Best stores to shop for cloths for short guys?
I'm 5'5" and can't buy pants that fit at Walmart.

My not-super-expensive gotos are
* Uniqlo. It's a meme but the Uniqlo U stuff generally fits a lil wider and a little more cropped.
* Muji. Great bang for buck similar to uniqlo. Don't hesitate to size up, and grab some notebooks with your order
* Polo Ralph Lauren (Thrift this or get it on sale!). Wide cuts through the ages.
those are three everyman stores. To give more specific advice, a few pics of the styles you are interested in (can be from just images online!) will help, as will a budget
also you might wanna accept that some pants you'll have to hem or get hemmed. lotta great pants out there that otherwise fit great but are too long
Probably will teach myself to do that. Teach a man to fish vs give a man a fish and all that.
do not hem the fish rjs
With even a cheap machine and an iron, you can hem pants in no time. For what it's worth, it's also only like $12 to get pants hemmed most places, and at places like uniqlo you can order them to length
Pretty sure my mom or sister have a machine and iron sitting in a box in the basement somewhere.
hell yeah dude. honestly pretty easy. you'll fuck up the first time you try it, so grab some cheap pairs from the thrift store to fuck around with (even if they don't fit you, better if they do!)
Where would you go if you need clothes immediately and don't have time to wait on shipping for whatever reason?
need? honestly the mall lol
Specialized retailers tend to have a larger variety in size options?
what is a specialized retailer in this instance
A retailer that specializes in selling clothes vs somewhere like Walmart that has a clothes section but also sells just about everything else. I wear size 6 mens shoes and I've found that if I go to Walmart or Target they don't have my size unless I want Velcro, Spiderman, and them to light up but if I go to Shoe Carnival or another shoe store they'll have at least a few adult pairs in my size.
size 6 damn yeah that's hard to shop for
and i mean yeah just go to the mall
hit up a gap or zara or sonethin
6.5 here and if you're looking at sneakers women's shoes are +1.5 (so you'd be a 7.5 in a lot of things). lots of unisex sneakers and that size is way more accessible on the women's side
for me, docs and vans are it
That's how I got my non-slip shoes for work. Some pair of size 7.5 women's all black Sketchers sneakers. Works well enough.
Yo i wear a men’s 6 too and most of my favorite shoe brands make a men’s 6, or a women’s 7.5 just like algoresky said. New Balance, Nike, Vans, Adidas, Birkenstock etc all make size men’s 6. For my shoes that don’t (Danner boots, PF Flyers, Hunter boots, Clarks Wallabees) i just get the women’s model and they’re the same thing
also like stevie said i’ve given up on making sure my pants “fit” lengthwise. if they fit great in the waist / thighs i’ll pay around $15 to get them hemmed. learning how to do it myself would be even better lol
i’ve found it’s much less limiting shopping for “men’s” clothes as a very short guy if i’m open to the women’s version or slight alterations
