distant horizons not loading
when i spawn in it just doesent start rendering and if it does its gets very laggy and alot of weird looking terrains
Refuses to create or load chunks
It's like in the multiplayer where's you have to go to a chunk for it to be loaded.
CPU usage dropping?
Im using the latest nightly build, I have a seed rendering in singleplayer to export for a server later. When I start distant generation it works with my CPU at 100% usage, but after about an hour or so it drops down to 10% and the ingame time grows exponentially
Weird areas of chunks not loading in.
I have tried changing my CPU load to aggressive. No change. Very distant chunks will load just fine but it's not wanting to load these ones for some reason.

Clarification Regarding 2.3 Client/Server communication
Hello,
I believe I'm confused regarding how DH client/server communication is supposed to work for multiplayer.
My understanding is that if my client has a view distance of 1000 chunks, but the server has only generated a distance of 30, that my client will request DH on the server to generate those chunks and update the client's LODs....
Solution:
World generation in general is quite slow, if you want to speed it up:
Install Noisium and Lithium, these mods can improve generation speed by a couple percent.
Make sure to remove the C2ME mod as it significantly slows down DH chunk generation by up to 35%.
Increase
CPU Load
in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
...Super reflective water with bliss
does anyone know how to fix this? whenever I step down to y = 65, all the water below me turns super reflective, its really annoying. I recently updated dh from 2.1.2-a to the latest one and that's what caused it. it only happens when dh is enabled and i messed with the shaders' water settings but couldn't fix it. v 1.20.1 fabric
floating pillars of terrain in the sky
Does anybody know how to fix this? first let me provide some context, I am 90% sure that this was caused by the shattered world limits mod. i installed the mod along with distant horizons and it technically "worked" as in my game didn't crash while loading in but it caused distant horizon LODs to not load and so I ended up disabling SWL and later deleting it (which obviously didn't fix the problem). After disabling it I loaded back into the world and noticed the DH LODs load again but those pill...
Solution:
if you dont care about your LODs, you can delete them then regenerate them by deleting the sqlite file:

DH using too much RAM
My DH is using 100% out of the 12GB of RAM allocated to MC. I tried lowering the distance to 128, tried setting the quality to minimum but it still uses 100%. Is there something I can do?
Solution:
what about the release candidate that was just released in #announcements ?

LODs keep reloading in outward waves
Opening a Singleplayer world I pregenerate with chunky, then notice after coming back to it that the LODS keep reloading, spreading out like a wave, centered on the player. the waves only go out to a certain radius before leaving a patchwork of hole at the edge. I've gone through settings hoping to fix it and opened then closed the game as well as enabling and disabling different mods, before resorting to the discord. decent system terrible FPS
I have a RTX 3070, 32GB of DDR4 Ram and a I5 12400F and I am barely getting 20 fps when standing still.
Distant Generation Time
Is this value/time required normal? I was using chunky before but it was creating issues so I removed it and turned distant generation on and was prompted with this.
Solution:
Chunky generates real chunks and saves those next to all other real chunks, so not really. But you can try trimming the world with MCA selector

Is there a way to control the distance at which grass/plants (and only grass/plants) get culled?
An issue i have at the moment is that even though i have relatively large DH render distance for terrain, the pop-in from things like grass etc is very noticeable, and kinda becomes annoying. I tried changing quality settings for DH but even extreme still culls grass at same distance.
Is there a way to either make it cull grass/plants further away?

Won't load on paper server
I tried adding the latest nightly build on my paper server but I get an error when loading. Note that I've never run it on my server before.

Error between real chunks and DH chunks
Hi, I'm having this annoying white line where DH chunks and real chunks meets, can't find a way to fix it. Does anyone knows?
Solution:
Found the issue. It was a mod called fog overrides. Didn't even remember I had it installed. Removing it solved the problem

Visual artifacts while using DH with Bliss Shaders
This array of nothingness moves with my camera. In between the DH chunks and normal chunks, there is always this blank thing. Also, I am using the latest version of DH on curse forge with the latest version of bliss from the GitHub page.

LODs disappear in the singleplayer worlds generated by Arnis
All of pre-generated LODs outside my render distance are rendered correctly, but once I've been there and then left, most of them are replaced with air.
I only noticed this problem with flat worlds. DH works fine with the default type worlds.

Sky Artifacts and Shaders only applying to vanilla render distance. Over Multiple Shaders
Hello, I've read the the FAQ but I'm not sue any of the questions directly relate to what I'm observing. Simply put my shaders only seem to work out to my render distance and I'm experiencing artifacting in the skybox.
