Reebock club c works with a lot of different outfits. I prefer nb574 over the 99* styles but either works. Vans are a different vibe for older guys (like me) and both my old skool and sk8 look out of place in ways that other sneakers don't

On ebay/posh I am almost always looking for a more basic item so i find 3 or 4 that seem likely and fav/watch and wait for an offer. Sometimes I will counter. Almost never auction On posh I will often look at the sellers inventory to see if they have something to bundle

Here is where some vintage stuff might help. For instance: https://www.ebay.com/itm/285936339470 This is just an example not a recommendation. If you look at the measurments, the width is 22 3/4, which is about a L size today. (Note this is a blend so there little or no shrinkage) The length is 24 1/2, which is easily 2 to 3 inches shorter than a corresponding L. Brands differ of course
