Which brand jeans would last longer Between Replay, Armani Exchange and G-Star raw (same material)
I recently bought some new pairs of Levi's but cursed my legs, i should have waited at least a month before buying anything.... Now i need to buy them again. I was looking and found these 3 brands but they are a bit expensive and I don't have any idea about their quality ( basically durability and comfort)....
I was looking at the weight of Replay jeans and it's around 11oz which seems low, even my chinos weigh more than that maybe the denim weight is measured differently?
Regarding the Levi's, their premium line ain't available and their modern jeans have lots of synthetic fibres... Fit is also an issue, 511s are decent but the rise is low for my body and 501 is tight in the thigh area. Other options are Nautica,Mango, Uniqlo, Zara, Asos,Gap, Mavi and Muji but honestly apart from Uniqlo and Muji, I don't trust the rest of them, i might be wrong tho.

None of these brands is known for their jeans really (correct me if I am wrong please), especially for Armani exchange I suspect you’d be paying for the brand mostly
Abercrombie has surprisingly good options for jeans, great quality and lots of options in both fit and length
Do you have a budget in mind?
Well it's hard to say because I'm in India and i think Abercrombie will cost similar to Armani even after paying the custom duty....
But let's say $100-200 max
wdym last longer, are your jeans literally falling apart?
Well the thing is that i recently shopped clothes after a long time and back in the days quality was different but today it's a different story, quality is there but it costs a premium tag.... I was reading reviews of "Mavi jeans" and man there were too many negative reviews like ripping then ripped off, buttons came out etc... i want them to last me at least 5 years with moderate wear and that's it....
I cant speak to price because it's way easier to find those brands on deep discount or second-hand in the US, but it sounds like youd be paying a lot more than is worth it (A&F jeans for $200 is simply a bad purchase). Have you checked out India-based brands?
Last time i did but the material was rubberish ( dobby cotton?) I don't know the exact name. I think stock was low due to sale. On top of that people prefer strechy jeans.... Btw how does Asos compare to A&F?
Btw Ralph Lauren is also available, i just remember that and the price is around $130 (discounted)... On the other hand i can get Uspa for 1/3 of the price but again I don't know how big is the difference between Ralph and USPA...
ASOS has a couple different in-house lines, but they also carry other brands, so it depends, but I'd put them all around the same area of like not really worth it.
Weekday is a good option but again idk what you'd be paying so it might not be.
Do weekday run a discount? Even after paying the customs at full price, i can get them a little bit cheaper than Ralph Lauren.
Yeah they run sales and promos from time to time. I think there's a student discount rn.
Yeah, just found it... It is available in certain colours... £35 is a steal price! Thx!
Just wanted to add, if u just want good quality, consider The Unbranded Brand for jeans. $100 or so for a pair. This is raw denim BTW. They are raw and rigid but break in after a few weeks and become fairly soft (but not generic Jean soft) over time. Much prefer them over generic jeans, better quality fabric and hardware and they are selvedge too. Plus they create sick fades. And it feels like wearing armor.
I have a question... What brand would you pick between Gap,Mavi,Asos, Uspa,Mango, Zara Maybe Weekday? Because even after the tax Weekday will cost me around £50.... I want 2 pairs but right now i can't buy 2 unbranded jeans because of the custom duty and other reasons....
I think all of them fall into a similar category? Like average to good quality and then we have high quality like Unbranded then the highest quality Japanese brands.
Tbh Im not a big expert on lower end denim/mainstream brands. Id just stick to something made of 100% cotton ideally, definitely ensure no polyester is in there. A bit of elestane is fine in a slim/skinny Jean. And heavier is usually good for durability, most high end jeans are 14.5oz so you'd want something closer to than if possible, but it doesn't necessarily have to be that. Most brands don't list fabric weight though. That's just some general guidelines, not something make or break.
Fit is also super important. If you can try them on irl, obviously that's better. Don't get something that hugs your legs. Make sure it doesn't fall down without a belt. Form fitting VS baggy is ur preference.
Oh and consider second hand. You can sometimes get great stuff if ur looking to save on cash.
Apart from that I can't help much more unfortunately.
Thx man! I really appreciate it! Regarding the weight I think it's easy to find 14.5oz+ denim unless I'm measuring the weight wrong....
Really? I thought most brands don't disclose fabric weight?
I can tell the weight just by holding them... It won't be 100% accurate but the difference won't be that big
