What color socks are best?
Hi, I'd like to get more socks in the future. What kinda color do you think is best for Shorts and Sneakers?
The guide says that you should always match your sock color to your pant color but that only applies for long pants. I still like to wear socks with shorts, usually ones that just cover the ankles, but idk what color I should spring for.

I tried the match your socks to your pants thing when I first started and ended up with a drawer full of beige/gray/navy/black socks I don’t wear much. For casual outfits like you mentioned you have a lot of leeway to experiment as zeo mentioned
Colors and stripes are great for making a fit pop but you can get away with white crew socks in a ton of situations. I’d start there.
matching your sock color to pants is only a thing in traditional suiting. If you're not wearing a suit in a conservative setting you can ignore it
Go to Uniqlo, look at their sock wall, and buy the colors that fill you with joy when you look at them.
