Struggling to get decent print quality

I am struggling to get decent quality prints. I recently built a VCore 3.1 with beacon probe, Rapido 2 UHF and Orbiter 2. Bed mesh is decent and first layer is almost perfect besides the fact that I can't adjust z-offset after latest release of RatOS 2.1. I have tried lowering max volumetric flow, but the printer still seems to go too fast for ASA. What is the best way to throttle the printer for testing and finding the sweet spot? At the moment my prusa slicer is only using speed values for time estimates, should that be disabled so that I enter print speeds in the slicer? Just wondering if that is what is recommended for controlling speed? I am used to printing on a Prusa MK4, so I am struggling a bit with getting my VCore 3.1 setup correctly to print as good as my MK4. Any help is highly appreciated 🙂
Solution:
Definetly use the slicer for speed settings.

Thank you @SwissStar_BL_2 I will do that! Do you by any chance where to find some good configs for the vcore 3.1?

There are predefined printerconfigs in Prusa Slicer and Orca Slicer. They are a great starting point.
