what would be the most yall would be comfortable taking in the waist and seat of your jeans
see above. lost a lot of weight, and belting it is causing heavy bunching. never got stuff tailored, is there a point where it will just completely mess up the jean?

In general anything more than 2 sizes is a lot and above 1.5 is pushing it.
Jeans in particular are difficult to tailor since they use a different waist band construction and a flat-felled seam for the back rise. Trousers and chinos are easier to tailor because the waist band is often in multiple pieces and the seams aren't flat-felled

Anything over 4 inches would require some reconstruction of the seat and possibly moving pockets
… so 6 inches is out of the question
I wouldn't recommend it given how available jeans are unless the pair is hyper special and you're willing to search for a good tailor, pay good money, and wait a good while
i also got massive thighs and tiny waist, have never found jeans off the rack that fit :/
Try and get something with a relaxed tapered fit. Usually most jeans come in different fits and you want one with more room in the thighs. Any kinda slim fit Jean must be avoided.
