I know right What do we think the sweaters will go fot?
burningtree
burningtreeOP7mo ago
V neck sweaters probably 200 based on last year. Turtlenecks id guess 225ish. Johnny collar long sleeve maybe 180?

casatlantic isnt for me but everything they make is gorgeous i wanted their shades for a long time
Playwright

Does it seem like they added wool to their trouser lineup?
Yakkeks
Yakkeks7mo ago
On second look it might be - some of those drape surprisingly well
Talbot
Talbot7mo ago
God i wish they'd open it up to look at the items themselves so you can figure out what size to get, material, and all that
Playwright
Playwright6mo ago
Nathaniel asseraf teased “lots of wool” on his IG this AM so I’m thinking yes on trousers too! Always thought they needed some fabrics that drape like their linen does so well
Talbot
Talbot6mo ago
Some of them definitely look like flannel I wish they'd do those coats lol
Yakkeks
Yakkeks6mo ago
They are wool pants
Yakkeks
Yakkeks6mo ago
Fuck the houndstooth ones look nice

Not a fan of the navy flannel though. Drapes weirdly on the pics imo I think the houndstooth trousers and the full zip cardigans are my personal highlight. Not that im getting anything rn, but still. Uhh. And they have wool shirts Thats admittedly pretty fun
burningtree
burningtreeOP6mo ago
I grabbed the wheat Meknes sweater (it flew), yellow wool shirt, Tuareg blue wool zip up jacket, hazel turtleneck, oat watch cap, and cream polo. Love the flannel trousers but the colors don’t work for me. I agree that the drape on the navy looks oddly weird.
Yakkeks
Yakkeks6mo ago
Oh wow, thats a cop and a half lol I think the houndstooth is not flannel but some other kind of woolen weave Which would explain why it drapes differently
burningtree
burningtreeOP6mo ago
It was a little excessive haha, but this is one of my favorite brands, and they only do a couple of drops a year. I definitely don’t have a problem…
Yakkeks
Yakkeks6mo ago
I mean they really have a coherent aesthetic, so it makes sense - I have by now realized that its not my aesthetic, because im really not a chino or polo guy, but damn these wool trousers speak to me.
burningtree
burningtreeOP6mo ago
For me I also hate most polos like the typical modern business casual style. Casatlantic polos are some of the few that I actually like. I think that it’s bc these polos are more casual and elegant by dropping the typical style of buttons and adding the knit weave.

I was checking out the camp shirt sleeve length and just wanted to ask do their sleeves generally run short?

I really wish they sold matching jackets for their pants they even tease them in their lookbooks sometimes

I ended up going in on a massive haul myself. I got the navy wool trousers to try so I’ll report back on drape. I got the wool shirt, cream turtleneck, navy knit polo and navy v sweater. I don’t intend to keep it all but I’ll report back on my perspectives!
burningtree
burningtreeOP6mo ago
True to size in my experience
Playwright
Playwright6mo ago
My thoughts: I don’t like the Nador turtleneck enough to keep it. The knits seem longer in the torso than they used to be which is a slight negative to me, however I feel I can sit them at my waist just fine. The officer shirt might be a little tight and I’m inclined to try a large. The tangers may feel a little slimmer because of the thickness of the fabric, im tempted to size up but a little worried about the waist size. I do feel they will drape well with more room and they did decently as is for anyone on the fence! Meknes and Assilah are so versatile and great, I much enjoy! Keeping those, and possibly an officer shirt/tanger in wool pending sizing. I’m a huge Stan for this brand and own many pieces so happy to answer questions Trouser drape example. It’s just too tight on my butt and a little slimmer around the thighs than my linen pairs

I’m a 42 chest and take M in all knits, 30 waist/24 inch thighs and normally TTS with tanger but trying a 32 in this fabric. I tried a M in the shirt with 42 chest and might be a tad slim so curious what the L feels like.

Getting my package on Monday, will update y’all then ❤️

Alright y’all here it is. I’m 5’11”, 180 pounds, muscular, prefer size medium in most brands, 40-42 in suit jackets. All of these pieces are size medium. Agafay soleil yelllow - this is more green yellow/mustard in person. Their studio lighting makes it look brighter yellow. I didn’t even try it on bc I don’t like the color. Khenifra Tuareg Blue - hefty knit wool in an uncommon shade of blue (true to the online pics). The jacket is TTS with a bit of extra room in the sleeves for layering. Love it. Nador hazel - chunky and warm knit. The color is a bit darker than online but the correct shade. The sweater isn’t quite as short as a true cropped sweater should be (like another commenter said), but you can still make it work. Meknes wheat - true to size and color. A bit slimmer fitting in the chest than the sweaters, but I think that that is intentional and appropriate. Love it. Assilah- fits great in the shoulders and chest. The flower petal collar is a bit odd but I like it. The pocket placement as you can see is problematic. I’m not sure if it’s bc of my pecs, but the pocket looks uneven. Honestly I think that it ruins it for me, which is too bad bc it’s a beautiful piece otherwise. Overall very solid, but they should work on representing the colors a bit more accurately and work on details like the shirt pocket placement. Growing pains I suppose. Still I love this brand. I’m keeping 2/5 pieces I think.

Man I juuuuuusttttt ordered some olive trousers earlier this week, or I'd have gotten those linen ones. I love my navy tangers. They are perfect
Playwright

I have 24 inch thighs and wear the 30. The thigh width is about 14 inches so plenty of room for me. Measure a pair of pants you like and know at worst it’s going to be 14 inches across (28 total)
bucciarati

Thanks for the suggestion :blushcatto: ps: we have the same measurements

I mean the price for them was pretty competitive. 450€ is pretty cheap. based on how fast they sold out i would guess this also was a low quantity testing-the-waters run.

If they return I might cop it, I'd love a lightweight db blazer :sheeesh:

The seersucker was gone when I logged in at 5am eastern So gone in like two hours

You gotta wake up at 3am eastern if you want the hottest pieces. The knit zip up jacket from last season sold out so fast.
Talbot
Talbot2w ago
So were the green linen trousers I only wanted that navy knit shirt
Strooz

They still have these in stock. At least they did yesterday in all sizes.

did you guys find any fit pics with the new shorts? They seem cool but can't find any fit pics
burningtree
burningtreeOP2w ago
These are the El Jadida shorts size 32” from last year. I think that the shorts are a restock. I’ve got big thighs, so they’re a little tight on me, but they still work.

My pickups this season, both size medium (I’m 5’11” 185, muscular) Zagora Ecru Cotton Quarter Zip Sweater - this has the appropriate thickness and breath ability for a midweight cotton pullover. Seems like it will be good for transitional weather. The pocket placement is still a bit low for my preference, but it’s better aligned than the LS knit polo pocket from FW24. Anfa Panna Rib Knit Polo - color is more like a light pastel banana or peach yellow. The fabric is a thin cotton that will be perfect for warm weather. I love it. Both garments are TTS when compared to Casatlantic pieces from previous season. Neither garment is truly cropped in length, but both should pair well with high rise trousers. Both are W’s imo.

Nipun Talwar
Nipun Talwar2w ago
Is there any shrinkage on any of their cotton pants when washed/dried?
burningtree
burningtreeOP2w ago
Essentially no shrinkage if you do a cold soak/cold delicate wash cycle and air dry
Playwright
Playwright2w ago
Man I got the same thing, M anfa in navy and M zagora in grey. I tried the linen suit jacket but it was extremely small. Should’ve checked the shoulder measurements on the 52 but I’m not even sure a 54 would fit me. I wear a 52 in anthology and the 52 anthology is larger than the 54 casa in the shoulders. Shame because it really does match my trousers from last year perfectly. Mustve been from same roll of fabric
burningtree
burningtreeOP2w ago
It's always the jacket shoulder measurements that screw up the fit!
Playwright
Playwright2w ago
For sure. After many orders I’m solidly a M in knits, L in shirts from casa as well. I measure a 42 inch chest and weigh 165
Nipun Talwar
Nipun Talwar2w ago
What if I want an inch shrinkage in the length and about half that in the waist?
burningtree
burningtreeOP2w ago
Yep I can fit medium or large shirts based on the brand, but my US jacket size is 42 which is technically XL I guess
Gombi
Gombi2w ago
I was an idiot and didn‘t immediately buy the trousers too, but what do we think? I‘m not really used to DB jackets, so not sure whether the fit is right.

Excellent fit! Nice man! Could get waist cinched a bit by tailor and it would be perfect
Gombi
Gombi2w ago
Thanks guys, I appreciate it! Will talk to a tailor about the waist, I need to get the sleeves shortened anyways.
Yakkeks
Yakkeks2w ago
sleeves look fine to me. Your gonna loose a bit of lenghth anyway from the wrinkling on the sleeves.
Gombi
Gombi2w ago
I forgot to mention that I cuffed them inwards for the picture but good tip about the wrinkling. I will try to account for that.
burningtree
burningtreeOP2w ago
No idea, you could try a hot soak. But you’d probably need to get them tailored to make it worth it
Playwright
Playwright2w ago
Agree. Generally some light shrinkage with a cold wash and low heat dry could happen but it’s a crapshoot. Based on the amount you’re seeking I think you would be safe to try
Strooz

The linen trousers arrived today! Bought the herringbone olive linen Tangers. Really beautiful fabric and well constructed. Excited to get these hemmed!
