Doesn't load the video card
Hello, i'm writing here an issue related to iris shaders and gpu performance here too desperate to fix. Im going to try here since iris developers refuse to help me or just give me useless answers.
I play the pure version with sodium 0.6.0 beta 2 and iris 1.8.0 beta 4. When playing with shaders, the video card is not loaded above 20-30%, while it produces like 10 FPS and makes the game unplayable. Everything is fine on Optifine, the video card loads 80-100% and produces good FPS.
It is an iris or AMD broken thing, because i have my drivers updated and minecraft is using my graphic card. Maybe one of you knows a lot about iris, so any solutions please? 8)

does task manager also say your gpu is at a low usage?
are you also using DH?
What is your GPU and CPU and what is the CPU usage?
yes, task manager says gpu is at like 35%
i am using them and it works well, problem is the shaders
shaders are like 5fps better with DH turned off ahahah
With turned off, do you mean in Dh's settings or disabling the mod?
disabling the mod
removing it from the folder
u mean u want my cpu/gpu info? (sorry but i am a spanish iberic ham so my english is 💩)
cpu usage is 40% with Dh+shaders
Are you just using iris and sodium?
yes I am
Does the same happen with a different shader?
with every shader
photon, bliss, kappa, etc...
Can you show the whole F3 screenshot of when you try?
Yes, the model number
E.G. Intel i7 11700 and NVIDIA RTX 1650
is on this screenshot i just uploaded
9 fps with 12% gpu...
What is the highest used core usage?
No, when you click on the cpu usage graph in task manager
cpu is used at 15-20%
cpu is okay, gpu is okay as well, it's when i turn on shaders that gpu is not being "used"
DH runs well even with high graphics
Your cpu has multiple cores, each with their own cpu usage. When you click on the cpu load graph in task manager, you see those individual usages. Is there a core that is getting completely hammered?
nope, every cpu is having low usage
but cpu is not the problem, its gpu
:maybike:
i also did the thing to make minecraft use gpu, its already using it so >:)
Whatever the problem is, it's probably not gpu related. Something is bottlenecking you so the gpu has less work to do.
I don't know what you mean
i mean i have already made minecraft to use dedicated gpu with windows settings
You don't do that in the windows settings
yes but what is that "something", i will wait for a new iris release and pray god so the iris developers answer me
You connect your display cable (HDMI or displayport) to the graphics card and it will use the gpu
Yeah, I doubt it will get fixed if you're the only one with the problem, but maybe
another guy is having the same problem but with AMD
we are two now 8)
I will try to delete iris config file and reinstall the mod and see if its gonna work
