braided belt too thick?

I recently got a braided belt after a lifetime of smooth belts. I found it's a little annoying to get the belt through the belt loops on a pair of pants because of the friction caused by the braided shape. Is this normal or do I just have a really thick belt?...

Finding the right belt for myself?

I've been trying to find casual belts that would better compliments what I wear, but I'm pretty out of my depth in belt styling. If you have any good discussions or inspo saved I'd love to see it! I added some fits I like, hope it helps. (I know the pics are bad, sorry lol)...

Stylish ways to bring lunch to work?

I want to start bringing my own lunch to work to save money, but my messenger bag isn't big enough to fit bulky tupperware. I'd rather not wear a backpack to work if I can help it. I commute via bus/train. Any ideas how I can bring my lunch without killing my fashion vibe? I suppose budget would be $100-400 but ideally on the low end if it's really just a lunchbox or something. Thanks!

Can I wear those big roomy wool overcoats as a short guy?

I'm 178 cm, the models are always 188 cm... I have relatively broad shoulders too, so can't size down too much. How long below the knees is too long for an overcoat?...

outfit feedback? specifically JPI (jacket pants interaction)

The jacket is cashmere with a bit of texture but has a pretty high stance and imo reads as a bit sleek, while the cords are wide wale, fit, and brown which leans more rustic to me. That being said I wore em because I think the texture of the cashmere complements the cords, and when worn open the jacket's sleekness is mitigated. So the question is: what're the Collective 's Thoughts on the combo...

Eddie Bauer or J.Crew Henley

Looking for a Henley under $50 and both EB and J.Crew have sales. So I can either get the Vintage Wash Cotton Henley from J.Crew, the Ultrasoft, or Field thermal Henley from EB. Looking for something midweight or heavier and don’t know which is which. Also, other recommendations would be great too! Looked at Bronson which looks great for the price but sold out.

What haircut do I ask for to look kinda like this

Loro Piana jacket - is this an easy patch/repair?

Found this LP jacket on eBay and the only apparent issue is a small tear in the back. It looks like an easy patch/repair but I’m also not in the know on what’s involved in the repair process. Any thoughts? The jacket is 100% wool exterior....

Should I buy shirts at discount even if I don't currently need them?

Would it be reasonable to purchase some shirts even if I don't need them at my work currently? I'm in IT and we have a super casual dresscode (t-shirt, jeans). But I have an opportunity to purchase some really high quality shirts right now at a very low price. Not sure if, or how many I should buy tbh. Feels like it might be a smart move if I change job in 2-3 years that requires a more proper dresscode? Atleast considering getting 2 to wear at any upcoming events outside of work....

Carhartt Detroit Jacket (new or vintage?)

A Carhartt Detroit Jacket is one of the common items in my fashion inspiration Pinterest, so I'm interested in getting one. For this particular jacket, would it be better to get a vintage one? :linkThink: 🇬🇧 - Budget: £200ish. - I don't mind used. - Location: 🇬🇧...

How do we feel about the sleeve interaction here?

Interested to hear if it reads as sloppy or intentional to your eyes. Both pieces fit "correctly" as in the shirt sleeves are the traditional length (covers wrist bone yada yada) and the sweater has intentionally elongated sleeves, but of course that doesn't mean it works. On the other hand, I'm so fuckin cozy and think it's interesting at least....

dress shirts - tall and skinny

Hello, looking for recommendations on where I can go to get fitted for a dress shirt. It doesn’t have to be MTM or anything but I’ve had trouble finding something that fits. I’m 6’4” 165 lb, 30” waist in Levi’s, probably a 37~ sleeve length. Very long torso and wide ish shoulders. Closest I’ve had is Charles Tyrwhitt extra slim, but it is too short in the rear so it doesn’t stay tucked and the sleeves are a bit short. If I try to stretch even a little bit, I feel like the seams will pop in the armpits and the shirt will come untucked. I got fitted in store for a 15.5/36 extra slim. Thought it would work but doesn’t. Size up and slim fit felt baggy and also short. I am just getting these for work so it’s just business casual, functional. I am dreaming of a shirt that doesn’t come untucked and sleeves that actually sit where they should. Let me know if I can add measurements or anything else that might help. I can’t afford a tailored MTM shirt and don’t even live near a tailor that would do that. I live in the northeast US. I’d pay up to $100 per shirt if they’re going to fit...
