dress shirts - tall and skinny
Hello, looking for recommendations on where I can go to get fitted for a dress shirt. It doesn’t have to be MTM or anything but I’ve had trouble finding something that fits. I’m 6’4” 165 lb, 30” waist in Levi’s, probably a 37~ sleeve length. Very long torso and wide ish shoulders. Closest I’ve had is Charles Tyrwhitt extra slim, but it is too short in the rear so it doesn’t stay tucked and the sleeves are a bit short. If I try to stretch even a little bit, I feel like the seams will pop in the armpits and the shirt will come untucked. I got fitted in store for a 15.5/36 extra slim. Thought it would work but doesn’t. Size up and slim fit felt baggy and also short.
I am just getting these for work so it’s just business casual, functional. I am dreaming of a shirt that doesn’t come untucked and sleeves that actually sit where they should. Let me know if I can add measurements or anything else that might help. I can’t afford a tailored MTM shirt and don’t even live near a tailor that would do that. I live in the northeast US. I’d pay up to $100 per shirt if they’re going to fit

how do you find a good tailor?
Hello, I live in northern NJ in the US and I’ve struggled to find a decent tailor. I’m tall and somewhat slender, forward posture with a long torso and most things do not fit me. The few I’ve been to in my area did not really understand what I was looking for, or made alterations that made everything just fit super tight, or only tailor suits (and make them very modern slim fit). Idk if anyone has specific tailor recommendations so I’m wondering how this group vets a tailor? I figure there may be NYC people here but I’d only go to NYC for tailoring if they’re willing to take a lot of garments at once. It’s a hike from where I live. Maybe I need to adjust my expectations for what a tailor can do? Thanks

Saggy seat with most denim?
I have 32w 501s for example and the waist fits mostly fine (a bit big but 31w feels way too tight), the length is ok but there is a ton of extra material in the seat/crotch area. Also the jeans feel too wide. What are some measurements I should look out for to find jeans that fit? Could a tailor fix this? Any other denim brands/cuts suggestions? I’m 6’4” 180lb, slim ish build, bit of a belly and kinda wide hips

Menswear Tailor in NYC?
I live in Northern NJ and would like to get some dress pants and shirts altered. My body type is a bit hard to work with and haven’t found a good tailor here, most just keep things slim fit and biz cas style. Would appreciate any recommendations/vouches for a tailor in Manhattan, preferably near Midtown. Thanks

Crewnecks/hoodies for 6’4” guy?
I’ve tried a bunch of hoodies in L and XL, I’m about 200lb skinnyfat and they’re usually too short and too wide, so a ton of fabric collects near my side and underarm while it’s not even reaching my waist. Would appreciate any recs under $150. Grey is my go-to color. Some Nike hoodies fit but then shrink after one wash. Only interested in pullovers, no zippers haha
