32&pant-length=30
I really liked the concept of Gustin, but the fits just don’t work for me. I got a pair of Slim Fits, and the rise was so low that I could hardly bend over without the pants coming off my waist.
I was going to try Flint and Tinder next, but would love any suggestions on other brands.

naked and famous or nudie?
Best bang for your buck if you are in the US is honestly probably going to be a pair of Wrangler 13MWZ.
N&F or Nudie also good as Chopper said. Unbranded are another option, they are an N&F offshoot.
Personally I would avoid jeans with stretch, I have never had a pair of jeans with stretch in them that didn't develop holes in high wear areas
So do I just need to order these jeans sight unseen to try them on? Or let measurements guide me? I got burned with the whole “you can only return the jeans for store credit” thing with Gustin (should have done more research)
As much as it pains me to recommend, I think N&F/Unbranded can be purchased on Amazon in the US. Wranglers you should also be able to return them.
Best option is to find somewhere local to you that stocks these but obviously that depends on where you live. Wrangler should be easier to track down if you are in the US and not a major city?
the other option if you have a pair of jeans already that you the fit of (I think you said above that you do), is to measure them using the method shown here (I prefer to the flat waist measurement).

You can compare the measurements from the jeans you own to size charts of any jeans you look at online that you cannot try on.
