bug-report

When i enable shaders, the chunks don't load but they fully do when the shader is disabled

I am using the DawnCraft mod pack via curseforge which i then install DH. I am also still loading chunks further away but i don't think that to be the problem. I saw people saying you old lighting in the advance graphic setting but it's not there. Any help would be wonderful....

2.2.1 crash when swapping from 2.1.3

Swapping from 2.1.3 server fork to 2.2.1 for a server but getting a crash when starting the game as a result. I assume from what little I can find that its likely due to the forge not having an iris 1.8 equivalent but posting this to confirm. Log is attached for more information.

How config Photon Shaders with Distant Horizons ?

Hi everyone, someone can help me ? How i config the shaders to show the distant horizon ?...

Fog between rendered chunks and LODs

I've already tried the Alex Caves fix, and I've removed the Better End Mod (I was running it through Sinytra Connector but have since deleted it) and deleted the bclib config folder. Somehow the fog still persists. I'm currently using the latest unstable release of Iris on their server and the DH file that they claim works with it. Attached images are the fog in question, my stripped down modlist, my Alex Caves config setting....

RAM allocation not being accurate?

Hey, im using distant horizons along with complimentary shaders unbound. I did some research on how much RAM i should allocate and i am allocating 12GB (out of 32GB), but task manager says that minecraft never uses more than 5GB of RAM. Is this normal or am i not using optimised settings to allow for DH to use all 12GB?

how do i fix this?

issue only shows up when distant is enabled but idk how to fix it

LODs in downloadable maps question

I want to include all the LODs in my downloadable maps and just wanted to know how to get the best quality compatibility for most people. If I build at a high quality, like very high or extreme, would that then build LODs at all lower levels so people can instantly play at lower levels? Or do I need to just pick one setting and advise people to use that too? I want people who download my maps to not have to do any LOD building themselves so they can start playing right away. Please ping with an answer. Thanks!...
Solution:
@Dannypan LODs are generated at all detail levels at the same time, so feel free to generate at any quality setting, as other people will still be able to select a high quality setting without needing to wait

a lot of server lag in singleplayer

i know that in sp there is a local server running but the lag and input delay is a bit annoying is there a setting i can change to make it so there is less lag

elongated LODs in the distance

for some reason distant LODs look elongated horizontally, is that how it is supposed to look like?

how to get my server to make distant horizons load every generated chunks? [solved]

that's all. I just don't wanna run around in creative, trying to load everything manually

blocks with snow are weird

it's a dark structure yet the slight snow on top makes it almost entirely white, is it possible to alter it so it ignores snow covered blocks? or something to make it look better
Solution:
Had the same issue, finally found a fix. Hopefully this helps! Distant Horizons configs -> Advanced Options -> Graphics -> Render Quality -> Tint With Avoided Blocks to False...

Game crashes as soon as I'm about to load in (with shaders)

Everything works fine but as I'm about to load into my game I briefly see "Saving world" then I'm met with error code 1. Im on Forge, 1.20.1, DH 2.2.0 and Im using the 1.20.1 sodium and iris indev mods from the iris discord that they have posted under unstable releases. The shader bot says to wait for iris 1.8 and sodium 0.5.8+ but Im downloading iris 1.8 and Sodium 0.6.0, Fabric api is installed and I havent even been able to test my shader (bliss) so I dont think I have an incompatible shader...

VER 1.20.1 forge incompatibilities and visual bugs

So I've been trying to figure out various optimization mods to get both DH and another mod called epic fight to get them working together and main issue I've been encountering is just a lack of support for forge DH(understandably). To circumvent this I've been messing around with optimization mods and have found out that the latest update for Oculus for MC ver 1.20.1 doesn't seem to work with all the other mods until I degraded its version. Now it works but the shaders are only working within my render distance. Here's a list of the current mods and their versions that I used to play and get this screenshot. Mod list for MC 1.20.1: (mod - version of mod) Clumps - 12.0.0.4...
