This is a unique low for the discord
What is your favorite piece from Uniqlo, esp. ones that are currently available
i always buy one or two oversized tees every season
from the U line
Like the U oversized airism tees a lot esp for warmer weather
bring back uniqlo undercover so i can get more t-shirts
just underwear for me
other companies do socks better these days
although the heattech ones are pretty nice, white socks for the winter are rare
i still wear some of their t shirts that came in the plastic bags. the supimas got holes in them
the supima shirts kinda suck imo
too thin
i liked them at first but agreed
bought like 10 in one go and i was set for a few years
now they’re too slim
Oh yeah the fit is bad too
i also missed out on the uniqlo lemaire oversized flannel. i think it was that line
I get all my undies and undershirts at Uniqlo, for all seasons (Airism, cotton, thermal). Their regular supima tees are a wardrobe staple for me. I also tried a pair of their jeans and was shocked at how good they are for only $50.
I liked the supima tees when they were $10 but now they're $25 so I wait for a sale. They've updated the fit now to be a little more oversized but still not as much as the Uniqlo U tees.
I like sizing up on uniqlo u tees
airism oversized just feels bad to the touch for me
A bit of trial and error there bc i also thought uniqlo us were not for me at my size
I quiet like the standard Uniqlo U T-shirt. The ticker neck is great and it is quiet thick in general which is great esp. in white

yep dry-ex tshirts are great for summer
When should we expect the AW/FW2023 drop?
https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E459592-000/00?colorDisplayCode=09&sizeDisplayCode=003
This utility blouson in black.
Also - the normal Uniqlo U t-shirts are pretty great. Can't do the oversized U shirts. Sleeves are too long for me.
UNIQLO
Utility Short Blouson | UNIQLO US
Corduroy collar and checked lining accents. Raglan sleeves for a relaxed fit.
i was at uniqlo the other day and that jacket is actually quite nice
i'd probably sooner try and get a barbour on ebay but the fabric felt pretty good and it's a good option if you don't want waxed
uniqlo
been checking weekly for this to go on sale
uniqlo light outerwear is surprisingly decent
UNIQLO
Single Collar Short Blouson | UNIQLO US
Simple design goes with any style. In a stunning sleek cut.
i tried this one on last year and waiting for it to restock
ugh can they bring back the U French Rib Pants 😦
I saw these cargos in the store and they were really sick
idk if anyone else has the j+ bomber from fw 21 but it's exceeded all my expectations and im glad fmf posted it lmao
I'm a fan and I grabbed it because I knew I'd probably miss out on a promo or sale price. The boxy fit and cropped length was exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately the Barbour Spey is unavailable and it has been absurdly expensive on eBay. I wish a Barbour Bedale had the same silhouette, but the length is too long for me. I did come across a company called Red Tornado on eBay that makes their own version in a lightweight waxed cotton but I have very little info on them.

the spey is expensive? that sucks
Tell me about it. I was in tears when I saw people selling it for $650 on ebay. I've been on the hunt for a cropped length boxy fit jacket with a corduroy collar.
Red Tornado are a Chinese brand that specialise in Americana. I've a few shirts from them and the quality is fantastic.
Could probably start a thread on actually decent AliX brands like them, Sauce Zhan etc
https://www.aliexpress.com/store/5786751?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.10.131830c2blJuT5 theres the Alix shop, might be cheaper direct
I've heard a lot about their denim. Please do start a thread if possible. How is the sizing for Red Tornado though? Is it fairly accurate? I might have to hop on that Spey Wax Jacket at some point.
red tornado has a spey jacket?

good shout
no bueno. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005254130503.htm
this brand gets a lot of hype on reddit.
ive never worn it before. i been to a store at a mall briefly. the clothes look fairly decent tho
They're not the best clothes ever made, but they do basics well, and importantly you tend to get consistent styling and good value for money.
Some of the collaboration stuff is fantastic, I'm still living in my White Mountaineering collab jacket every autumn https://www.instagram.com/p/CTvzMuyvTz5/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=6ea8b1d4-2f2b-4df2-853c-1d5de5003218
it does seem generally wise to start with basics that are affordable. if you find that youre wearing certain clothes a lot, you can always get higher end versions of that later on
Just don't buy complete crap
I love all their pieces, have been shopping there for over a decade hehe. Their collaborations are pretty great and I don’t find myself upgrading from those.
I think there are some new pieces which have recently been added
does anyone here have these trousers: https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E462197-000/00?colorDisplayCode=32&sizeDisplayCode=004 and if so how do you like them?
UNIQLO
Wide-Fit Pleated Pants | UNIQLO US
These versatile pants are comfortable yet elegant. In a sleek straight cut.
I had them when they were a Uniqlo U thing and while I liked the overall shape the inseam was real short. They've probably tweaked it a bit since then though.
I think it's up to 32 now depending on the size. Uniqlo should start offering more lengths
How are their Selvedge jeans? I was gonna grab two pairs since they do alterations and my legs are tiny little baby legs lol
I have a pair of their selvedge jeans, I think they're good especially at that price point. If you can get them hemmed to fit, even better.
With about 3 or 4 years of moderate use ↓
They are wearing through in places but even so they are pretty sturdy and haven't blown-out anywhere important
Hey, that’s better than my 4 pairs of Peter Manning jeans that blew out around my ass after less than a year
I’ll take it!
Unnecessary addition: buying jeans for short men is hard. Buying jeans for a short man with a fat ass is nigh impossible lol
the black pair is my favourite pair of pants. I love the fit on them. this is a size large. I normally wear 36waist
Thanks good to hear that. I might consider grabbing a pair as a sort of standard everyday trouser
these look great!
gosh darn their off-white supimas
tbf as much as i love off white as a colour, that's pretty bad if they're labelling it as white
although on the opposite end - i think i have an 'off white' ocbd from them which is, in fact, just white 🤷
Has anyone owned the Airism Mesh boxer briefs? They were discontinued a few years ago and I'm trying to find a replacement.
Regular Airism just ain't cutting it
yeah, those were awesome. I agree the replacements aren't quite as good.
Would you say it’s worth it? I want to get it but it looks a little pricy idk
Might wait until the fall (or would the price go up by then?)
If I get a chance I'll take some photos of the jacket and how it fits along with my own measurements so you can try to compare. It has been 90 degrees out and humid lately here in NYC, so I couldn't even say much. I personally jumped on it only because I fell in love with the length and fit. I don't normally buy Uniqlo jackets or coats at full price but this is the one time I made an exception.
Grabbed the parachute cargo pants in olive yesterday. https://www.uniqlo.com/ca/en/products/E460268-000?colorCode=COL56&sizeCode=SMA002
big fan of these pants but I'm waiting for a sale
for sure. how do you typically style them? or looking to style them?
I have some carhartt cargos that are a similar shape and I usually just try to keep the top half simple
ahh thank you! that was my goal too
id probably do a hoodie or sweater over the tee when it gets cold
yea in the market for some sweatshirts / hoodies too but for now it's too warm lol
speaking of pants tho, does anyone know if the U French Rib Pants will ever come back in stock? 😭
don’t think anyone would actually know, best to follow their socials. I wanted the houndstooth blouson when it first came out and it sold out quick, but restocked a year later
I basically need to buy a whole new wardrobe since i lost weight
What basics from uniqlo would you recommend
I think uniqlo makes good chinos for the price, everything else is meh
Hello. Are you me?
I literally just did this.
I haven't tried their chinos, but I like their tees and jeans. Also underwear.
I think "basics" depends on your style, to a degree.
Really depends on your body type and what you personally like. I used to be a sucker for the dry packaged t-shirts but they aren't what they used to be. The Uniqlo U tees (not the ones with the comically long sleeves) are really nice though. The cotton on the Uniqlo U tees is pretty substantial if you're into a thicker shirt. A lot of people like the button downs and flannels, but I haven't personally bought any since 2020.
The slim fit chinos are good if you are slender and don't have huge calves, but they offer some decent straight fit, "relaxed" fit, and wide fit jeans and chinos now. I'm probably going to buy a pair of the wide fit jeans within the week and get them hemmed to a 30 or 29 so I can show off some boots.
Anyone ever own their overcoats? This one seems to be a relatively classic fit and fabric sounds nice (lining is polyester tho): https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E459631-000/00?colorDisplayCode=09&sizeDisplayCode=003

Alsoo, not sure if this utility jacket on sale is a buy or too basic: https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E458182-000/00?colorDisplayCode=34&sizeDisplayCode=003
UNIQLO
Utility Jacket | UNIQLO US
Casual workwear-style jacket. An easy throw-on layer with a relaxed cut.
The U Utility Short Blouson is very, very good but I will likely only pick up on sale. I personally want the ones from the previous season because there are different pocket arrangements as well.
I’m tall and have a very long torso. I heard Uniqlo runs short
While I don’t mind sizing up to L or XL, it might be too wide
Are there any tallfriendly Uniqlo shirts
Uniqlo flannels are pretty bombproof for the price
Speaking as a lanklord
Yeah their flannels are awesome.
Disappointing that they seem to be leaning so heavy on slim fit chinos still. Fancy picking up a pair but buying in slim fit doesn’t seem very appealing right now
(Unless they’ve updated the fit at all…which is certainly possible)
yeah ah nice wide fitting chino would be great
Still waiting for the day they make true AIRism suits...and prolly a linen-blend rayon shirt
Does anyone know when the new U collection drops?
Seems like there's already some items appearing on their site
There's some new parachute pants at least
I'm waiting for the heattech. Basic, but gotta stay warm
Although, I think the official MFA recommendation is to wear 15 layers. 😁
Wish they would make a linen blazer to match their pants
I'm really late but dang those ozweegos are still so hard imo
appreciate it 🫡def my favourite sneaker I own
Even a restock on the regular fit would be nice...
The new Ines de Freseange Collab looks cool sadly only womens pieces. I hope there will be some good new collaborations soon

they really dgaf about mens collections at uniqlo
but this is hard
looks good, but yeah, mens collection has been lacking as of late
I want the uniqlo u jeans to go back in stock, really need a pair of the light blue ones
need new tshirts
which tshirts do people wear from UNIQLO?
i have some of the UNIQLO U white ones thatre more oversized but they are thick and are not cool enough for Atlanta heat
although the quality is nice
I always get the supimas
get the uniqlo u airism tees if you want something for the heat
Tbh some of my best items have been from Uniqlo womens section so don’t let it hold you back lol
do you have a link to these? ive never seen those at UNIQLO
should be the same as the “wide-fit pleated pants”

Oh shoot!! I have the WM fleece bomber and I may pickup this hooded one.
Those are some very cool names. I'm hoping for a pleated option. I was a bit dissapointed in the sizing of some U pieces. Do you know when the collectiondrops?
Fun that they got people from HAY there
Not sure but I'll look into it. Just got these new magazine posts in my email
not bad
but i think Muji has more what youre looking for? i feel like their wide is proper wide
those look like reg fit
but look nice
How's muji's quality control compared to Uniqlo?
imo muji is better materials and quality control than uniqlo
uniqlo quality is kinda sus these days
(still high tier for the price though)
agreed
I have been looking at Muji more honestly
Mujis online store sadly is a bit weird though
How are Uniqlo oxford shirts by the way?
I've some recent Muji stuff and it's really not great
I find muji is very hit and miss
My Uniqlo stuff so far seems to be of ok quality. Tho my jacket from them has a small hole under the collar from where they took the security tag off which I found annoying
i tried on the parachute cargos today and actually kinda fucked with them but im gonna wait for a sale
I'm waiting as well. everytime I've bought something from uniqlo full price, it's gone on deep sale a month later 😭
I grabbed those parachute pants in green. gonna keep the fit simple with white sneakers + white tee.
I picked up one of the few remaining pairs of regular fit chinos. I wasn’t finding stuff elsewhere that grabbed my attention, and for £10 it felt a bit silly not to. Will have to get hemmed though because they have a 34 inseam :’(
Which ones
roger federer by jw anderson sweater looks pretty nice: https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E465889-000/00?colorDisplayCode=08&sizeDisplayCode=003

thoughts on UNIQLO Cargo in green/olive?
can they be a substitute for green fatigues?
Uniqlo sells fatigues currently
UNIQLO
Utility Work Pants | UNIQLO US
Wide-fit pants with a workwear style. Made with casual broken twill.
these? looks like em, didnt see em before, then again didnt look in this section
Yeah those are what I meant
Did anyone tried their shoes ? It seems interesting
They just dropped a new collaboration with Roger Federer (??) and idk how to feel about it. The two-tone gray sweater might be nice tho
It's a bit boring
Anyone know how strict uniqlo are on alterations for online orders if I’ve removed the tags…? Need some chinos hemmed and realised I may be able to go to a store this week, but took the tags off as soon as they were delivered 😂
UK stores that is - their website implies that the tags need to be on them still 😦 https://faq-uk.uniqlo.com/pkb_Home?id=kA13z000000XldH&q=Alterations&l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1
UQ UK Customer Service FAQ
Do you offer alterations online?
I think you've answered your own question
Yeah I was hoping that someone may have had some experience with it though -e.g down to store discretion if I had the labels albeit unattached. It’s fine though - can go local I think 🙂
Worth a shot probably!
Gonna make a really basic order
Is Large big enough for 6’1” 190 lbs
in the oversized i think so but i'd maybe go xl in the other stuff? not an expert on this at all tho. L is probably fine i just worry about shrinkage
Honestly I found the L fit me pretty well and I'm 6 ft4 and about 230
cop or nah?
i posted up there with shittty pics but i actually liked them. the material is a bit swishy but not too loud. fit was nice.
stupid question, looking to get the Uniqlo Selvedge jeans but I will have to get them altered. Do people wear slighlty longer in length and then fold over the cuff or is that just personal preference?
Personal preference, do what you think looks good
but selvedge alterations at uniqlo are acceptable right?
As in, UNIQLO will alter their jeans for you in store?
as in, they do a good job of altering selvedge? I know they are pretty decent with other jeans.
Sorry, I can't personally speak to it. I can't imagine they would do a bad job of it
this might be a silly question but is there any major size variance between the uniqlo sublines and regular uniqlo? looking at those work pants someone posted the other day but the only pants I've bought from them were uniqlo x jw anderson
that's fair, thank you 🙂
Is there any way to obtain some tees from the Hiroshi Nagai collab?
akihiko voice i've been waiting for this
Yah I copped them along with a white supima tee (unironically need white tees) and a gray oversized pocket half sleeve shirt
question on the supima tees and selvedge jeans, do they go on sale often?
Most the things i want are sold out lol
Is this what they do to add perceived value to the brand
i don't think so. there are so many things i've bought from them at full price because i thought they'd sell out, but they end up going on DEEEEP discount instead
No, things sell out fast online but they do restock. You could also check out stores if you’re near one.
unless it's a hyped up collab like the engineered garments fleeces
Tried on the parachute cargoes, they are very nice. Belt loops have a bar tack stitch inside all of them and i’ve never seen that before
EG didn’t sell out in stores in my area
@e30ultra how are those fleeces? They look really cool
you are so lucky
I think I definitely want the cardigan jacket from that collab
good fleeces, can only get them second hand at bad prices lol
I LOVE mine
i have the olive zip up
probably the best collab fleece uniqlo has done, all colors are great and olive especially
What's a fair price for an olive fleece or the cardigan jacket on eBay?
tbh i paid like $60 or $70 CAD for mine and I think that is the most fair price for the quality
at the prices they're going for, I would recommend just getting secondhand patagonia or something
$60-70 is definitely a fair price, that may be close to the retail price. $100+ is probably the average price i see online and i don’t think it’s worth it unless you really want it.

$100 minimum is hard to meet when theyre sold out of what you eant.
Ill order from abercrombie for now and check back with uniqlo in like 2 weeks
I see $60 online for the olive fleece
Maybe not in everyone's size tho
seeing the olive fleece in stock for all sizes up here in Canada
https://www.uniqlo.com/ca/en/products/E463164-000?colorCode=COL31&sizeCode=SMA001
looking for fleece, i found this piece. this looks super comfy
abercrombie has extra 15% off in cart
anyone know if the shawl collar jacket is oversized?
trying to figure out if I get S or XS
Chest
20 in
50.8 cm
Length
27 in
68.6 cm
Shoulders
19 in
48.3 cm
Sleeve Length
23.5 in
59.7 cm
Hem
20 in
50.8 cm
sorry for the spam but I'm too dumb to figure out if these are oversized measurements for an XS
Those look wonky. 27in shoulder is like.. xxxxl.
that's odd
thank you tho
this doesn't look oversized but he's wearing it over a sweater
I think that’s saying shoulders are 19 in?
yeah which tracks with a size 38 jacket right?
oh yeah sorry for the poor formatting
ok i'm seeing on an old mfa post that it's oversized, going to get the XS
What's everyone's favourite way of styling the parachute pants? struggling in deciding the tshirt or tshirt/jacket combo
Picked up the fleece cardigan jacket new with tags for $76 (+$8 shipping)
small shirt big pants is a tried and true combo
right that's what i was leaning towards 🫡
Picked up some of Uniqlo's selvedge jeans which I am sure are sanforised - do i need to soak them?
Is it possible for someone who wears 36 usually to wear Uniqlo's 34 ? (given their product waist is 36), this size chart is from Uniqlo's stretch selvedge slim fit jeans black https://www.uniqlo.com/in/en/products/E447649-000?colorCode=COL09&sizeCode=INS034
Your 36s might not actually be 36. Best to measure a similar-fitting pair to be sure.
yea, I did measure one, the width was 18, double would be 36,
There could also be variations based on the cut of the trousers and how high they are worn
nope
Thank you
Struggled a bit with pants sizing when I hit up Uniqlo the other day. Some go s-m-l instead of by number, and the smalls were too short for me, and the mediums too big a waist! Those seem like two of the few problems you can't alter away.
Really love their tops, but I just cannot get their pants to work for me.
You can alter the waist but it'll cost you
it cost me $28 when I did it this summer. if the pants are on heavy sale and they are the type of pants where the waist can be taken in, it may be worth it
uniqlo themselves altered the tops for you? Or did you mean pants
@.brownie. no a tailor at a dry cleaner took in the waist on my pants. They were 100% cotton chinos from j crew that I got on sale. The waist needed to be taken in an inch
Uniqlo itself does do hemming from what I remember (it's either free or $5 if the pants cost below a certain amount)
yes they do
that makes sense
What would you say is the best and most versatile Uniqlo scarf and beanie (type and colors)?
I was thinking of getting these two
Olive beanie is definitely very versatile with earth tone outfits. can’t give an opinion on tartan as i’m very bad at styling with them
the uniqlo work pants that are like fatigues, i like the deep olive color on em
feel nice for $50
this is Medium size, i wear 31-32 size and these feel nice and stretchy
nice!
i wonder when Uniqlo U FW is going to be launched...
hopefully in the fall or winter
TIL: uniqlo has a more fast fashion brand??
how tall are you? im a similar size so just wondering
5’11
I'm surprised it hasn't even been teased yet. Lookbooks had already been previewed at this point in earlier years.
There have been teasers in some articles
How do the merino wool sweaters fair
the online reviews are sortve meh, prob best to go with a higher tier brand for wool sweaters
They're very good for $30-40 merino sweaters
for fine merino wool, john smedley outlet has a lot of sales where they have stuff for $45 (not incl. shipping from the UK). I would imagine those would be a lot nicer than uniqlo (planning on getting one when there's a color I want). for shetland sweaters, you could get one that could last your whole life for $85-95 or you could buy one used for $30
Saw the Balmacaan in person today; nice roomy fit and if synthetics aren’t a problem for you, I think it’s a good first big coat pickup
https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1137776363982569584/1152577766940737627
How do you all feel about this cooperation
A little gimmicky but Uniqlo has done the Hokusai UT thing forever
I wouldn't get one with too well known artwork on it as it's sortve like unironically wearing a shirt with the Mona Lisa on it lol
I think it could work if you make Hokusai the whole thing and go over the top, or if you put it in as a detail, but this framed painting type is kind of dull to me personally.
But uh I have a few Uniqlo anime collabs that perhaps are lamer, some Christmas presents tho
I don't hate the first one but I really dislike designs like the others where there's kind of a clear "square" that's the design, if you know what I mean
lol I was just about to write "I think femto and I are on the same page"
I really liked when they did the pocket tees with a design just on the pocket. I have one with an embroidered Spider-Man on the pocket with his camera which I get a lot of compliments on
Sometimes squares work just not usually, perhaps?
But mmmm pocket embroidery
how far does it go down? knees or thighs?
i like the coat
might have to pick it up going to Japan in a month
either there or online i guess
which collab is this? JW Anderson?
I think it's just mainline?
ohhh gotcha
U lookbook just dropped:

finally
omg omg
kneejerk reaction: women continue to win uniqlo (that dark coat in the first picture looks great)
what exactly does "padded" mean in the context of those coats? are they saying they have a lining or something different?
if you have the frame for it, just get the women's item
you might need to size up but itll probably work out
haha yeah I extremely doubt that I will fit, I'm just aware of how often that advice comes up
eh looking at it now and there's not much i need/want. i already have the parachute cargos
lol I was thinking this changed my mind about the parachute cargos
now I kinda want them
they are great, really summer weight clothing
only downside is they swish when you walk indoors without shoes lol
their two overshirts look interesting tho I already have the uniqlo x eg fleece cardigan jacket
I assume the cargos here are a different material for f/w
The summer ones are pretty lightweight
the padded single breasted coat looks pretty good
im liking it tied up like how it's styled on the female model more than open on the male model
How are Uniqlo's sweatshirts compared to j crew's French terry ones?
was kind of wondering this myself, that turtleneck looks interesting
The non U cotton turtle neck shirt didn't rlly impress me when I looked at it in person
think im interested in one of the low gauge lambswool jumpers
and maybe one the jeans/jersey pants
The chinos and the lambswool knitware look kinda cool
tbh the last thing i actually need at the moment are more jeans/pants so i may skip out on that for this season. their straight fit U jeans from previous seasons come up pretty large on me so i think i'm set
i quite like this season's offering though
Same, the knits/over shirts are the standouts for me
On the women’s side the denim shirt jacket looks like it will fit more unisex and looks nice
Anyone have experience with the women’s pants at Uniqlo? I watched a vid of someone with the corduroy wide fit pleated pants and really liked the look, but apparently it’s a women’s only product over here in the US. Is it just a matter of sizing up or should I expect a vastly different silhouette?
ooo is it me or none of the products have a link?
Don’t think the store pages have gone live yet - IIRC that’ll usually happen a bit closer to launch.
ah thank you, new to all this 🙂
whoowee that collection is gas
Colors are so so boring. But I like the sweat turtle neck, low gauge sweater, and overshirts.

They publish rates it's not hard to do the math yourself
https://buyee.jp/help/yahoo/guide/fees?lang=en for example
There will be a little bit of variation but not enough to really worry about I think
Anyone have thoughts on quality control at uniqlo? Bought these cargo joggers over the weekend. Kneeled on the concrete just now and tore them up
I mean I shouldn't have done it but I feel like this also shouldn't have happened
Doesn’t really seem like a quality control issue you just rubbed fabric against an abrasive surface
Does anyone have this drawstring bag and can comment on large it is? I've got some long items I have in mind
it can fit some bananas, yeah
thanks, that looks perfect
Yes I have this one. It’s like a large tote bag
Wow, I would not have guessed it was that large from the stock photo
The sizing on the Uniqlo U trousers is a bit odd it goes from 28 to 35 but in 1 inch increments
How fast does one generally have to be when buying uniqlo U clothing?
i mean the parachute cargos are still in stock after like 3 wks right?
they've been out for months as far as i know but they also delisted them in canada
re-listed them as coming soon
things do sell out esp certain pieces but definitely not instantly, and they tend to get restocks
i was hoping they'd do a material change for f/w but it looks like they're 66% Cotton, 34% Nylon, which i thinkw as the same in the s/s cargos
I quiet like the look of these two pieces
what time of year do you think the next big sale will be.
Black Friday is probably the next big one, but a "big" Uniqlo sale isn't very big these days. If you're lucky, the $25 Supima tees will be $20.
On the uk store if you click on them in the lookbook it just sends you to the og listing where they’re still up, so seems like it’s exactly the same which is a shame
Ya same in Canada. Same listing only it’s “coming soon” now.
@jacobshamsian I noticed they have items heavily on sale when there's only like 1 size left
Yeah I sometimes have gotten stuff at over 50% off. It tends to be mostly xs left from my expirience though
Are you all thinking about getting some stuff from the new U collection?
I’m looking forward to checking out the jersey pants, and want to try on the lambswool Crewneck to see if it’s what I’ve been looking for (I’ve been deciding between that and a similar product from L.L. Bean)
I am tempted by Big Pants
likewise, my eye is on that jersey pants
do I get a uniqlo big coat
^ this is where I'm at
i will go and get a uniqlo big coat
I bought tue uniqlo x white mountaineering big coat a few years ago and it's maybe the best value for the money thing I own
Regret not getting that one tbh
i got my brother one of their fleeces and he wears it all the time
I wanna get this sooo bad. But I live in Florida
move then !
Is this limited edition
I should get it and then wear it when I move
I have ordered some Wide Boys from Uniqlo
if i didn't already have a pair of WIDES that I need to wear far more of, then I'd definitely have gone for them
i like the collection as a whole, i just can't really justify anything in particular at the moment haha
They seemed to have just sneakily released a checkered brown balmacaan. I have the original brown one but the check is real nice
which one?
which ones?
What makes you like this piece so much? I'm eyeing it as well as their Overshirt, but can't bring myself to find anything unique about it though it looks clean
dunno a nice one?
the relaxed fit chinos
went to uniqlo, didnt get a big coat. got a white tee
Do y'all think this houndstooth pattern will be pretty easy to style?
i have this, incredibly easy to style, little effort involved
https://www.uniqlo.com/de/de/product/kurzes-worker-blouson-459592.html?dwvar_459592_color=COL57&dwvar_459592_size=SMA004 absolutely in love with uniqlo's barbour inspired jacket!

Is it their utility blouson?
I think its their workers blouson?
Basically this one as shown above in the thread? If so, I'm curious to know as to what makes it so compelling and which color to get considering the fact I own their green bomber jacket
I have this one in black, I find it more versatile because I have khaki pants
utility short blouson, follows the U utility short blouson from a couple seasons ago with different color and same color liner. great cut, it is not a bomber
Indeed. I mentioned the MA-1 to probably avoid having green suggested to me and get these 2 styles with the same color unless it is much better than brown and black
oh for sure, i think brown is prob the best followed closely by brown. the previous iteration of green was more olive/brown than forest and is the one i really want
I tried it on briefly awhile ago and I actually didn't like it. The sleeves have this like polyester lining
was it scratchy or something?
So Brown > Black > Olive?
personal preference, whoops i meant i like brown the most, then black (typo) then green
Thank you for the output
For me it's the brown or the green one, the black isn't distinctive enough for me. I like that it pays homage to barbour, yet isn't as heavy as the OG barbour jackets.
I've got the black one in my wishlist. waiting for the inevitable price drop
no but it felt plasticky like rubber sortve
You mean a 10$ discount at most
Or the purge of their current model to release the new one
maybe it's just a canada thing, but everything goes on sale here. I was able to get a bunch of the J+ collection for 60% off and the Uniqlo U stuff usually gets anywhere from 20-50% off sales a few months after release
Has to be it. Never seen something as major as this over there
same! already saw it pop up on Vinted for 45€
silly question about the Uniqlo U FW2023 drop, does the U collection typically sell out very quick OR how it work? also it's not available online?
it will be available online
thanks, really wanted to avoid crowds. have a few pieces I really wanted to snag but they got sold out quick in the UK
Has anyone bought the Balmacaan coat?
How is it, worth the price?
went into a physical uniqlo store for the first time in aaages yesterday - i picked up more coloured socks hah
did find their layout to be incredibly confusing though
the layout is very confusing lol. some products are in multiple sections and others are just..all over the place
I wanted to check out the U collection in person, but honestly, after walking around for 10 mins trying to find socks (!) and then trying to find the U t-shirts - which happened to be the other side of the store from the main U collection...I just wanted out lol
I find their stores kinda uncomfortable to use tbh
thoughts on the 3d light parka
Wide boy chinos arrived yesterday, I love them. High waist and just the right length, Will probably run a bit long on people who aren't built like storks as I am
what's the fabric like? is it light or heavy twill?
perhaps a little heavier than their regular chinos
How tall are you?
I don’t like Uniqlo for anything other than basics and their cross body bag but I recently saw a blouson that seemed decent
UNIQLO
Single Collar Short Blouson (Houndstooth) | UNIQLO US
Simple design goes with any style. In a stunning sleek cut.
Still has a bit of the Uniqlo problem of it being too simple/1 dimensional but could work ok if you can match it well
6'3"
I have long-ass legs also
damn i;m 5'7" and i really wanted those new Chinos
no way those are gonna fit me if theyre perfect for you
It says the U collection will go up online “mid-morning”… when has that been historically?
not sure historically but i assume it's like 9-10 to align with when uniqlo stores in malls open or something
just roll/hem them
uniqlo offers hemming on most, if not all their pants both in-store and online. been a few years but i got chain stitching done on a pair of jeans i bought online for like $5 if i remember correctly.
U is live for those who partake
My local store opens at 11 so I will wait to go directly there to try stuff on… I just hope that they stock everything I am wanting since I know the selections are limited in the non-flagship stores 🤞
The polar overshirt looks nice
Wonder if I have to wait for feedback before buying it
gonna drop by after work to the local store to check it out
I went to the store just now, I ended up picking the fleece jersey pants and the lambwool sweater. The sweater felt perfect, exactly what I was looking for and fit great. I got it a medium (for reference, I’m 5’10, 160 lbs). Wasn’t super enthused about the jersey pants at first (they looked a lot more like sweatpants when I tried them in medium) but when I tried them in a small (and swapped the gray for brown) they fit perfectly. My only worry is how the fabric will shrink on washing because it fits so well that any small change might throw off the look significantly. I’ll give it some thought and see if I need to swap for the medium. The fleece jersey Overshirt looked and felt great and I nearly bought it, but ultimately decided against it because thinking to my personal style I think I’d use it less frequently. I’d still recommend it though (they are oversized but look great layered). And finally, my girlfriend wanted one of the new puffers, but they only had it in natural color in the store and she wanted black. I think the sizing differences are pretty minimal; the only difference I could really notice was a slight variation in overall length, but both are somewhat cropped and boxy
Care to give us your output pretty please?
absolutely. really interested in the lambswool sweater and jersey pants (non-fleece version)
I gave up on anything wool related with Uniqlo
Mine shrank from M to S and was unwearable
really?
Unless it was already S and turned into XS 💀
Yeah, even their Oversized T I simply love did shrink a bit, but only once and it's still an excellent fit
But wool is so much worse across all brands as a material prone to shrinking
interesting. I've been pretty lucky so far with the oversize T, didnt shrink on me
I always handwash mine and never had any issues with shrunken knitwear. If you have a very up to date washing machine the wool programs have also gotten much better over the years; you should try it first with a woolen sweater that isn't perhaps your favourite though.
ya i handwash my knit tee from last fw and it hasnt shrunk at all
which is good because i got an m instead of a L
Mine's gotta be one decade old. It never crossed my mine that wool programs could have been a thing
It would most likely be delicate and hang dry
instead of letting it hang dry you should also lie them down; otherwise the woolen sweater can get deformed.
Duely noted
Would you see yourself wear the fleece jersey as the top layer only for indoors purposes during a cold winter?
No, I could see it being a top layer outdoors piece, it was surprisingly warm (in fact, warm enough that trying it on in the fitting room with AC I was starting to get a bit toasty). But I do run hot typically
think i’ll cop this ty for the alert
okay just got back after dinner. the selection at my uniqlo was decent with a few pieces missing. Some pieces that stood out for me
* the brushed jersey (non-fleece) pants. Picked one up in brown.
* found the fleece version too thick for my liking.
* the lambswool sweater was actually quite nice. Picked one up in beige
* really digging the padded puffer jacket & the reversable stand jacket.
* personally I found there are better trench coats out there but the padded version is quite nice plus I prefer to layer myself.
* the turtle neck and jersey mock neck tshirts felt quite nice to touch. didn't try them on tho.
* there was no hoodie in my store 😦
* might grab the messenger bag later
I’d get this on sale
Is it just me or the wool was really itchy? This was for the crew neck and for the knit Overshirt.
I may ask this in the q&a later but i see more of an emphasis on proportions (e.g., the rule of thirds) but the broadcloth shirts in the U collection are long as so there’s going to be that 50/50 split unless the shirt is tucked. However, the flat hem makes it seem intended to be untucked. I guess I’d like to ask q&a thoughts on the idea of proportions and breaking the rule
All in all, i got the knit and may return it if it feels itchy. And the broadcloth but I’ll see if i like the fit and may return it too.
most Wool IS itchy
Yeah I usually try to wear long (t)-shirts underneath lambwool sweaters.
My nearest physical Uniqlo store is 3 hours away. Would you still be a regular customer if you didn’t have a store near you,
My nearest Uniqlo store is about 3 hours away as well and I'm not a regular customer
My nearest is in a different city but I still buy a fair bit online.
i buy most of my uniqlo in store, but all the u stuff other than the tees i buy online
Just got finished trying things on. For record I’m 5’11 ~165 lbs. tops went TTS M
- the lambs wool sweaters are really nice but I feel like it they left them a tad short on length. Kind of regret not ordering a L to compare. May try to see if I can try in store
- knitted overshirt is a keeper. Got in brown, fit is nice and drapes nicely
-chinos/jersey pants also both really nice, don’t know if I’m going to keep one or the other just yet
Overall some cool pieces in this collection
Gonna head over to the mall now, looking mostly at the overshirts but we'll see wussup
pretty sure the sweater is meant to have a little crop
Yeah based on the model photos who are also wearing M agree that’s what they’re going for
tbf, i did size up from my usual too (usually a small but picked up the sweater in a medium)
wanted a roomier fit
Good to know, gonna go after work today to see how I like sizing up
I picked up the jersey pants too but now I'm debating returning it - although they were super comfy
Same, not sure if they are too close to sweatpants that I’ll really be reaching for them..when I’ll just reach for my sweatpants haha
tbf I did want some straight leg sweatpants too haha. wish they were gray but i picked them up in brown
The knitted overshirt gives an indoors vibe thickness wise
The oversized-ness is really oversized this year IMO. I’m 5’9”, like 190, and almost everything I tried in a Large was legitimately massive.
L vs M
Knitted Overshirt in L felt huge (no M to try) but looks okay in pics
The striped broad shirt fit good in L though
Might order a twill shirt or a knit Overshirt but honestly wasn’t sold on anything.
Oh and this is the fleece Overshirt in a M.
What size did you go with for the pants?
Medium for the jersey pants and 31 for the chinos. Both fit well, could’ve sized up on the chinos to a 32
that collar looks really good tbh!
How is the waist sizing on the Chinos? TTS or run large? I'm usually a 32 in levi's jeans and abercrombie jeans
I’d say pretty much TTS, I actually sized down for a tighter fit but def could’ve gone TTS
Gotcha, was worried because the size chart for the chinos seems to indicate they run large but wasn’t sure how it actually felt irl
What's the second color? The only ones we have here are Grey (dark) and brown
It's listed as Brown here: https://www.uniqlo.com/ca/en/products/E461552-000?colorCode=COL35&sizeCode=SMA003
Interesting. Their photoshoot is making both jackets so much darker than your IRL picture
They both look like 2 shades of grey
Which one would you say is your favorite/most versatile
I liked the darker one. Neither is really anything I’d get but the lighter one was way too light for me
i felt that too. the photoshoot is a bit funky with the colours. like those maroon jackets look great online but in person i felt they didn't have teh same oomph
damn the lambwool is GONE online
I went back today and still think the sizing is kinda wack. Might wait and see on the shirts and size down because the M is still bigger than most of my Ls. Got to try the brown knit Overshirt in M and L and they’re basically the same size (which checks out measurement-wise)
Bought one because of this. Thank you
What are your top 5-10 favorite Uniqlo pieces?
Has anyone tried this
Of the items I own…chambray shirt, uniqlo u oversized denim shirt/jacket, u long sleeve t, straight fit chinos, a very sturdy feeling denim shirt which has aged beautifully
Trying to think of any more non standard items I’ve picked up
top 5 in no particular order: pleated wide pants, eg fleece, uniqlo u airism tee, all of their colored socks, their "needles" 7 cut flannel
I’m really back and forth on the Jersey pants and have been mulling over whether to return them… maybe that indecision is my answer right there
what did you decide?
i'm in the same boat. i tried them on and picked them up in the olive. but i'm not sure if I want to keep them.
What's the gripe for Jersey pants?
They’re very sweatpants-y
Ah, understandable. Too bad barely anything can Vuori comfort wise when it comes to sweatpants/joggers. Style wise, I totally get it
i liked the mock necks in person but couldn't figure out how i would wear it
i'm good w/ tees and they don't seem to mash with my flannels or hoodies or w/e
but im gonna start looking for inspo now bc the idea of wearing mock neck tickles my brain
mock necks were nice but it being 52% polyester for winter kinda turned me off
was hoping for 100% cotton
Just to confirm something: as a 5'7 -5'8 guy wearing M, what size should I pick for the Fleece overshirt jacket?
What does the size chart say
Towards M, but multiple testimonies on Reddit and here per ler confirm that the sizing runs very large/baggy for this piece
This is a M. I’m 5’9” like 194.
But my weight is also all gut lol
No chance I'll make M work then haha. Thanks again xmdot
I am back on the hype train to Jersey, lmao
I woke up very cold today and started thinking about how warm they are… also if you dress then up more intentionally (tucked in shirt, layered with a blazer or jacket), then they’re much less sweatpantsy and complement that look
anyone know when the JW Anderson collaboration is going to be revealed
There’s posts of it on Instagram

Fleece Zipped Hoodie | UNIQLO UK
White Mountaineering is reinterpreting UNIQLO essentials. Transcending age and gender, these updated designs incorporate recycled materials and work great as outer layers or inner layers. Introducing the new urban, elevated LifeWear.- Hybrid design combines long-pile fleece and smooth fleece. Woven fabric detail at the chest pocket. - A utility ...
okay perfect that is what I was worried about but glad to hear there is hope haha
i did get the jersey pants $10 off so I guess why not hah
just curious about what footwear will go best with the brown jersey pants
i’m curious, which color? also, is there a reliable way of figuring out your size besides trying it on? guessing not but it annoys me how the tool on their site only gives estimates based on height
canadian site has size chart
bless you
no idea, Im a weirdo that just fits generic Large in most western brands
feel that
im thinking of the white one, don’t have much outerwear in white
are the an*me profile pics specifically for the uniqlo thread
I picked up another couple of U T-shirts when I walked past their store earlier
Black, and what they call “Gray” but tbh it looks like it’d pass for navy, which is what I was after haha
Although strangely, my first few were XS, then I sized down to XXS for a few more, and now that I’m liking looser fits, I’ve sized up again. So I have a real assortment of sizes now…
i picked anime just bc it was appropriation
rawr
White mountaineering dropped online, i thought about the down jacket but it just doesn’t seem right for me
personally not a fan of either of the pieces
I sleep on both of these. The down jacket from the previous release was really good.
yeah both of them are super meh
was impressed by the hoodie at first, but i realized uniqlo has 2 other pieces similar to it
it’s the exact same as the previous one, with a hood on
yeah, these exist
i havent seen them in person, but the one on the right looks really elegant
Talking about this. Arms don’t have the same texture and they have enormous pockets. Previous one was a bomber and new one is hooded
yea so theres 3. 2 of which arent timed exclusives.
the first one the EG collab?
no, WM. this is the second wm release
oh, right, I got the parka from that release, should yave got that fleece as well?
There was a parka, a fleece pullover, fleece bomber, the light down jacket (same one here) i think. Fleece isn’t as good as the EG one, plus the the jacket blouses heavily when sitting and there isn’t a double zip to alleviate that
This fall sale is underwhelming
is there a way to see the original price? so i know how good the discount is
no, but most sales are $10 off on $40+ items and $5 off on t-shirts
darn
i hate that
i need a price tracker for uniqlo like i have for steam games
I ended up getting the knitted Overshirt jacket TTS. Will probably keep. Just wish the sleeves weren’t also oversized. I do not have an NBA player’s wingspan.
i often have that issue where the sleeves are too long but the rest of it fits
Just got these women’s brushed jersey pants. Wider fit than the men’s version. They’re super comfy and have a great fabric and silhouette, I highly recommend them! https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E462645-000/00?colorDisplayCode=38&sizeDisplayCode=003&utm_medium=social&utm_source=appshare
UNIQLO
Brushed Jersey Pants | UNIQLO US
Smooth jersey fabric in an elegant cut. Comfortable elastic waist.
got my Uniqlo order. first impressions (I'm 6'0" 190 lbs with a long torso; I ordered Large on the shirts since there's no medium-tall)
DRY CREW T-SHIRT - I like the material and comfort, but it's see-through (in white) and can only be used as an undershirt. (I should've sized down if I knew this would be an undershirt). I'd still prefer the airism crew neck T as an undershirt.
OVERSIZED AIRISM T - Love the material/comfort. Shoulders are slightly too big. The shirt being a little heavy and the neckhole being a little small makes it feel a little restricting. I'm new to oversized halfsleeve shirts, but I'll wear this with some outfits. (I would also like to get a t-shirt with this same material but a non-oversized fit)
AIRISM CREW NECK T - Totally different material from the oversized airism. It's thin, and much stretchier. Super lightweight to where I forget I'm wearing a shirt. It's a slimmer fit than the other 2 shirts, and it contours the body well; it's long enough for the torso. This might be the one I wear the most often.
AIR SENSE PANTS (ULTRA LIGHT) - They are thin, light and stretchy. Pockets are see-through. They are comfortable. They are sort of like golf-pants, or like boyband music video pants. It has a synthetic look; these wont pass as a chinos, and I wouldn't wear for dressy situations, but I will wear these in a lot of casual outfits. Sizing down (32 instead of 34) was the correct decision for me.
UNDERWEAR - Both the regular and the airism underwear are shorter and tighter than the underwears I normally wear. They're both thin and stretchy. The airism underwear looks and feels different from most underwear out there. I'll need more time to judge the comfort , but so far, good. But so far I seem to prefer the non-airism underwear.
ULTRA STRETCH JOGGER - Material feels similar to airsense pants but stretchier. Sizing down (M instead of L) is a good call for me. They just look like regular and generic aesthetically, but the fabric and comfort feel good.
Overall, fit fabric and comfort are good across the board. 👍
im in Japan
went to flagship store
prices here seem cheaper than in us for sure
About 50% cheaper at current exchange rate
for sure
def gonna pick up some stuff before i go back to USA
Turns out the fleece overshirt isn't that baggy after all
But the style of the jacket does raise questions as to how it would fit me in the next smaller size (S) instead
Same with goes with the utility blouson whose sleeves are quite long
Perfect for layering, but a tad bit too wide when wearing a single shirt underneath
my uniqlo U jersey pants in brown just came in. First thoughts, I like how it feels, feels/fits like a sweat pant especially with the elastic waist but I think it can be dressed up. managed to get it for $10 off so definitely worth it for me.
i think im gonna size down on the airism oversized. go 1 size lower than the other shirts.
I think it looks good with a snugger fit on the torso, but still with the large sleeves
I think it looks good with a snugger fit on the torso, but still with the large sleeves
Bad idea. I thought of the same thing, executed the idea and realised how short it was once I raised my arms in the air
Not to mention the shrinking after the first wash
i didnt return it yet. if i wash it, it may void the return. but thats a good point.
also, im in the process of losing 20 more lbs. clothing being too big now isnt a bad sign, but it could be way too loose in a few months
I was extremely lucky to have the tag and stickers with me as I tied it back on it since it was broken at one point
You can imagine how nerve wrecking their inspection was
I really need to figure out how to press open their tag mechanism so that you can clasp it closed again if you're going to return an item post wear
Whatever your plan might be, always stick to TTS for the oversized look
Mine arrived today. I went with a Large like I always do with Uniqlo. Do y'all think the fit on the shoulders is acceptable? I like it a lot otherwise.
Shoulders look slightly too big. But it seems like its in an acceptable range
Do you feel comfortable when you move your arms around
Looks good.
I agree about it going a little past my shoulder. I am ok with that. It's comfortable to move around, I just wasn't sure if the bunching around the shoulders and how it lifts up and out like that when I put my arms up is ok or not.
shoulders being a little over is ok to me, looks fine overall. my only issue with this jacket was sleeve length which looks fine on you as well
I tried most of their shirt jackets and vests in S (as a regular M) and while the fit is perfect while a tad bit tight, it's not viable for layering at all
Has anyone gotten the pleated wide leg cords?
So this is gonna be a thing this season… https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/special-feature/collaboration/uniqlo-and-engineered-garments

I like the utility jacket
fuck, do I get the uniqlo u big coat or the eg big coat
im loving the airism crew. its my favorite shirt. it feels like im wearing nothing
the bomber fucks
Does anyone have the worker trousers from Uniqlo. It said to wash them separately because of colour bleed does anyone have expirience with that
It even has a big extra pocket just for condoms.
sex haver bomber
Anyone getting anything from the JW Anderson collab? Most of it looks like a pass but intrigued by the blazer but the poly count seems pretty high
Wide fit chinos
Just like want black trousers in general and I'm familiar with Uniqlo already
Or I'll just get the pleats Uniqlo has rn but I need to compare
I checked out the wide fit jeans today (looking for a new pair of black jeans) but while they fit perfect on the waist, they were surprisingly tight on my butt, particularly at a seam that pretty much went right along my butt crack
It’s a shame because they looked great otherwise but I knew that would bug the hell out of me if I was already having issues in the dressing room
I didn't like how the fabric on the blazer felt, was at Uniqlo today
The Uniqlo I went to didn't have the trench coat. Ig I'll have to check it out in NYC
The cotton fabric on the non-button down flannel didn't impress me
They didn't have the button down, curious about that one as the design is cool
Thanks- looks nice in the pics but yeah was concerned about the hand feel with that much blended fabric. Sounds like an easy pass
i'm quite curious about the trench coat. i'll lyk once i check it out
Some of the UU on sale in Canada btw
Pleated trousers fit good but I'm reminded of the fact I only have sneakers and can't pair it up at all
But good for future reference
the uniqlo x jw ones?
Nope
The mainline
JW was too thick
oh ok thanks
the material was thick?
I need to get some new footwear eventually but not focused on it
Well I wanted flowy trousers
The pleated one was relatively thinner but tbf I didn't actually try the JW ones aside from feeling it
thick was actually what i was hoping for lol
Prob good then
yah thanks for the info!
what are your guys thoughts on the White Mountaineering collab fleece hoodie
it’s $20 off rn
in Canada
i tried it in the store, seemed decent and the design is cool. i'm more interested in the down coat
i like the uniqlo x EG fleece design more (that one is no longer being sold but can be found secondhand)
@eggtart! how are the Uniqlo x jw chinos too thick lol? They're too thin imo, less substantial than my j crew ones
they're thinner than the pleated ones
thank you, the pleated ones aren't cotton tho 😢
I’ve never purchased an EG release from Uniqlo. Does a collaboration like this sell out instantly?
This has been on my mind as well
probably pretty quick, but given Qlo volumes probably not "instantly".
ya they'll sell out faster than they should because of resellers but not instantly. plus you'll see some restocks with returns etc over time
I can see some popular sizes selling out initially but Id imagine these will sit given the price point, or like the above comment restocks after peope try and return. I find most special collections in recent years over >$100 USD (Jil, WM, Marni) do not move as quick. Could probably find them on steep sale over time.
What's Jil and WM?
Jil Sander and White Mountaineering, sorry
What are your thoughts on the white mountaineering down jacket?
if you mean the hybrid down jacket, very good. it’s a rerelease from the previous release that did sell out and did not actually restock because of popularity and resellers.
Ooh cool I'm going to try it on when I'm in the city
Thanks for your thoughts, everyone. Hopefully I can snag the fishtail parka on Friday.
I mean I think I saw a non collab EG fishtail on eBay the other day for not more money, I would consider that as it's probably nicer even tho it's used
Are EG Uniqlo collabs more uniqlo sizing or should I follow EG sizing
measurements specific to the garments, i would not say they are “uniqlo” or “eg” specific sizes. Would recommend checking size charts. end of the day, these are uniqlo pieces and not eg
I own it and love it from the previous release
this one
i quite like that jacket as well
oh that's not the one i'm talking about. urs looks really nice tho
UNIQLO
Recycled Hybrid Down Jacket | UNIQLO US
Stylish cut with excellent heat retention. Casual, unisex wave quilting design.
meant this one
what do ug think of brown vs olive?
both are great, i lean towards olive just bc I love the color more in general
thank you! that's what i was thinking too
has anyone tried the Hemlut Lang Jeans?
They're only 40 quid now so I picked them up
There was a small discussion regarding them in #general-chat yesterday
I'd say they're worth it if you like the design at that price
I wasn't that impressed with the fit/quality tho when I tried them on
they need to build a store where I live 😭 especially with these 3 quid returns
am i the only person in here that doesn't actually like uniqlo?
interesting, i should try going to the other interests thread and tell people i don’t like their interests
lol
not a shitpost, just wondering if im missing something. seems like uniqlo is the go-to for everyone and everything
There are definitely a lot of people who don’t like it. It’s a fast fashion company with the same ethical labor concerns as many others, and some people may find general offerings bland
gotcha. my bad if it came off the wrong way - i know im guilty of purchasing stuff from stores/brands that other people might find tasteless/bland/poorly made/whatever, so definitely not here to judge. was just curious about why there seems to be so much love for them here
out of the many of the fast fashion retailers there are out there, i generally like how well most of uniqlo clothes fit. their special collections are also always quite interesting to me and have been a customer for the past decade.
It's cheap and it's bland enough that it will work as basics for a lot of people. Reliable collections that don't change too much. Different fit options across mainline/U/collabs.
i like uniqlo for certain stuff but not everything
the uniqlo u t shirts (and to a lesser extent their other t shirts) are a great value basics wise
then there are usually a few (but not all) seasonal collab pieces that are a great value both design and materials wise
the sweatpants are great too, and lot of people like getting socks from them
some of the mainline jackets are v decent, i have a shacket in cotton-linen that's nice
uniqlo's fashion sense is a step ahead of all other mall brands at its price point. some of their stuff is flimsy (which you can expect at that pricepoint) which i avoid. in terms of being ethical, you're not doing yourself any favors shopping there (they aren't the very worst however)
I have noticed they are sort of a watered down version of what people get in Japan with Beams and United Arrows
appreciate all your responses. i do pick up some things from there occasionally if i need something cheap and basic in a pinch but i guess i never really pay much attention to the other stuff
If you have developed taste this is what they're good for. If you don't, then they're a decent affordable and basic recommendation that can serve multiple styles well as basics.
Also t shirts wise, you have to think how many blank t shirts do you actually want. You may get interested in graphic tees which I don't recommend Uniqlo for (unless ur into anime/manga)
ooh yeah i think im close to maybe 50 or 60 tees and most of them are blank... not a huge fan of graphic tees
its affordable basics. i think its a great option. though you could also make the point that most affordable mainstream mall brands feel samey now and theyre all trying to chase the same casual basics market
you could really buy clothes from any of them. they all sell the same kinds of things. uniqlo is great, but because brands are so similar, none feel irreplaceable.
seems like the EG stuff is live now for those interested
i dunno how much of this still rings true but uniqlo is sized for east asians, which suits me as a short guy. its hard to find a xs or xxs in other brands at time
so far, the shirts ive tried are not as short as i expected. and im 6'0"
i got airism oversized and airism crew neck, and i got L just in case they were too small, but i really couldve gotten M and have been fine
thats doesn't ring true for me, I'm 6'3" and the large size stuff has always run TTS
Feel like someone mentioned this earlier but Uniqlo US sizes are supposed to be TTS; Japan sizes are slightly smaller with shorter cuts for many items - size one up.
https://newdenizen.com/uniqlo-us-japan-sizing/
On average east Asians have longer torsos shorter legs so Japanese brands may already have long shirts and then they make them longer for us lol

UNIQLO Sizing: Japan vs. US Women's Comparison | New Denizen
UNIQLO in Japan is generally one size smaller than the US version. Here's a deep dive of the Japan vs. US sizing charts and a side-by-side comparison of the same shirt sold in the US vs. Japan.
Anyone try the trench?
This has also been my experience after shopping Uniqlo US vs Uniqlo JP (US = TTS, JP = size one up)
Stopped by Uniqlo at the flushing mall today. The Uniqlo x white mountaineering down jacket was incredibly light
It's like a liner jacket or something, not sure what use I would have for it
The EG collab pieces were nice, a bit nicer than I expected. Wasn't cool enough to convince me to not instead get mainline EG secondhand tho.
Flushing had more stuff than Roosevelt field but it was still missing a bunch. Got to go to Manhattan Uniqlo to check out the JW trench
makes sense, i bought some of the shonen jump shirts and the XL was definitely not US XL size
That would make sense, yah. My Uniqlo buys from Asia fits different than the ones stateside, though I personally rationalized it as me not going to them often enough haha
Has anyone snagged the EG pieces? Curious to see some actual fit pics outside the lookbook.
There’s some discussion in the EG channel. Idt anyone biught much tho
got the parka in today pretty happy with it so far. on the fence though on how it looks on me (esp as a 5' 6" person)
i do agree with the comment in the eg channel abt how the parka fabric is pretty 'technical' feeling
ah that's too bad, i had an old uniqlo parka back in the day and didn't love that smooth technical feeling shell
it doesnt exactly feel like uniqlo blocktech or the other full synthetic outer layers, but it's definitely apparent that its poly with some cotton mixed in (also i think the water coating adds to that texture)
apparently the other colors ( i got the dark gray ) are full poly shells so yeah
also sizing is big, probably couldve gone another size down (5 6 and 160lb, got an S) and it would still be oversized looking. lots of space to layer below.
now wondering if i should get the utility jacket too 🤔
gotcha, thanks for all the info @veggie! was the utility jacket a similar material as well?
never seen the utility jacket in hand but from what ive seen and heard the outer fabric is 100% cotton so itll definitely be different from the parka
ah nice, that makes a difference. i'll have to check it out
yeah it's p good
not warm by any stretch of the imagination but it looks really cool as a top layer
quite a bit LARPy though if you button it up and belt it though
esp cause mine is beige
Has anyone gotten the U twill shirts and can comment on the fit? https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E465731-000/00?colorDisplayCode=67&sizeDisplayCode=006 i like oversized but the chest size is really big. I tried an S which seemed big already but the neck was too small.
UNIQLO
Twill Oversized Long-Sleeve Shirt | UNIQLO US
Fluffy brushed twill. Relaxed cut for a casual style.
Don't own but tried on -- they fit very oversized in the body/arms, but the collar is relatively true to size; I tried on a M that fit less oversized in the body, but couldn't do the top button.
Agree when I tried one on too, also didn’t buy
I ended up getting the broadcloth oversized but I'm 50/50 on keeping it
Ugh haha thanks. I thought the collar being too small felt uncomfortable even when the top button wasn’t done. I may try an M but I’m a TTS large. I like the broadcloth one but had to crop it for sure
I got the broadcloth in M
I got the solid colored one in M, but I live in Asia so sizing may be different from US. It's slightly oversized on my body but doesn't feel sloppy. Sleeves length is just right and the collar doesn't drop like when you wear a shirt that's too large.
ngl black friday here is kinda mid
Good brands don't need to offer huge discounts to attract customers.
Damn, the OCBDs forced my hand to wait since they ran out of M and I missed on 35$ of sales
Especially the white and light blue ones
Only their Oversized Airism is 5$ off which is terrible by BF standards
One of the rare times patience has punished me
Uniqlo is already so cheap
$5 off you mean?
Yes
You can clearly picture my mind ranting while writing that message
anyone know the difference between the down parkas at uniqlo
like theres different models and i wouldnt know the difference
New here, is UNIQLO still good for budget stuff?
Yes
Is anyone as an opinion about the wool sweater from Uniqlo ? I don’t know much about sweaters but they seems nice when I tried them today

How good is Uniqlo knitwear?
Best value product: Uniqlo merino knitwear Runners-up: Natalino trousers, SuitSupply tailoring When you buy Uniqlo knitwear rather than something more expensive, what are you getting? What is it about the product - rather than where it’s made, or by whom - that you're sacrificing? These are the questions I...
Very interesting, thanks
I hesitate between the Uniqlo and the jamieson. The jamieson will be better but my concern is about the sizing because I can only buy the jamieson online
I would size up if you buy Jamieson online, they do run small!
Yes I follow some discussion about it but it frightened me
If you go by the actual garment measurements and compare it to something you own that fits well it should be fine! I think they are quite consistent at least
Ok ok, thank you very much
Is Uniqlo quality different in Japan? I know that for some brands like Levis, NF, etc. quality can change drastically but I want to know if this applies for Uniqlo
The Jamieson is a Shetland?
Totally different sweater I think, a Shetland is a thick sweater with coarser wool and Uniqlo is thin merino. A better comparison with Uniqlo would be like a john smedley merino sweater
IMO eBay is such a goldmine for knitwear that Uniqlo seems expensive and worse quality in comparison
The one I try isn’t a merino : https://www.uniqlo.com/fr/fr/product/pull-en-laine-premium-col-rond-460940.html

Basically identical, they do get a few unique collabs but most stuff is exactly the same.
it's uniqlos lambswool sweater not their merino sweater
i have a lambswool jumper that i'm fond of
not the thickest, but its warm and feels good
Anyone know how often Uniqlo restocks? Having a nightmare trying to find stuff tbh
Usually every Tuesday, I think? It may take weeks or months for the particular item you're looking for, of course. Seasonal stuff may not get restocked at all.
Just after a white t shirt 🤣
Does Uniqlo tend to run small? I bought a button down shirt from the thrift store in size M, but it fits me perfectly even though I'm solidly an S in almost all cases
I'm wondering if it's a slim fit bc the wrists are an especially nice fit on me when that's an area a lot of clothes are too big on, but the tag doesn't indicate such a thing
It really depends. They have some slim fit stuff but a lot of the U stuff is actually quite oversized. Older things were a bit slimmer but they've loosened up over time.
I finally ran through the EG x Uniqlo stock at my local store. Impressions below -- but my take is that they are good!!
- All things are very oversized. I sized down from XL to L and things look good, normal, plenty of room for layering. (previously for summer polos I was less successful in sizing down the EG stuff)
1. bomber/"blouson" was the sleeper hit for me: it's got filling! shell is thick, like wool! (though it is 90/10 poly/rayon) It's warm! It's also cropped, which I think looks cool for winter outerwear. Also most street-forward IMO, with a sorta-futuristic vertical three-button collar snap, a similar one-button snap on the bottom, and of course extra random pockets (left sleeve, right patch pocket)
2. Utility Jacket (M-65ish) is also quite solid, I really liked the colors Olive and Brown...pulled my hair out trying to choose between them. 2x extra patch pockets on the back. Has internal cinch to close at waist as well as on bottom. Even sizing down I have tons of room to layer, like over a suit jacket. Lighter than the bomber, no filling, but more substantial than a lighter coat.
3. Hooded Coat (M-51 fishtail parka) very big, more technical fabric and despite the ankle length it's lighter than the others. Least fashion-y...no excess pockets even! Website says "extra stitching around the pockets" but I didn't notice it at all. It seems fine, and maybe preferable for a milder season. But as the most expensive option it seems the least interesting on its face.
I find Uniqlo shirts big except length
How's the sizing for the Souffle Yarn Cable Long Sleeve Crew Neck Sweater? I'm seeing people order one smaller size, but I'm terrified to lose the sweater to the drying machine if it will shrink like a previous one.
so don't dry it in the dyer
Duely noted
So do I take the gambit and get it S rather than M? That's what most people my height did and I'm wearing their 2022 turtlenecks S as well
I'd refer to teh size chart and go from there.
It's possible the size has changed since 2022 but I'm not familiar with the sweater to say for sure
About that, they always display 2 charts on their products and the bottom one is present everywhere. So which one should I pay attention to
The one with measurements of the piece itself. Compare it to the sweater you have that fits well.
I'm a L and based on these measurements it looks pretty TTS. I probably wouldn't size down, but that's also just me.
Thank you ler
definitely compare it to a sweater of your own though just to be safe
yeah i find a ton of their stuff to be oversized
Yeah, some of their stuff is weirdly oversized; usually I‘m a S/M but for their regular merino sweater I had to downsize to XS
right? it’s inconsistent and i end up having to try it in store
I mostly just think it's the U/Lemaire stuff but I also think sizing down doesn't necessarily look right with some of it either, it's meant to look oversized
Case in point: their overshirt that was a bit too stuffy and tight in the smaller size
No perfect inbetween
So might as well embrace the oversized trend
in the end i resold it again on Vinted because it was still too loose
Excellent sweater overall, but surprisingly flexible and a bit too much room in the sides of the chest for M so will have to go for S
Any 5'1 dudes here shopping with UNIQLO?
Im 5'3", their stores dont carry xxs in stock afaik, and ive also ordered off their website which ended up too small
Ye nost/all shirts/jackets/hoodies etc that are XXS fit me nicely.
I just wanted to see what other experiences people had with this height & UNIQLO
The trackies though are quite baggy/loose for some reason.
Same as the slim fit chinos
how’s it been working out for you? i’m thinking of getting it as wel
as well
i find my sizing with uniqlo is over the place
Same
it works for me after I had it cropped, I was hoping there was something a little more oversized but L was too much for me. only complaint is it feels very prone to neck stains in my experience
sorry wdym you had it cropped
The Souffle Yarn Cable Long Sleeve Crew Neck Sweater is actually oversaturated in medium and out of stock in small in every local stores
That's very unusual and mildly annoying
shortened the length by 2-3 inches
so it wouldn't cover my booty
Anyone have the JW Anderson tweed-looking blazer? Tempted to pick up the brown one
why does uniqlo use doordash to deliver packages now
went to my email to look at tracking and these mfs sent me a doordash link
never seen that before
not that I've ordered a lot of stuff from them but that's never happened to me before. do you live near a physical store?
the nearest one is like 10 miles, but the tracking shows that they picked up my order from this other store that is 35 miles away
r they rly having this person drive 45 mins to deliver me socks
aintnoway
in other, perhaps more sensible news, it seems they are expanding GU overseas
Nikkei Asia
Uniqlo sister brand GU to set up shop in New York in overseas push
Retailer aims for $4bn in sales in 5 years, with eyes on Europe and Southeast Asia
the only GU thing i have is a undercover collab fleece that is pretty cool
i think they are generally worse quality than uniqlo but dirt cheap prices
how are the uniqlo sweatshirts? seem to be on sale right now - debating grabbing one
Extremely okay. Good for the price.
Sale?
Uniqlo. Yes
Link? The one I looked at was full priced
At least in Canada
Ah yeah not us 😦
can an american buy GU currently?
AFAIK they're Asia only but with plans to open in the US?
I think theres a NYC store technically
Yeah nyc store in soho opened last year
Uniqlo is most of my work and a considerable amount of my casual wardrobe
an odd q, but anyone know of a side by side comparison of how the slim fit oxfords fit vs the regular fits?
i've rediscovered some of my old ones and they fit okay. I'm skinny so I can probably get away with a slim fit regardless, but was curious as to whether a regular fit would just look much different
What are your top 5 favorite pieces from uniqlo
Supima tees and 4 kinds of underwear, TBH
Probably more than 4 kinds of underwear, actually
currently:
- EG Bomber (2023)
- EG Long Hooded Coat (2023)
- Wide Fit Cargos
- Pullover Hoodie/Sweatshirt (perfect for cropping & neckline widening)
- House Shoes
white heattech socks, side line sweatpants, uu parachute cargos, uu airism tees, and the uu drawstring bag
Chambray shirt - although I’d like a regular fit one but they seem to have become very anti stocking them
The corduroy ankle pants (although I can wear them a bit longer)
The (thicker) flannels
Uniqlo U jeans
Coloured socks
Actually, i could swap out the corduroy with the regular fit chinos - once I got them hemmed they fit me really well
(But again, they seem very against stocking regular fit chinos nowadays - all slim!)
I wear my UU knit overshirt/cardigan a lot. I kinda regret not at least trying the UU wide pants from last season. I also like the UU shirts (the thickbois, not the airism half sleeves)
Samee for the parachute cargoes and drawstring bag
i want to try the non-cargo parachute pants they just put out
i dont really need any more pants tohugh
damn they only have slim in canada it looks like.
How slim is their slim.
Is it just not wide. Or is it skinnyskinny
large with 18" shoulders is too slim for me
Didn't know Uniqlo had classic cut ocbd. I don't see it on the US site. Funny the garment is called "slim fit oxford" but in the description it says classic cut. Checking the measurements they are the same they've been for a while. Which is slim. I sized up twice and like how they look.
Socks, heat tech undergarments, their late 2000s version of supima tees (easily blows away their tees in the past 5 years). Also own a +J puffer vest from 2011(?) which I still use regularly.
White Mountaineering collab parka
Big pants
patiently waiting for U SS24
also might buy some pants from C
i wanna try the cropped tee
same.
I feel like they usually tease it around now, so hopefully we'll see something soon
there's been a few things on jpy site, i saw parachute shorts and there's a long sleeve airism U shirt coming
Top 4: hoodies, t shirts, workout shorts, flannel shirts
ezy jeans, uniqlo u x lemaire wide fit pants, t shirts, airism tank top, airism briefs
which tee?

he missed hard with this one
Finally! I was getting impatient 😂
ouu those parachute shorts lookin nice
Hmm, I like the blouson and the cardigan. Hoping they’ll have it an XS in Europe.
May pick up the open collar long sleeve shirt and some tees too
Oh hypee taking a look
i feel like i would attempt to find the wide fit pleated pants only to be disappointed
that said if it gets people off of PRL andrews :xd:
the wide fit pleated pants from the prev season were fucking slim lmao
Hoping one of the wide fit pants are closer to the wide parachute pants, those are good
is it just me or did they raise the prices of all their t shirts by $5?
it's in CAD, US link: https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/contents/collaboration/uniqlo-u/24ss/men/

The blouson looks really nice in those product photos actually.
Idk I'm mainly underwhelmed
Tho I like the pleated pants
I already have the parachute cargos and they did them last season anyway
I like the look of pleated pants, but I think they look too big on me
I’m not allowed anymore wide pleated pants until I wear the ones I’ve currently got 😂
Not a fan of the cardigan/t-shirts having so much polyester tbh
I can't see the fabric composition on mobile is the camp collar shirt polyster?

Tbh I don't care about the fabrics necessarily but I just found this collection minimalist in a boring way
Thank you very nice
I'm not a massive fan of the colours used
I don't hate it but it feels like Lemaire in a particularly ehhh fuck it mood
I kind of got that feeling tbh. 😂
I feel like it's been that way for a while now. The first 2-3 years were fun and exciting. There were colors and patterns. Statement pieces. That was also when relaxed fits were just starting to come back, so maybe that gave it an edge. Recent seasons have just been all brown, and the fabrics haven't been interesting. Early UU was cheap but still had a hint of luxury. It was a healthy compromise between Uniqlo and Lemaire. It seems today it's just kinda how Uniqlo beta tests new patterns.
Takes off rose-colored glasses
the utility short blouson sold out and now im mad 🙂
The Uniqlo U blouson coming out soon is the most interesting piece for me in the new U collection btw
is this all plastic except a few lonely items?
Are you in Asia? I didn’t think it launched in EU/NA for a few weeks
hi im in the US
it just sold out and you cant do home deliveries anymore
Would be interested in seeing some of the pieces in “person” as opposed to the website images tho.
I think I’ll grab the long sleeve shirt, maybe one of the pants
Oh! I didn’t think it was available to order anywhere yet
I’ve seen it but the smallest they had was a medium and I’m an XS
it was but then it sold out so now u can only do the order&pick
I would check the site again on 14th March for NA to see if they restock for the official launch.
The blouson is advertised as a denim material so now I’m intrigued and would maybe swing towards the blue..(if it’s at all available come the EU launch…)
i like the blouson quite a lot but something about it makes me feel like i'd find a more interesting version of the jacket at some point elsewhere
You may have had a visual glitch, the uniqlo u collection doesn't drop until March 14, so you've got time (even tho the product pages currently say "out of stock")
They have 100% cotton and non cargo parachute pants up on the UK site.

Tempting
Shame the rise is a bit shorter than the parachute cargos :Sadge:
I’m going to give them a try. Might be nice for lounging and summer.
:EZclap:
Hopefully they're good!
Do you have the parachute cargos?
No, I’ve been interested in trying them previously but I’m not a massive fan of cargos in general - so when I saw a cargoless version I got very very tempted 😂
For the w i d e lovers, looks like there’s a more “permanent” U chino, think this was FW23 but in extended sizes https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E470549-000/00?colorDisplayCode=38&sizeDisplayCode=031
UNIQLO
Wide-Fit Chino Pants | UNIQLO US
The soft feel of cotton twill. Wide cut ideal for relaxed styles.
I have wanted to try wide leg/pleated pants
But it’d need a slim waist so I don’t look wide top to bottom
A tucked or cropped top layer will help you hit that silhouette
good lookin out, ty💪
I usually go for a tucked top, never tried a cropped top
What I might slowly do is complete a full set of plain tees all in TMNT colours, perfect set of options (red, blue, purple, orange, and of course green, maybe brown as well)
I got a few from Muji and might go for the rest from Uniqlo
Honestly using TMNT to choose colour combos could be a fun challenge, one turtle at a time
Ah that is cool. The U trousers are usually way to small for me. Kinda wish they were pleated though
Anyone tried the cropped tees?
Went ytd but didn't even realize the collection dropped till I went on tiktok
The knitted t shirt?
It says the new U connection is not available till mid March btw
Idk about knitted
I think it was just cropped
Or I guess it dropped in a different region then
The C collection
This is the collection for the US
For women
Ohh C my bad
I spoke too fast
No I just jump ahead sometimes 💀💀
I've never tried Uniqlo womenswear, sounds exciting
I just want to spice up my summer wardrobe
Cropped tees will def get me there and help me with proportions in general
Looking at Uniqlo C, it's a stronger collection than U imo
Cool pants/jeans lineup, the cropped tee, cute knits
Keep in mind the cropped tees are a moderately thick fabric in terms of summer
That's why they're releasing them now and not closer to summer
dang, wish they'd re-release these in canada. they have a new version in the U launch in March but the colours are worse. also only listed up to size 33
Any1 try the linen blend pants this season and any thoughts pos/neg on them
I’ve had the linen blend pants for past few months and enjoy them. Got them in green and grey
Only issue is they are a pain to iron
How's the most recent edition of their wide pleated pants? Had to sell mine that I bought on sale before of the unever laces lengths and weird synthetic material feel
The green listed as olive online? I dont have a nearby store to see and Im hoping they look more like green olive than brown olive
Yes they’re greenish olive
Thanks!
Yeah have not seen them in Europe as well. a cool wide chino is something I'm always looking for
I’m realising most of my wardrobe is becoming Uniqlo lol
Does Uniqlo change the weight of their Supima tees by season? I think the one I picked up yesterday is heavier than the ones I picked up last summer
Good question knowing their U crew is already thick enough as it is
U is thicker than supima
I’ve been considering getting these as a nice casual home/pop out to the shops quickly type comfy pants
Washed Jersey Jogger Pants (Denim) https://www.uniqlo.com/au/en/products/E462630-000?colorCode=COL66&sizeCode=SMA004&utm_medium=social&utm_source=appshare
Any good?
There are also these alternatives in different denim colours, but no ankle cuffs Cotton Relaxed Ankle Pants (Denim) https://www.uniqlo.com/au/en/products/E461420-000?colorCode=COL07&sizeCode=SMA004&utm_medium=social&utm_source=appshare
Thoughts?
Which of the three is the best choice for comfy home/pop to the shops type fits?
i dont see the point in buying $50 sweatpants just because they seem comfy.
It’s in AUD btw
That’s around $32.50 USD
They're all pretty inoffensive choices tbh.
can't put a price on comfy
Which is partly why it’s so difficult to choose
U launches tomorrow in UK (and I assume the wider European market)
Going to try and grab the open collar long sleeve shirt, and maybe one of the pants depending on sizing.
(I'd honestly like some of the oversized tees, but I'm not a fan of the fabric composition on paper)
the airism ones? i was hesitant too but they're very comfy
i like that they're oversized and boxy but not super long
yeah the airism ones
tbh I've never tried them, so maybe in practise i'd find them okay.
picked up the zip up blouson in blue, and then the open collar shirt in gray
the zip up blouson looks like it might be huge sizing wise...probably should've checked that but could see it almost selling out in my size
The autumn/winter collection releases in Australia next week and I’m excited to see what the winter jacket options will be, I need to replace my old torn jacket with something longer hopefully
ooo, is it a new selection or is it what the EU/NA markets got during our AW?
(Assuming it's the same)
Let us know when it arrives if it’s more of a green than grey like it looks in the product pics
Probably the same
I want the non-cargo parachute pants in but the brown ones are sold out here in my size, should I get them in black or olive or wait for the brown ones, someone help me decide please
I like the U green cardigan
not sure if I'm in love with it but not really seeing cardigans elsewhere I like either so might just go for the easy purchase
I would like a retro style cardigan with pockets
Are the U parachute pants better than the regular ones?
Aren’t they both U?
The regular U parachute are 100% cotton and the cargo U parachute are 66% cotton/ 34% nylon
I kinda want some parachute pants
Uniqlo will frequently copy collab items to sell under the main brand, so there’s a U and non-U version of the parachute pants
I think the main difference is just styling details and materials preferences
The cargo one is yelling at you with their U branding
Can't say the same about the regular ones
Either way, which ones are the better pick
Okay I tried them on in store and I don't like then at all lol
They look a bit flimsy and plasticky imo, even the 100% cotton ones
I was wondering that would be the case
They’re also too baggy for my liking
I like the U Blouson - it’s more cropped than I anticipated though.
I'd def recommend the parachute cargos
Interesting I'll check it out when I'm back in downstate NY. Was the one new U piece I was interested in
Will order them at some point when Rakuten cashback is optimal
It will be a nice break from joggers or jeans when I feel like streetwear
The adjustable ankle opening is really piquing my interest
Why those?
They seem to be much better rated than the regular ones, but I also would like to know why
They are available in the same colours which is good too
Even blue
Brought some Qlo for the first time in years today lads.
what u get
A pair of sport socks. £3.90
i like their socks
Their socks are surprisingly popular
I gotta admit, the repertoire of colors is insanely vast
I‘d be nicer if they could finally offer socks in more sizes than just one size fits all 😄
but yeah their colour choices are really nice!
I agree, they are too big for me
So I can’t get them
Muji has very similar socks (even a bit better imo) in 3 sizes
not as many colours though
I do have some Muji socks and t-shirts, I really like them
But I don’t have a Muji in my city
The wall of socks is awesome. So many fun colors.
If only I could participate
anyone grab anything from the Spring/Summer U collection?
I grabbed the blouson - it’s nice although a bit more cropped than I anticipated, but it feels like a solid piece
Also grabbed one of the long sleeve open collar shirts, although it’s a (nice) lightweight fabric so haven’t really had a chance to wear it yet
(Given that the temps here aren’t currently hitting SS levels 😂)
we just got a sneak preview here in PNW of SS. but back to rain soon.
Considering getting brown pants but idk if I should go for colour jeans or try out corduroy
Pair on the right look a lot better to my eye. Cut is weird on the left, too tapered
Go for the cords
What are the cords called?
Smart Ankle Pants (Corduroy)
I'm wondering which color of cargo parachute pants would be best and the most versatile
Hesitating between natural/beige/olive although that greenish khaki one would looks swell with black or dark grey tops
i got the green - pretty good earth tone
Anyone here tried women's jackets (primarily jackets for spring/summer)?
Curious to try on as they would be shorter in length, but would overall fit be all over the place?
I'm really looking at chest size to order.
waiting for sales (often) doesnt seem worth it for this brand
like if i miss a sale on a t-shirt and have to pay $5 more, whatever
What colors are you matching it with
I think those are relatively inoffensive colors and you could pretty much rock them how so ever
Olive is more common so you'll be able to find more pics
They haven't posted the beige one with the others on the compilation pic for some reason which is a bit annoying, but it's already sold out
Meaning it's between khaki and olive which are ironically 2 shades of green
fit varies a ton—i would rec checking shoulder and chest measurements or trying on in person if you're looking for a specific fit, otherwise go for oversized
i tend to like women's cuts a lot more. making shoulders fit can get difficult tho
I have pics of the beige
Uniqlo Wide-fit Parachute Cargo Pants (Beige)
also here: https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1116800072093532191/1192632110180225154
Their color naming-convention is whack. The "beige" is literally khaki while their "khaki" is some sort of green-ish light grey.
Anyway, I have the Black and Beige, and plan on getting Natural. Wish they had this brown for the parachute cargoes:
I appreciate you. Also, nice hoodie and DAMN they're wide
Has anybody here with bigger feet tried Uniqlo's socks? Uniqlo says that they fit US size 8-11, but I wear US 11.5 to 13 depending on the shoe brand. I'm wondering if the Uniqlo socks will be way too small for me.
I wear us12 and theyve fit fine
How odd, they removed 10 additionnal dollars on the khaki and blue ones that are now on "permanent" sale
Are these less popular colorways than the likes of olive and beige or what?
Wouldn't be surprised if that's the case
They probably get more returns/exchanges for the 'khaki" too
Why would that be the case? The only downside with the color I see is how "limited" its versatility seems
Perfect with black, (dark) grey and white, but that's all I have in mind
I mean.. I like the color but I can totally see why some people might buy it then think "uhhh this isn't khaki at all"
Uniqlo did something similar with their airism oversized tees from last season (?) where their "Green" was olive and their "Olive" was (forest) green
so annoying lmao
Turns out "khaki" is a pretty nice color and the pants are really comfortable and roomy
Only downside is how wide the waist feels like so I might have to exchange one size shorter
Very nice
sizing the waist just depends on how high you're wearing them
They have a high rise and long zipper (as opposed to drop crotch where it's high rise with short zipper) so you're supposed to wear them at the true waist instead of at the hipbone
High raise almost always implies sizing it down
I just learned it with A&F Athletic Loose jeans
eh maybe for your measurements but that's not always the case
I've learnt to size up for high rise stuff because my natural waist is quite high and I don't like walking around like I have a wedgie
if I want pants to sit at my natural waist and still be comfortable in the crotch area, I need the front rise to be 13" and up
You're most likely right since they are so baggy that going up only affects the region above the waist and not the thighs meaning this is an exception to the rule
also if you have a gut or belly you will almost always have to size up for high rise
it was a bulk phase ok??? :feelsKEKman:
Is UNIQLO's 'Utility Short Blouson Jacket' a 'timeless' piece of outerwear?
I know a good amount of what timeless pieces are / the basis bastard (Harrington's, Bomber's, Denim' etc etc).
And whilst I really love the look of the jacket, I have it in this olive green colour, I'm curious if anything.
I guess it's a 'Utility Jacket' being the 'timeless' piece right?
And an extra question. Is it an Autumn/Winter outerwear?
Spring? Possibly summer?
it's timeless enough. i think they're based on classic fishing jackets, very similar to the barbour spey
What are thoughts on the wide fit parachute cargo pants? https://www.uniqlo.com/au/en/products/E460268-000?colorCode=COL67&sizeCode=SMA004&utm_medium=social&utm_source=appshare
I like the blue
I was considering it as a fun alternative to chinos/jeans
I really like them. Just ordered my 3rd pair like 5 minutes ago lmao
Third? Wow! You must really like them
Why are you getting a third pair?
Because I really like them?
:Waitwhat:
Fair enough, why do you like them so much?
High rise, partially elasticized waistband + internal drawstrings + belt loops (best combo), lightweight enough to wear in warmer seasons
I wish they made a heavyweight 100% cotton version (the non-cargo parachute pants are 100% cotton but thin, with a shorter rise and no belt loops) for the colder months though
I live in a humid climate so I only get use of my winter attire when I travel overseas
How crushed does the fabric get? Do they need to be ironed like the linen relaxed pants?
@001anthony ^
They don't get very wrinkly, no
And oh God the whole point of relaxed, breezy linen pants is the wrinkled and textured look
:monkaMEGA:
Is it? All the store photos aren’t like that
They shouldnt look like a crumpled mess but yea linen gets wrinkly with wear and that’s part of the charm
No retailer is going to model their product looking wrinkly
I steam them to get them decent
ok steaming isn't so bad. I thought you were bringing out the ironing board just for casual linen pants :LUL:
Might kop a second pair, but I made the silly mistake of buying them now when spring hasn't fully settled in yet
Might go for Natural just to rock bright colors during the summer although Beige is a strong contender
Another 29,90$ sale for both and the choice even easier
Fantastic alternative to joggers
I wish I could see more photos of the blue version so I can see if I wanna get them
god damn it. Two days after I placed an order:
If this helps
Weirdly enough, no olive in sight
I just got a navy linen relaxed pant and it feels pretty nice
It’s linen cotton blend actually
For the same product, I.e airism oversized… is there any difference other than sizing between Chinese and North American market? The shirt is 10 CAD cheaper…
East Asian Uniqlo normally fits a bit smaller.
Yes, sizing is 1 size smaller
But what about quality?
they're likely all made in the same factories and labelled differently.
that's going to be a lot simpler than running whole different production lines for different countries
You have a point
In that case damn the price difference is insane
^
just ordered the street fighter t-shirt
I think that's the first printed t-shirt I bought in 5 years or so
pricing is based on what the market will bear etc.
yeap, see things like Levis benig more expensive in EU compared to US, and reverse for Barbour
When I checked the U tees years ago, I remember them being 1 size smaller and an additional 1" reduction in length
kind of a wierd pick but the pleated linen shorts from womens Uniqlo C are sick if you can fit in them
I have those in my wish list too. They look great
the women's parachute cropped pants are neat too

Zipper is so short on the Denim Baker Pants though :Sadge:
true
it's weird I have them but mine don't have belt loops just the internal drawstring 🤔
are yours the parachute pants and not the parachute cargos?
Ohh that's it mine aren't cargo. I looked at a couple different types back to back when I bought em.
yea I mentioned the non-cargos not having belt loops in the next sentence:
I wish they made a heavyweight 100% cotton version (the non-cargo parachute pants are 100% cotton but thin, with a shorter rise and no belt loops) for the colder months though
I'm going to grab a set of the parachute cargo next. I love the look but really needed the belt loops 🙏
:YEP: :YEP:
I really like the women's Parachute Cropped Pants but those also don't have belt loops :ResidentPatrick:
I had to size down to avoid using the loops. It doesn't sound aesthetically correct to wear them with one for some reason

If you are looking for lightweight and a tiny bit more casual than chinos take a look at the linen pants https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E463857-000/00?colorDisplayCode=56&sizeDisplayCode=005

Linen Blend Relaxed Fit Trousers | UNIQLO GB
New LifeWear that combines UNIQLO’s focus on design, fit, fabric, and functionality with JW ANDERSON’s focus on traditional British apparel into innovative designs.- Cool linen blend fabric in a sturdy twill weave. - Wide, straight cut. - High-rise design. - Comfortable elastic waistband. - Inner waist drawstring for size adjustment. - Original ...
7” wide at the hem though, that is really slim. Not what I would expect from a relaxed linen pant
They might now be compeltly relaxed. But I find them a nice medium between relaxed and a chino
That, and it's like 10" front rise :monkaMEGA:
deeper discounts on some of Uniqlo's new stuff right now:
e.g. Utility Jacket released at $100, dropped to $80 a week or 2 ago, now $60
Wide-fit Chino Pants: $50 -> $40 -> $30
tea-dyed a couple of Uniqlo U Oversized Airism Cotton Tees:
Left: 00 White | Right: 02 Light Gray
The grey has a massive stain on the front so I just used it as an experiment before dyeing a brand-new white tee
the original color is a sickly, bluish bright white:
those look great!
Thanks! I was surprised at how good the dye uptake was. This means the airism tees could be good for tie-dyeing too if anyone's into that
I like the silhouette of the wide fit jeans from the U collection but size 33 is the largest size they have and for me who is pretty average in height (for a Scandinavian male) at 6” I would appreciate a slightly longer leg. Especially since cotton shrinks a little over time. Lots of people are taller than me so I find this strange. I like everything else about these jeans so I would wish this to change.
The wide fit chinos I thought were a little shiny in brown so I returned those. I bought 3 pair of the wide fit jeans however 🤷🏻♂️ and also 5-6 crew neck t-shirts. I’m very content. Great value for the price.
yeah i also noticed that on their website; plenty people have commented on the lack of available sizes on their website
what’s the thickness like of the fabric of the wide fit trousers?
they remind me of the dickies 874
Are you referring to these? They weren’t thick enough for me but could work for someone who likes thin fabrics.
yeah, those ones!
They are pretty thick, I think
I saw them in the store yesterday
They definitely aren’t and would not drape like this if they were?
Yeah I’m holding these right now, they are thin. Even though they are 100% cotton they don’t feel like it. I’m returning them because I can’t handle the fit.
I must have looked at a different item then. I thought they were the wide fit chinos tho. They were wide fit something
last year they definitely offered a pair of very similarly looking trousers but made of thicker fabric, was hoping that they were gonna offer them once again
Yeah I agree. In brown they had that cotton/poly-feel and I didn’t like the sheen either. They felt slightly different in white but in that colour the fabric was too sheer.
These chinos from fw were definitely better imo considering the thicker materials and also love the shape of them. On the other hand I am always skeptical aboout the JW pants, they are always very wide and are much longer than the U line.
Did anyone get the U utility shirt?
I tried the new JWA pants, they were very wide and very long. I didn’t bother trying a smaller size because I didn’t like the logo on the leg
Relaxed linen?
Yes
How tall are you
The colour sucked though
was a really ugly brown colour, the SS ones are the perfect shade of brown
the FW one had this weird green hue to it
I’m loving the linen pants. They are perfect for summer to dress down or up. Here is a pic at work.
I love them. Nice fit.
I had my doubts about color but this one is nice
Also, does any one have experience with uniqlo belts?
My uniqlo rugger shirt died within 2 or 3rd wash. There are hints of lint at places and I dont even machine wash, I only hand wash my clothes
How tapered are those old wide fit chinos? I do love that dark brown color
Just FYI, that photo is not the JW Anderson relaxed linen pant I was referring to - that is the mainline relaxed linen which is pretty much the opposite in terms of fit.
It has very interesting shape since it drapes perfectly over your shoes

Lol these look same to me except the product id. Maybe uniqlo brought them back considering the success of prior. So yea that video is still valid for you.
Picked up the JWA work shorts in natural, liking them a lot
How is the quality on Airsense jacket? Can someone please let me know
Underrated colours
Also these look great if you can size up and embrace pooling or hem
i wish the material was less swishy on 'em though
the u wide fit chinos are so comfy
best pants i’ve bought from them
Better than the smart ankle pants?
I fear the 100% cotton
The sock wall is so great!
I wish Uniqlo would sell these nylon utility trousers again; perhaps in a slightly wider fit
they usually sell the nylon shorts each summer but somehow haven‘t revived the trousers
such great travel / hiking trousers but I don’t like the fit of mine anymore
They always sell one in winters with inner lining
Yeah the winter ones are very similar, but the weave of the nylon fabric isn’t exactly the same
the nylon fabric of the winter ones somehow feel a lot more soft
How is uniqlo underwear? Been putting off getting some new socks and boxers and was thinking about getting stuff from them..
I like the socks
I think color 50 is like the "standard" one so I'd stick to that imo
color 50?
ah
you mean the very plain socks that come in this huge range of colors?
Ya
Idk I haven't really compared the socks but they seem fluffier than the other sock options
I just try to keep it straightforward for myself
Thanks, I think I will give them a try then!
I wear Uniqlo underwear. Cotton boxer briefs for everyday, airism for travel.
I think they're very decent. I've gotten about two years of use before they start showing wear and tear
Bad experience with them while having big thighs
Rided up far too much despite the nice reviews
Their regular boxers are decent quality, but I find that they aren’t long enough in the legs to prevent chafing. I still wear mine that I’ve bought over the years, but I’ve switched to other brands offering longer cuts going forward.
If you don’t chafe, they’re perfectly fine and a great deal.
the airism boxers are great for travelling; super light and dry very easily
The socks are great, but the unisex size is annoying. The elastic is very weak, so they would not stay up.
I don’t know which colour to get
they're both amazing, sprry
Green
Hence the difficult choice haha
Id go green as well, showed my wife them and now she wants one
That too was a dead giveaway I should have paid more attention to
Uniqlo best pieces are in women section tbh
the womens pants look wayyy better than the mens i agree
especially the uniqlo C stuff
Uniqlo C is goated. It got many pretty jumpers still remaining here but it is summers here so I will pass
Grabbed the last one of these pants in my size 😋
Those slight pleats are quite interesting
So this uniqlo tee got viral when some kpop star wore it. And uniqlo decided to collab with that particular kpop group for a UT
does anyone else get the oversized airism in 2 different sizes?
like a large one for a looser fit. and a medium one for a more snug fit depending on the outfit and what mood youre in.
ya i do that. i have a few white and black ones in M and L
smaller size for layering
I fully commit to my regular size as the one below doesn't have the same vibe
Layering could be possible, but I never get to showcase the shirt alone in the winter/fall
Anyone have any experience with the cotton linen overshirt?
https://www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/product/linen-blend-relaxed-fit-overshirt-469046.html
I want something a bit lighter for summer, and I’ve liked their linen cotton blend stuff before.

does anyone have information about the uniqlo J line? like not the +J line, but the one that just does jeans
or are all jeans tagged that way?
im Male, 190 lbs, 6'0" tall.
The airism medium fits perfectly for most outfits. And the large, I use for lounging around at home in a big shirt, or for some outfits where I'm intentionally trying to go super baggy The selvedge jeans. I never worn selvedge before. On first wear, the material is kinda hard and stiff but they look and feel good.

the selvedge jeans are p awesome
Not as slim as I'd normally wear, nor as tight at the waist, but very good overall
theyre a mix between straight and slim. there's a bit of a taper so they're not baggy. but they're not skinny either. so its very versatile
I just wish they sat on my hip instead my butt 😂
I got the corduroy pants in dark green, I’ll wear them with my corduroy Vans on Friday
Just need to find the right shirt/top to go with them

Thanks!
took way too long
Indeed. I’d buy it but I alr have stfs and wranglers. If I was at square one I’d say these are better than both in terms of denim quality
I liked my slim fits for that reason but obv too slim

I tried on the men’s wide fit jeans yesterday and thought they were actually pretty good. They were much wider and higher rise than the measurements on the site say. Didn’t get em though cuz the off white I was interested in was more of a light grey, wasn’t really feeling it.
Does anyone know why Uniqlo "pulled the plug" on the U wide fit Parachute Cargo Pants? Only the natural/cream color survived the purge so far
They're never selling relaxed or athletic fit jeans, are they
What are athletic jeans?
They're selling wide, which I'd consider relaxed.
I'd probably assume the parachutes aren't on ice and that there'll be a new release in the fall
It's dodgy this time of year between seasonal releases
Straight cut jeans with more room at the thighs
A shame summer has been a bit too hot for these too. They show sweat stains far too easily on the fabric
Man I bought their burnt orange camp collar shirt earlier this summer for my trip to Japan and I sweat all over that thing
I'm assuming it's not a linen blend which doesn't help in humid conditions
Yeah it’s a modal cotton blend

UNIQLO : C Fall/Winter 2024 - UNIQLO CA
Renowned British designer Clare Waight Keller introduces a modern collection of elevated essentials that captures the way we move through the city.
Looks pretty meh except for potentially the overcoats. I can't tell if they're car coat-length or proper balmacaans.
Uniqlo GATs :gigachad:
some of their balmacaan’s are also 100% synthetic ‘wool’ ☹️
i find their men’s coats are generally quite meh
ya I'm curious if the C stuff is gonna be 100% wool or a synthetic blend
it says it’s a mixture of 33% wool and the rest is synthetic
boo
sweats look..interesting
I dig the scarf
I mean stole
I’m after the knit blazer in dark brown
100% wool is kind of grim, but this is 33% is terrible, not worth buying
sweet spot is like 80%
what makes it grim?
the 100% wool /s
scratchy
Simply develop callouses or wear an undershirt
100% wool is great
Wool does not have to be scratchy. plus generally speaking one wears something under an overcoat
not me
gonna be honest
didn't know uniqlo had a creative director
Don't they usually have a creative director for their special lines like c or u
I just meant that uniqlo makes uncreative clothes lmao
What's Christophe Lemaire doing then
I assume he still does U
She's moving from just doing C to the whole Uniqlo vision but Lemaire and JW are probably still doing their own little diffusions
Not sure what to make of the new parachute pants
They look clean, but I wish it was natural instead of beige
What are thoughts on the new Geared Pants? Looks like they could be good for wet weather and travelling gear
https://www.uniqlo.com/au/en/products/E463981-000?colorCode=COL09&sizeCode=SMA004&utm_medium=social&utm_source=appshare
I tried on the new oversized shirts from C collection and it felt like wearing paper 💀
oh they finally brought them back!! at least their nylon trousers from a few years ago was of remarkably good quality!
really tough nylon
the same nylon trousers from a few years ago looked a lil less outdoorsy, though
good in wet weather as they dry quickly; i doubt their ‘waterproof’ finish is any good
Better than typical cotton or polyester probably

drape shirt looks nice. maybe parachutes in a better fabric. par for the course tho
kinda wish they'd do the wide chinos in a blue
I wish some of the women’s items could fit me 😭 but I’m glad they’re doing a lambswool sweater again since i missed the last one. Also need those pleated cords
Like the self belt on the cords, might try to pick up
the long coat in white looks nice I might buy but I was also looking for a white trench coat so maybe not
Anyone get the knitted jacket from the C collab and have an opinion on it?
Quite impressed with this - there are a few items I’d be interested in grabbing.
https://www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/products/E470549-000/00?colorDisplayCode=39&sizeDisplayCode=030
Has anyone got the wide chinos in the 38 or 39 colours (both dark brown)
Would be interested in seeing the shades in a non-studio lit setting
Some cool stuff I wished they would do pleated chinos for men though. Will have to take a look at the wide chinos. Hope they are not too short
On closer inspection, the 38’s seem to have a bit of an olive shade to them - so have opted for the 39 !
I have both of the brown ones, one of them is just green, not a tinge of brown, a lovely shade mind you, and the other (39) is proper brown
Probably my favourite trousers
I hate when the small color swatch on the site is brown but when I click it the pants are just green
how do you all feel about the new bags?
these are the 38s, agree they're a bit green https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1116800072093532191/1273695445377355910
Thanks both - that’s good to know!
wondering if I should get this coat
Anyone have the comfort 2b jacket and like it? Thinking about picking it up with the wide pleated pants for a casual suit
I looked at it in the store yesterday. I like how it looks, but I don't like that it's a wool/nylon blend.
There's another knitted jacket coming soon from Uniqlo U that's 100% wool, but it's a very different vibe: https://www.uniqlo.com/ca/en/products/E471847-000?colorCode=COL35&sizeCode=SMA002
looks like the same wool they used on the knit cardigan from last winter. it was pretty nice but also immediately got holes in it
Errr can you elaborate more on the holes part
I just bought one 😬
i mean it's just a little hole in the knit in teh cardigan frmo last year, im not even sure it's the same material
anyone has any expereince/thoughts on the Uniqlo C: SWEAT WIDE PANTS?
Seconded on thoughts on the sweats, I went to my local store but they didn’t have any to try on
yea online only has the green in my size but online returns are 💩 with uniqlo
I am impressed by the ribbed collar cardigan, it fits a “navy blazer-lite” spot in my wardrobe. Weird for me to say but I almost prefer it’s a cotton/poly/rayon blend because it is a bit sturdier than if it was just cotton.
I sized down because it’s a bit oversized. But I want the other colors now…

Somehow they made Jason Jules look boring
https://www.instagram.com/p/DAS4DAAspRn/?igsh=NHZzaWJneGxjb3lh
That comfort jacket looks much longer than the web model photo. Mildly interested in that
I much prefer that to whatever ‘styling’ they usually do
But yea mainline Uniqlo isn’t gonna hold a candle to Drakes or whatever he is usually wearing
I mean you can only get so much out of uniqlo‘s own items
New comfort jacket and wide pants in houndstooth. Very comfy! I like the slouch. The material is not too thin either.
Anyone know if this leans more sweater/cardigan or jacket in terms of thickness?
LAMBSWOOL KNITTED JACKET https://www.uniqlo.com/ca/en/products/E471847-000?colorCode=COL35&sizeCode=SMA004&utm_medium=social&utm_source=appshare
Hard to tell from the pics but I’d reckon more cardigan-y if I had to guess
My lambswool turtle necks are on the thinner side for wool sweaters
Not sure if they have updated the thickness though, mine are 6 years old
feels like a sweater
Any pieces that stood out in person?
last year's uniqlo u lambswool sweater was nice and thick
this looks thinner for sure

Most stuff pretty whelming in person but the belted cords and the lil cap with the ear flaps looked nicer irl than the pics.
Got the cords
Yeah I just went..pretty underwhelming imo. Utility shirt looked decent but they didn’t have my size
feels more like a sweater. I went into UNIQLO today
snagged these for lazy lounging in fall
Unfortunate, was hoping it was a little thicker. Thanks everyone for the insight 🫡
What are thoughts on the mini shoulder bags? They’re currently on sale in Australia
I like the new U line bags better
I think that the only things I’m tempted by are the utility shirt and the wool jacket/cardigan
More so the former than the latter
I’d have probably gone for some long sleeve tees but…airism seems an odd choice for FW, no?
Also I'm so fucking sick of how easily airism stains
Random spot of moisture that's not 100% distilled water? Say hello to a new stain
Oh that’s not good - considering I’d have opted for lighter colours
Shame they didn’t bring back their U long sleeve tees from previous years
(Even if I ended up removing the pocket on them)
Which one is that?
yea I have 7 of these airism tees. So much regret :Harold:
One of lighter colors even has a big ass stain all over the front. Absolutely no clue where it came from because I never use bleach and wash with very gentle, unscented, undyed detergent
If you look online (reviews on the site and comments on /r/uniqlo), lots of other people have this same problem too.

I don’t think they’re available here yet
Know you probably made up your mind already but figured I would share anyway while I am here
What was your impression of the overshirt? I've been eyeing it.
I was pretty neutral on it. I think it could be nice on sale but I personally don’t love the style and would not buy it at full price
I plan to replace my old winter coat with a Uniqlo option; does anybody have good/bad experience with their options for winter coats/jackets?
Last time they had the winter range I should’ve gotten this
Appreciate it! At $89 CAD I shall wait for a sale and maybe pull the trigger.
i had an ultrawarm parka for years. it was really durable, almost too warm sometimes though. only replaced it because i gained weight.
Thanks for the input. I only need it when I visit family in winter so it’ll probably last me years then
I’ll probably get it in black, or maybe olive green?

oh wait they have the Ultra Warm Hybrid Down Coat in navy. Reminds me of Han Solo's coat from Empire Strikes Back. I might go for that
Pretty meh collection. That diamond stitch pattern they used for everything is not particularly interesting.
Shame they didn’t do any tailored jackets this season
I lived in one of their parkas for like 5 years every UK winter. Good stuff, especially at the price.
Awesome. UK winter is the main weather it’ll experience

aren't these the usual seasonal drops
Apparently another white mountaineering collab later in the year too
I haven’t seen much discussion of the knitted T-shirt and Polo from the U selection Uniqlo U Knitted T-Shirt https://www.uniqlo.com/au/en/products/E464857-000?colorCode=COL69&sizeCode=SMA004&utm_medium=social&utm_source=appshare
They seem nice but they are half polyester
Could be nice office workwear
Material mix on most of these pieces looks pretty bad. C was bad too. Uniqlo U had some nice pieces I thought
I picked this up and think it's quite nice actually. This, the corduroy climbing pants, and the women's coating long coat in brown were all very good pieces that were worth grabbing in my opinion
I will say, for whatever reason uniqlos black wool pieces always look cheaper to me. I liked the "green" (looks grey) and the brown wool cardigans better than the black, and grabbed the green for myself
What size did you get the cord pants in and can you measure the front rise? I know Uniqlo has garment measurements on their site but they're not always accurate
I usually wear 31" waist and got mediums. They fit me well. I could probably fit into the Smalls my partner got as well. Like gramicci, they are quite forgiving.
I'll measure the rise this afternoon when I free up! I usually like a natural slightly high rise and was quite happy with these. There's enough room in them that that could be worn at different points on the waist though.
The rear pockets on these corduroy are wonderful and are more military inspired. They are quite flattering despite the fact that they have the adjustable waist
In fact my partner saw me wearing them and immediately went to find a pair in her size. They look great
I've not bought from uniqlo or mall brands in years and this collection was a pleasant surprise to me. I have some old uniqlo x lemaire and uniqlo u pieces I still wear though and they pair well with the new pieces. The mainline lemaire stuff I have of course works well with everything too
1 week until Im living in a Qlo city again 👕👖
:PatBless:
yea I'm just curious about the front rise so I'll wait on the "real" measurements
13" front rise
Trying to send a photo but bad at discord
You can wear them higher or lower pretty easily though because of how adjustable the waist is
There should be a + symbol to upload media when you start a message :batmanHmm:
But thanks! Looks like I'll get them in medium then. Was afraid I'd have to try large too for a longer front rise
I don't have a Uniqlo near me so ordering (and returning) online is annoying
There it is
Somehow I was missing a step to select the photo I just added... dunno
But I think you'll be happy with them. I can already see myself wearing them heavily this season. Very relaxed and comfortable but somehow look more polished than they have any right to
I do have a uniqlo in my city but I don't think a lot of the U stuff is distributed evenly
So I also bet on online ordering. Mostly everything turned out well but some sizing oddities, especially for two pieces I tried from the women's collection
:pepeClap:
sweet, thanks so much!
I've been neeeding a pair of brown trousers so I guess these will be it
Hope they work for you!
the measurements on their website say 12" but in the pics they look higher rise than 12 so I figured I'd double check
what colors did you guys get? Grey and?
I ordered the grey, my partner ordered the brown. Hers haven't come in yet actually
The colors on everything I ordered were so rich and beautiful though. It's maybe what surprised me the most about the U line this year
damn, now I really wish I had a Uniqlo near me :Sadge:
Any other highlights? I know you mentioned the cord pants and coating long coat
I liked the mens lambswool knit jacket (whatever it is called) quite a bit. There are some good videos of folks styling things I looked through before ordering. 100% wool, feels substantial. I have to imagine it's a low margin item for uniqlo. If it didn't have the tag I wouldn't have guessed it was a uniqlo item
The coating long coat is really so cool. The brown looks more maroonish/purple and it is similar to a few mainline lemaire pieces I've seen. The cut actually strikes me as more masculine than the men's overcoat in some ways
I liked the lyocell drape shirt but they are simple. Very oversized, but have a really elegant drape

Just an example - this has most of the pieces I liked. The beige cords he got look cool but I don't need more beige fall/winter pants
I pretty much never order from uniqlo anymore so I did not expect to like these pieces as much as I did
Compared to their other recent collaborations I think the materials are quite good too
Yea I hate airism and polyester stuff in general so I haven't found much to buy from uniqlo recently
100% cotton on the cord climbing pants though :Pog:
Same here. Fine with it in outerwear of course within reason
The cords are so good
I'll watch this video here in a bit. Most of the YouTube videos I've seen were just bad and/or annoying.
I don't like the personalities
But it's useful to see them actually in motion beyond the stock photos
One of them is like "trying on Uniqlo U fw24!!!"
"Actually I found most pieces boring so I only picked up two items so that's it"
Ha
Like bruh
I am pretty sure I saw that one
Then another where he films himself with a bright window right behind him
So you can't see any of the details or colors when he tries them on
I regret giving them my clicks
Ha. I liked this video for the pieces he selected (some of my favorite ones) and the very end shows him styling them a few different ways with some of his other attire so you can see how they're incorporated outside of U items
In person viewing would have been ideal of course but not always an option
3 minutes in and this is already better than the other Uniqlo U FW24 videos I watched
damn the beige cord pants do look real nice
I wish the belt was black though
thanks for the link btw. This guy is great
Hi does anyone know the sizing for the drape shirt from U? Should I be sizing down? Just bit concerned about sleeves length
They seem to have restocked some of the U line.
Or at least the wool cardigan/jacket was out of stock in my size but I’ve since been able to order it 🙌
Sizing is pretty oversized overall, particularly length (at my standard size the shirt drops down to the lower half of my butt). But the exception is sleeve length, it’s normal on me
Thanks bro! I assume you ended up with true size and it fit just perfect?
It's very oversized. If you're comfortable with that, keep true to size. If not, you could get away with going down a size.
I went tts and enjoy the fit
I'll say, it's probably the biggest and baggiest shirt that I own right now and is pushing the boundaries of my comfort level with bagginess but it drapes so nicely that I'm okay with it
The U Lambswool Knit Jacket arrived.
First impressions are that it’s nice, I like the boxy fit.
It’s defo more of a cardigan/light jacket than something bulkier though.
It's a good mid-weight cardigan but definitely not a heavy wool jacket or anything
I love mine, but the only concern I have is I think they're using a shorter fiber wool which means it's prone to shedding and may not be quite as durable. TBD. Still very good quality for the price and the fit is great
@rawbert-oh you're absolutely right about the corduroy pants. Holy fuck they're nice, especially for $50.
I got the brown in M and beige in L, and I hate that I love both the colors
Nicest pants I've seen from Uniqlo, honestly. And the colors are rich just as you described
Stopped by the mall during lunch and saw the Insane line for uniqlo opening - saw a guy walk out with just a pair of khakis after he must have waited an hour lol
@001anthony glad you like them! They are really nice. I have a few pairs of mainline Lemaire trousers and can say if Lemaire released a similar pair, I don't think they would be much higher quality than these ones. They're a steal and I feel like folks are overlooking them because they have a Uniqlo tag.
I wish I snagged the beige too but I just can't allow myself to have more light winter pants. However, my partner grabbed a brown pair after she saw my charcoal ones, and I can easily fit in those too. Not so bad
yea the beige looks nothing like the official pics on the site. It's more grey-ish in person and is exactly the color I've been looking for.
I wish the belt were designed better (it's too short and has no give so putting the pants on and taking them off can be a bit cumbersome), but the 100% cotton wide wale corduroy looks and feels great.
I think the gramicci clasp is definitely better designed in comparison, yeah
Do the pants have a zip fly?
yes
but you have to undo the belt almost entirely if you have big thighs
I'll just say for me it's not a problem, but I could imagine it being a problem for body shapes that are different than mine

Does anybody know how long the collab stuff will stick around in store for? I'm visiting Japan in January and will try to wait until then to do some spending
The Marimekko stuff from summer sold out fast iirc
Popped in Uniqlo after not being in their stores in ages, saw they had Snoopy sweatshirts, I want one now
Should i go TTS with uniqlo u lambswool knit jacket or should i size up?
Look at the measurements online and go from there - it could go either way but really depends on how you want it to fit
If anything U traditionally fits big. Agree to check measurements but I would probably not recommend sizing up.
I have this sweater and fwiw I went tts but think it would also look cool sizing up and have seen folks do this for this specific sweater
Usually u is oversized, but less so for this piece in particular
I stand corrected! My bad.
How’s the quality on soufflé yarn? Thinking of buying the zip up from jwa collab
I checked sizing and i think sizing up will fit better but confused by official models sizing ngl
Also i have lambswool sweater from last season and i think i could have easily sized it up
Here's another data point for you then. I am wearing a (US) medium in this photo. I'm 5'10 with a 40" chest. I probably wear a medium in tops 80% of the time, and sometimes go up to large (especially if it's short sleeved)
You'll be fine going tts but I think a more oversized look here would help it look less structured too. Depends on the fit you want
Oh thanks. That definitely helped. I will try to size up
Did any of u tried uniqlo c wide sweat pants?
Also what about this marimekko piece
You should check r/Uniqlo. The C wide sweatpants are very popular there
The sales today are mostly the same as the ones last week 😦
I was hoping tshirts, jeans and dress clothes would go on sale but I guess I'll just pick some of them up now anyway
I think I’m tempted by the utility blouson- maybe in the olive
(Wish they did a navy version…)
Pretty sure they did navy in the past, could try looking second hand
Muji also has a navy one this year
https://www.muji.us/collections/mens-outerwear/products/mens-water-repellent-corduroy-collar-jacket-ac1vj24a?variant=44236412190910
MUJI USA
Men's Water Repellent Corduroy Collar JacketDark Navy / S
This water repellent jacket can be worn for all seasons, inspired by traditional Japanese straw rainwear. Features large pockets for convenience and a soft corduroy collar that can be worn folded down or standing up for protection. It has enough room that you can comfortably layer it over hoodies or sweaters.
Ooo the Muji suggestion looks interesting - alas it’s out of stock in my size.
I couldn’t find a Navy one on eBay - outside of the U line, which I’m not as big a fan of.
I think I may opt for the olive - was briefly tempted by the 34 Brown but I suspect it’s probably a bit too light for my taste
The 2023 brown edition was a bit darker than expected in real life, but I really dig the color when wearing it
Yeah, I got the impression from looking at the 34 brown (2024) that it may be a similar case there - a few of the StyleHint photos certainly looked that way
I have opted for the olive though. My hesitancy was that I have a lot of olive stuff already, but….i like olive so why not 😂
If you don't mind me asking, what's the appeal with olive color matching wise? I'd rather wear it in bottoms than tops and I really giving it a chance for garments such as 2022's U bomber jacket
In terms of my comment about my hesitancy due to having a lot of olive stuff?
Oh tbh I just felt that if I was to pick up another jacket, it may be worth diversifying a bit - but that’s just me overthinking 😂
You'd be right thinking that
Similiar color, but vastly different styles is fine too
Received the Utility Short Blouson - I do like the olive colour.
It's defo a bit oversized in the arms, but I don't mind that - especially if I'm primarily going to wear it over jumpers
It's marked as 'hand wash only' which is a tiny bit off-putting (although this is advertised on the store), and I suspect that's maybe due to the poly sleeve lining.
It feels solid though - I hope I'll get a lot of use out of it.
I got used to the oversized fit which is something I'm increasingly thankful as a whole for layering, but this jacket might fall short for temperatures around 0*C
What're people's thoughts on the selvedge jeans? I bought a pair in black and navy. They fit well in the dressing room, debating whether to keep them or not
Reasonably priced. Nothing special. If they fit you good hard to get better for that kind of money with very limited exceptions.
I just need decent jeans 😭 I've given up on Levi. I don't wear jeans enough to actually spend good money on a pair
I liked how they looked and fit on me so that's something
I'd get some if they were athletic fit friendly
Which would be your most worn kind of pants
I wanted a pair of black pants for awhile, so I'd be wearing the Uniqlo pants quite a bit. I have a pair of Levi that I'm not thrilled on the fit so they might get worn less and less
I run 60k a week on a good week and they fit fine?
I meant thighs size
The selvedge ones are usually slim fitting
The ones I had were straight leg but I get what you mean. I just bought some uniqlo denim parachute pants that look wide as fuck from the pic, might be worth a look
My American monkey brain thought 60,000 miles of first blush
