Examples of deconstructing clothes to repurpose the fabric?
Came across a pair of pants thrifting yesterday that were made of this gorgeous flecked tweed. The fit and cut were terrible, but I woke up this morning still thinking about how sick that fabric was.
Now my head is full of ways you might cut the seams open and use the fabric for something else. Anyone here done this? Or have pics of other people doing it? Just feeding my curiosity here…

Attn: Australians— advice on op shops/thrifting in Sydney?
(I know there’s a thrifting thread, but I figured this was a question specific enough for this channel.)
Thrifting in the US usually means pouring through huge racks of clothes for hours, which I actually enjoy. I’m visiting western Sydney for the month and just went to a Salvos and Vinnies to find both were very small and boutiquey. Is this the norm here? Do you have any op shops you recommend? Or alternatives? Thanks!

Do these pants have enough rise to tuck shirts into?
I am 6’3” and when I tuck in my shirts, most pants will barely come up to the last button on the shirt, and it just feels too low. Does it look off or is it just me?
If so, could you recommend some higher rise chinos <$100? Thanks! (Btw the shirt is brand new and thus very wrinkly.)
