Oxford More Tolerable Than Broadcloth in Humid Weather?
So I was buying some shirts in Uniqlo during one of their sales when I happened to purchase 1 Oxford shirt and 1 of their Extra Fine Broadcloth shirts. I'd assume that the broadcloth would fare better in hot, humid weather due to their weave and to check this, I did the "light test" (place a shirt/jacket over light and see how "see-through" it is) and it passed. So I wore both shirts within the same week of hot, humid weather and I noticed that, even though the Oxford was a thicker, heftier fabric, I sweat less in it that the broadcloth one! I actually don't get this one. Anyone has the same experience?

"Relaxed" Replacement For Black Oxford Shoes
Since dress codes have relaxed significantly nowadays, I actually wonder, does the black oxford shoe still has a place on an everyman's wardrobe? Or is there a "new" replacement for it. Pondered about it since people barely wear suits and most formal gatherings that I've been into, some form of brown derby shoe seems to dominate the event.

Sweater Vests and Knit Waistcoats Being More "Acceptable" Than Waistcoats
Been looking to spice up my shirt wardrobe when I came across sweater vests, knitted waistcoats, and even some workwear vests. I noticed through some of the comments of the images that they look more "acceptable" both in menswear circles and out in public. The comments and mood change however when you start trying to wear a waistcoat on its own. So I'm curious, how come waistcoats are "less accepted" but they basically function and somewhat fulfill the same role of a sweater vest or knitted waistcoat? Also, if you were to attempt wearing just the waistcoat alone, how would make it more "acceptable"?

Buying Clothes While Hefty
Yup, I'm aware that the holidays are approaching and everyone gets hefty during those days, however, in my case, I slowly gained 30 lbs within this year (not allnof it is fat thankfully but still) and around 80% of my wardrobe, especially my pants, are unwearable. I'm currently trying to do something about it and I'm actually trying to put-off buying clothes until I lose the weight, however, what's the group's advice on this since I barely have any wearable clothes left? I was thinking of copping pants first but I'm worried once I lose weight, I can't alter them to the point that they would fit my new physique well.

Having a Different Kind of Top or Bottom With the Same Color?
So I'm currently trying to declutter my wardrobe and restarting it to form a capsule wardrobe. I bought a light blue linen shirt to start out things since I live in a humid country and light blue is the most versatile color in a shirt (from what I know), however, I've read somewhere that the ultimate versatile shirt would be an Oxford light blue one. Now I feel like I bought the wrong shirt...or did I? So I was wondering, should I still go for an Oxford light blue shirt even though I have a light blue linen button-up shirt? Also, anyone here has multiple variations of the same color of a top or bottom (variation could be in the form of material, weave, or if it's a long or short version of a top or bottom)? I kinda feel like there should just be one color of a certain item, hence I'm asking this one.

Casual to Smart Casual Suit or Blazer/Sport Coat Inspo?
So I got inspired to incorporate a suit or at least a blazer in my daily attire from this article, https://journal.styleforum.net/the-versatile-casual-navy-suit/. Is there an inspo album that expands more on this plus with other suit colors as well? Would like to see inspo albums as well wherein a blazer or sport coat is used within the spectrum of casual to smart casual dress code.

Poplin Weave Not Cutting It In Humid Weather?
So I bought this Uniqlo U oversized shirt in cream thinking it would be a gread addition in my collection. Seeing as how it passes the light test for breathability and it's in a poplin weave, I'd assume it would be great in my very humid country. Turns out, even in cooler weather, I end up sweating in it a lot! Am I missing something regarding poplin or is it not really a good weave for humid weather?
