Carhartt Detroit Jacket (new or vintage?)
A Carhartt Detroit Jacket is one of the common items in my fashion inspiration Pinterest, so I'm interested in getting one. For this particular jacket, would it be better to get a vintage one? :linkThink: 🇬🇧
- Budget: ÂŁ200ish.
- I don't mind used.

How do we feel about the sleeve interaction here?
Interested to hear if it reads as sloppy or intentional to your eyes.
Both pieces fit "correctly" as in the shirt sleeves are the traditional length (covers wrist bone yada yada) and the sweater has intentionally elongated sleeves, but of course that doesn't mean it works.
On the other hand, I'm so fuckin cozy and think it's interesting at least....
dress shirts - tall and skinny
Hello, looking for recommendations on where I can go to get fitted for a dress shirt. It doesn’t have to be MTM or anything but I’ve had trouble finding something that fits. I’m 6’4” 165 lb, 30” waist in Levi’s, probably a 37~ sleeve length. Very long torso and wide ish shoulders. Closest I’ve had is Charles Tyrwhitt extra slim, but it is too short in the rear so it doesn’t stay tucked and the sleeves are a bit short. If I try to stretch even a little bit, I feel like the seams will pop in the armpits and the shirt will come untucked. I got fitted in store for a 15.5/36 extra slim. Thought it would work but doesn’t. Size up and slim fit felt baggy and also short.
I am just getting these for work so it’s just business casual, functional. I am dreaming of a shirt that doesn’t come untucked and sleeves that actually sit where they should. Let me know if I can add measurements or anything else that might help. I can’t afford a tailored MTM shirt and don’t even live near a tailor that would do that. I live in the northeast US. I’d pay up to $100 per shirt if they’re going to fit...
Women's Brands
Hey!
I'm very into the whole cropped jacket wave that's going on, however I'm only 5'7 which means that most cropped things don't look cropped on me, affecting the proportions of the look.
I've recently started looking into womens clothing but a lot of what I see is either super cropped or very feminine looking (colors and very cinched at the waist)....
Need something similar
I found these pacsun jeans a couple weeks ago but they're all sold out now is there anything similar anywhere else?
ID these glasses
Can someone help me ID these glasses? At first I thought they were Oliver Peoples but they aren’t exactly. From a TV show, can’t remember which.
I love the fully rounded and teardrop shape of the eye....
New or Upcoming Brands that are nice?
Trying to find new or upcoming brands that are on Instagram or just launched a store drop info below.
Tees
I have recently bought some tees from a vintage store. Now I am trying to get Tees that look nice as hell that I could wear going out look but more on the nicer side. Compared to like Harley Davidson tees.
Looking at like tees that are under 60$ I know like stussy isn’t a bad tee...
Does anybody know what style this type of clothing is called, and where I could find this jacket?
Not sure what style this is called, would appreciate any help on this!
Should/could I wear loafers with this?
Should/could I wear loafers with that zipper polo? I was planning on wearing it with a trouser? What’s your opinion?
You guys have any boot recommendations?
I live in a wetter climate. I bought a few Steve Maddens because they looked nice, but heard they're trash. Want to see if there's anything better before fully committing to the Maddens
First year law student needs fashion help
I'm a first-year law student with distinctive blue eyes (my one notable physical trait) whose headshots are coming up this Saturday. I'm definitely a "winter" dresser. I'm hoping to go into big law, which although it doesn't always require a suit-and-tie these days, that is definitely something you want for a first impression.
In two weeks, I have the Malpractice bash, which is a "cocktail tire event." I have Big Law recruiting events after that.
I currently own one formal pure blue shirt (very nice and expensive) and some casual-ish business dress shoes....
ID Check
Can someone please ID these sunglasses? They're a pair of Ray-Bans; just can't see the logo too well in the top left hand corner. Thanks in advance (:
paraboot Michael? yay or nay?
I’m trying to up my shoe game a little. I don’t do dressy, the dressiest I’ll get is a pair of blundstones with the dry dirt wiped off. But I’ve had my eyes on some paraboot michaels. They’d be the most expensive pair of shoes I’ve ever bought (not that it would be a strain on the budget, it’s just I don’t spend that much on shoes) so I want to be wise about it.
I found a site called peggs & son through reddit and they seem legit and would “only” cost about $480 for a pair.
Are the worth it in 2024 or is there a shoe that fits its niche? Thanks!...
building up basics.
basic fit and style recommendations needed. looking to have solid basics to build from.
How to deal with being dummy thicc?
Hello. I put some weight on the past years and it went mostly butt and hips. They make me self-conscious because I think my silouette goes disproportionate as below the knees my legs are thin and my arms are too. The hips look fine on front if I wear a loose top and not-skinny bottoms, but when I'm on my sides the butt sticks out like a sore thumb.
Asides from working out, how can I avoid drawing attention to those areas in clothing?...
can anyone help me accurately price this piece?
i have this (i’m assuming) rare cav empt sweater that i just don’t wear enough so i’m trying to sell it - except i literally cannot find it anywhere online so i have no benchmark.
tried asking in the cav empt subreddit already to no avail, so any help is appreciated!...
