Chino color opinions?
I usually wear raw denim but I'd also like some chinos for slightly more formal events as well as for transitioning into and from summer. What kind of colors work best? I will be styling them primarily with navy/black tee shirts but sometimes cream/white/baby blue tees. Haven't gotten any OCBDs yet. Idk if navy would be too bland with also navy shirts. Does khaki or tan work well with darker tops too? How about white or light cream? Should chinos have any sheen on them? I've basically been wearing jeans all my life so I'd like a bit of advice on styling them.
Any other advice for rocking chinos? Opinions on going with linen? How to layer for interesting textures, especially in slightly warm temperatures?

Wool socks are a touch too big what to do?
I have a pair of wool socks that have been hanging out in my wardrobe for a bit. They are just barely too large. I can fit them comfortably if I pull them up, but after a bit they start to drift down and leave less than half a centimeter of room in the toebox. It is such a small difference yet still noticeable. Is there a way to just slightly shrink the socks without ruining them? It's a falke walkie light 44-45.

What color socks are best?
Hi, I'd like to get more socks in the future. What kinda color do you think is best for Shorts and Sneakers?
The guide says that you should always match your sock color to your pant color but that only applies for long pants. I still like to wear socks with shorts, usually ones that just cover the ankles, but idk what color I should spring for.

Arcteryx Beta LT vs Patagonia Torrentshell 3L. Worth the premium?
Hiya. Since it's raining all the time now and I don't really have any rain jackets, or light jackets in general. My main usecase would be for day to day life and staying dry when it is raining, but I would also like a jacket suitable for hiking since I also do that on occasion.
I shop exclusively second hand and can get an Arcteryx Beta LT for around $200 vs a Patagonia Torrentshell 3L for around $70. From what I can tell, Arcteryx is usually regarded as the pure best in terms of quality, but I don't really see how this difference manifests since Patagonia seems to have similar features and build. I've also heard that the quality of Arcteryx has been going downhill ever since they were bought but I don't know if this would affect me (the jacket from them that I am considering is pretty new but not the revised edition). Plus, as an average dude, do I even need the extra features if they are there? Willing to shell out if it makes a difference, after all I plan on keeping whatever I buy for as long as I can.
Any opinion are appreciated!
