When clothes are a little see through
I've really liked this for my undershirt. Deep enough V that I can wear it without the collar showing, long enough to tuck comfortably, and a good match to my (white person's) skin.

Polo Ralph Lauren
I have a couple Blake shirts, really like them for the billowy/ looser fit. But they tend to have shorter collars/ little collar roll.
Any other PRL button down cuts I could look at similar to Blakes but better collars? I'm fine with them being slimmer cuts than Blakes so long as it's not a slim fit.

Any good tutorials to tie a bow tie?
It is quite similar to tying shoes, which is my best advice to keep in mind.
Have one side a little longer than the ither. First cross the longer side over the other and bring and up the back (tying shoes step 1), create the bow of one side (tying shoes step 2), then wrap the end from step 1 around the bow you made and push it through the gap. You are pushing the fabric through as a bow, it will come through a bit messy but you adjust it once it's through.
The last part might take a couple of attempts because you often need to loosen a gap in the fabric.

Cold Weather Clothing - Topic of the day 1/29/25
Thanks everyone. Going to spend some time first looking for one with a separate liner so I have options for wearing it. Prefer something more versatile like this due to my climate.

I'm going to search for a trench with a similar lining. Jacket and liner are both cute!

Cold Weather Clothing - Topic of the day 1/29/25
Day to day, just having layers with the right fabrics (wool, fleece). My style doesn't change much, if anything I like it more as I can wear more layers. I run hot, so I much prefer my style in the Fall/ Winter/ Spring.
But it gets really cold sometimes here so having tech gear/ parka/ puffer is necessary for some days in general, and specifically for doing outdoor activities and sports - where I don't give a shit about being fashionable.

Boot sock recommendations
Point6 and DT are where I mostly buy boot socks, finding a popping color is hit or miss on available patterns/ colors. I use them more functionally than aesthetically (Fall/ Winter sports).
I'll also plug a local (to me) wool mill with high quality products: https://www.faribaultmill.com/collections/socks

Pants rise - Topic of the day 1/22/25
Love high rise, but as someone who is taller with a longer torso it can be hard to find. 12.5" is now my minimum and that's a mid rise, just below the naval.

Sunfaded Chambrays
I feel like the shirt I posted today in WAYWT might have the type of fade you are looking for. It's a 90s PRL Blake chambray. It was like $20 NWT on eBay.

Making it work: a slightly mis-sized blazer
Ok, good to hear from both of you. Time to find a new tailor.
Back to your post, I definitely think you can work with this jacket. Especially if you're open to not buttoning it.

Making it work: a slightly mis-sized blazer
Last time I thought about removing the shoulders my tailor talked me out of it based on the cost/ complexity/ risk.
