What version of Distant Horizons do I use?
Im making a modpack with some mods (about 120 including performance mods), and I will open a server to play it with my frieds, and Idk what version of DH to use. The server will be dedicated, and the map is made with World Painter and Axion, so its not fully generated procedually, may you guys help me with that?
Just to sumarize, I need a DH version that works well playing multiplayer on a dedicated server, and the world is not generated procedually (world painter).
If you guys dont mind, please tell me the compatibilities of the version :)

DH is client side only, so when you join a server, distant generation won't work

Distant Generation doesn't work in multiplayer, meaning DH won't be able to generate LODs for chunks outside the vanilla render distance.
Instead, as you travel around the world, LODs will be generated for areas you've visited.
In the next update, DH 2.3, you will be able to add DH to your server granted it's running a compatible mod/plugin loader (Fabric, (Neo)Forge, Bukkit and their derivatives). This will allow the server to generate LODs and send them to the client, making distant generation possible on multiplayer.

Keep in mind that this build is still experimental, we do not encourage using it on large servers until further testing.
Latest DH should work the best, but can be tricky if you also plan on adding shaders

If I pre-gen the distant horizon in the map, and put it on .minecraft/Distant_Horizons_server_data/SERVER_NAME/ it works?

Oculus will probably not receive anymore updates because iris is going multi loader

If I pre-render everything on the map and export it to the players data
and something gets destroyed or burns down, if the player passes near it and it renders on the default minecraft rendering, it will update the DH data?

Oh, do you know some mod that makes explosions danify blocks instead of breaking them? Maybe combined with multi mine to make a lot of explosions to break a wall
