Regular surface distortion pattern towards end of larger first layers VC4
Not long , 10-15 minutes. it is a 300. It is quite odd since this is Archimedean and on one side of the bed it is perfect and on the other it is completely messed up. I have tried microstepping offset, and still it is very bad. I have done all sorts of tuning and have flow etc. dialed in. It is just this first layer on bigger prints that keeps giving me a headache. I have had issues some time ago as well but that was somewhat sorted out after an update was released. I will now try to reset all beacon settings and calibrations and redo it all again after I installed the latest update.

Orbitool Accelorometer vs Beacon Accelorometer
No not when the toolhead is at the center and it is doing its thing. It is so odd because it was super clean when I used the EBB42, and it is so much more rigid now with the new toolhead. I think I will just leave it as it and use the beacon for now.

The toolboard and mount are not moving at all. They are super tight. Compared to the Eva toolhead and EBB42 the new toolhead, mount and board feels so much more rigid and yet I get these poor measurements on the y-axis. They are so much worse than with the old toolhead and EBB42, I really don’t get it. I have made sure that everything is as it should be, wires tied down, screws are fixed etc and still there is this major dicrepancy between the measurement with the O2 and Beacon.

Uneven first layer
The latest release of RatOS from a few days ago pretty much fixed my issues completely. Now z-axis compensates properly according to beacon scan and the ripples and inconsistencies from front to back and left to right are equalized in the first layer.

V-Core 3.1 not compensating for BED MESH profile
It is fixed!!! I retro fitted the beacon probe to my VCore 3.1, and of course did calibration of it. What I was not aware of was that I needed to do z-offset calibration. I found that part in the V4 commisioning guide. Now it is perfect. Aftermath. Although the z-offset fixed it to some extent, what really fixed it was the latest release of RatOS 2.1 where the becon functionality got an overhaul and an issue where z-offset was erased at the beginning of every print was fixed. Now z-axis compensates properly according to beacon scan and the ripples and inconsistencies from front to back and left to right are equalized in the first layer.

The mesh doesn't seem to change over time. When I redo the mesh it seems to look identical from calibration to calibration.

I wil ltry that. How many points do you think? 5x5 or more? How would I specify z-hop? In START_PRINT macro, or?

@VisualTech48 It is a V-Core 3.1. It is firmly and tight screwed together so I really don't get why it is scraping. I am not sure what to try anymore.
