Overworld LODs rendering in the End dimension
I didn't take a screenshot yet but i'm seeing the LODs from the overworld rendering around me in the end for some reason. I'm on the latest nightly build as of yesterday. Also, fwiw there's no folder for the end in my .minecraft folder, but there are folders for the overworld and the nether. IDK if it matters but I was playing on a multiplayer server.

Can I turn off the beacons rendering in DH?
They become a bit much when you can see them all haha

config -> advanced options -> graphics -> generic rendering -> enable beacon rendering
settings suggestions
i have a 4090 with a 7950x3d what settings would give me the best performance and quality ratio. rn im struggling with the game hitching every 30 secs. turning off distant generation helps but at that point the mod seems useless.
cpu load
Im looking forward to building myself a new pc specifically for dh, if I remember correctly dh is mostly cpu bound, so what characteristics cpu should have so it performs better with dh? Should I prioritise more cores in the cpu or the individual core power?
Wrongly render ice
If I stay away, the ice will be rendered as water. It seems really strange. Is there any way to fix it?
Is this normal / can this be avoided?

Solution:
For the band at the edge of vanilla chunks you can do 3 thing:
- tune vanilla and DH fog:
It will hide the problem especially on higher vanilla RD, you need a separate mod to tune the vanilla fog
- tune noise texture:
Helps only on solid terrain, so grass, leaves, etc. It will make the transmition less noticable....
Serverside Fork?
I know there's a serverside fork, so I'm considering using that for a server I'll be starting soon. We're planning to pregenerate 30k blocks, which is why the serverside fork is so intriguing to me.
Has anyone used the serverside fork before and if so can they shed some light on how it functions? Performance impact, difficulty to set up, etc.
I was also thinking: could it be possible that I install DH on the server, pregenerate the 30k blocks, then grab the lod data from the server's files and just share them with each player who wants them? Would that work?...
Sharing LOD's for server
Sorry ahead of time if this is a dumb question.
I'm making a server with my friends and have pre-generated chunks using chunky on singleplayer.
Transferring the world is straightfoward but I want my friends to be able to use the LOD's I have already cached. I'm guessing it would be under .minecraft/saves and then I see DH in DIM1 and DIM-1.
Let me know if this approach can work and what files to send to friends.

DH is bugging so much since I entered the better end dimension
As you can see on the Screenshots, the nether roof lod suddenly is broken and the better end dimension is loading also random lods.
I'm on the last auto update of DH3...
What version of Distant Horizons do I use?
Im making a modpack with some mods (about 120 including performance mods), and I will open a server to play it with my frieds, and Idk what version of DH to use. The server will be dedicated, and the map is made with World Painter and Axion, so its not fully generated procedually, may you guys help me with that?
Just to sumarize, I need a DH version that works well playing multiplayer on a dedicated server, and the world is not generated procedually (world painter).
If you guys dont mind, please tell me the compatibilities of the version :)...
Leaves with snow appear fully white instead of green. Any way to change this?
I'm having an issue where as I enter a snowy biome there is a very distinct switch from completely white leaves to regular green mc ones. It is super jarring. Is there any way of fixing this even if it were just getting a texture pack for snowy leaves?

To fix this issue. Unless it is caused by supplementaries mod.. It seems as if the chunks above are casting some kind of "shadow-like" artifact that disapears when i fly close. I've tried multiple different settings and am unsure which if there is a setting that can fix this. Any help is appreciated!
need help with setting multiverse
ive been using DH on an SMP, and recently had blood magic added, and when i go into the dimension created by it, it overwrites the buildings in that dimension into my overworld. im not sure what setting i should put Multiverse to so that it doesnt affect my end/nether/overworld, and the custom dimensions will be written to their own thing.
