where is everyone getting affordable/stylish/lasting clothes and shoes at?
All my stuff is on Vinted. Way way better than thrifting. Was astounded to see Levi's jeans selling for £60 pounds when I can cop €300+ chinos for just €15 and €200+ sweatshirts for €40+.

what would be the most yall would be comfortable taking in the waist and seat of your jeans
Try and get something with a relaxed tapered fit. Usually most jeans come in different fits and you want one with more room in the thighs. Any kinda slim fit Jean must be avoided.

Not-so-dad Dad Sneakers
Completely different direction, these kinda shoes are usually more expensive (Koio Capris are $240ish), less comfortable, require break in, are worse for outright running, and fit more slim, however they have much much nicer build quality/feel, good for walking, and can last way way longer. Plus they look super neat.

For a dressier sneaker, consider a plain white leather one, think common projects

Wool is by far my Favourite especially for socks. I'll never wear cotton socks again. Lyocell is also interesting especially for undies. Cotton doesn't handle sweat there well and polyester does not breath enough down there. For t shirts, Supima cotton is amazing. Also for pure cotton for sweatshirts and hoodies. Merino wool is great for knitwear, cotton can fuck off there. And cashmere for scarfs and gloves, beautiful.

Advice on shopping on RealReal
Heads up, there are plenty of other sites that sell second hand. Highly recommend Vinted for Europe, I've gotten so many clothes from their, but they don't have physical authentication if that's what you want. Also consider vestiaire and grailed.

Other brands I've heard good things about: Asket, 3Sixteen, Banana Republic, Outlier (for their ultrafine merino)

Honestly the difference between a Uniqlo supima and a Sunspel tee isn't that massive and unless you care a ton about basics, the latter is probably fine especially if you aren't rocking a giant budget

I own sunspel. They are slightly overrated. Obviously good shirts but I find the quality of Son Of A Tailor to be better and cheaper. The heavier weight sunspels are ok but I don't really like the lightweight ones, but that's personal preference.

If you like selvedge denim, Take5 is a must visit. A bit hard to find but they have a super wide range of Japanese brands definitely worth checking out. I'd also been to kapok which has a few locations near the southern part of the island. I've seen brands like lady white, Norse projects, common projects, amongst others there.

Private white V.C flight jacket. $350 used, already a brilliant deal but still by far the most expensive thing I own. No regrets though. Only other thing I'd spend that much money on is a pair of nice jeans.

Really? I thought most brands don't disclose fabric weight?

Tbh Im not a big expert on lower end denim/mainstream brands. Id just stick to something made of 100% cotton ideally, definitely ensure no polyester is in there. A bit of elestane is fine in a slim/skinny Jean. And heavier is usually good for durability, most high end jeans are 14.5oz so you'd want something closer to than if possible, but it doesn't necessarily have to be that. Most brands don't list fabric weight though. That's just some general guidelines, not something make or break. Fit is also super important. If you can try them on irl, obviously that's better. Don't get something that hugs your legs. Make sure it doesn't fall down without a belt. Form fitting VS baggy is ur preference. Oh and consider second hand. You can sometimes get great stuff if ur looking to save on cash. Apart from that I can't help much more unfortunately.
