I finally got a beeg coat and it's incredible I also landed some bright knitwear that I've been thinking about for a while and I love the colors I can work with now

Same, great piece of clothing. I think next winter a second coat that’s both longer hopefully almost floor length and double breasted with big lapels is on my list of wants

Ah the beginning of winter I bought some orange wide fit corduroys from Uniqlo and basically lived in them for the rest of the winter Also the 4 wool midi skirts I got for Christmas really influenced my style because I tried to style them as many different ways as possible But sadly winter here was suuper short and warm so I didn‘t get to wear a lot of my pieces as often as I‘d liked, especially my Moonboots

it was the warmest winter on record worldwide but one of the coldest in recent times at peak as well where I am turns out I can just wear a long sleeve tee, my iron heart lined denim jacket, longjohns, two pairs of smartwool socks, and iron heart jeans, and that's a complete and sufficient winter outfit somehow durable into the upper teens I guess I'm never getting a winter coat again

we've had a string of short, mild winters until this one actually had snow on the ground for most of it

this was the first winter where I didn't really wear any down jackets/parkas because I got 3 wool coats, which were heavier but looked better. wool long johns and socks were also great

this was my first winter where i was actually fashion conscious and feel i executed it well. think my highlights were some nice new shirts and jumpers which i can use to transition into spring too bean boots also a plus

It’s a testament to your swag that I didn’t even know you wear so much Iron Heart because you don’t dress like the typical IH guy

second winter for me but it’s been such a game changer to layer instead of wearing a huge parka!!! parkas can look cool but mine did not

I wore big puma coat basically every time I left the house, and felt it kind of warp how I dress really noticeably in a way I really enjoyed Definitely felt like a sort of “set bonus” type thing to finally make ivy make sense on me

This winter was awesome for me. No crazy creative fits, but I really hit my stride honing in on things that fit me (in both size and style) and getting comfortable wearing ties and stuff whenever I want. I overbought a lot in the summer, but I’ve learned to be much more discerning. I enjoy getting dressed now! Which is an improvement from most any other time in my life I don’t know what I’m going to do when I can’t wear a wool jacket and corduroys everyday though…

this winter has been a year since joining mfad and while the weather made it difficult often (snow that took three weeks to thaw :nooooo: ) i managed a nice mix of both trying new things and narrowing my focus on stuff probably the most notable things were getting rid of the baggage i had with wearing tailoring and embracing clothes that weren't vintage or dirt cheap at goodwill. it really solidified the idea that i want to find and wear things that suit me or inspire me

i bought too many coats / warm jackets over the last couple years for where i live, so i took this winter to try rotating through as many of them as possible. really gave me a better idea for how many my closet & life could actually sustain and also sort of cured me of my need to acquire more heavy coats (as im sure all clothing addicts say)

This was a HUGE winter up here in terms of snow. The main three expansions to my wardrobe was this wonderfully warm down jacket from Zanter, this suede-shearling jacket I thrifted, and these chromexcel roper boots from Bristelback Bootmaker. Very happy with all three pieces, but appearance and performance. Like all my shopping these days, each purchase was about filling a hole, functional or aesthetic, where there was a gap in my current wardrobe.

My first Winter on the discord. Really appreciated the inspo from many users here. ALMOST sad to have Winter ending because I love wearing sweaters, layers, and tailoring as well as wool trousers and cords. As someone who runs hot it's a great season for all of the wardrobe possibilities!

In terms of dressing, it was the first season I decided to actually pay attention to what I was putting on. Went through a mild wardrobe overhaul, kicked the skinny/slim pants to the curb, and starting putting that shit on with intention. Still in the beginning stages of figuring it all out, but honestly am happy with my progress so far! Been a good winter, and this discord has been super helpful in terms of finding inspiration, motivation, and feedback!
