How to test the VOAC LED ring?
How do we test the IDEX LED board? Just 5V to the board or do we need a signal to turn them on?
The camera and endstop are working, but I can't get the LEDs to come on. 😕

printer.cfg changes lost on power cycle
When I turn the machine off and back on again the printer.cfg and RatOS.cfg revert back to original files without the updates. I can save/restart and the changes are there. (Mostly has to do with the fans (remove the "!") and my IS settings.
How do I force the saves to be permanent?

Hotend thermistor reading 129c at room temp
I'm using the 42 v1.2 toolboard and the Rapido that comes with the V4 kit. As near as I can tell I have everything selected correctly but the I still get an incorrect reading. I have the jumper in place for the enhanced temp reading as instructed in the build guide. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong...

I'm stuck at MCU Protocol error
I'm stuck at "MCU Protocol error"
When the Pi comes up it goes to Klipper. I can't find how to get to just the Pi to run the commands there. Sorry, not a Pi person and this is driving me crazy.

How do I get a mouse pointer for RatOS?
I got the Raspberry Pi set up with RatOS. It is now recognizing the monitor, It seems to recognize the keyboard and mouse as if I click the mouse sometimes it brings up other menus (though since I don't see a pointer I don't know where it actually is). I can hit ESC on the keyboard and it reverts back to the previous menu. But I can't seem to get into any menu that would allow me to toggle pointers on or off or change video resolution.
How do I turn on the mouse pointer?

gantry X-axis
I just replaced the bearings on my 500 3.0 with the 3.1 upgrade kit parts. When I am moving the gantry to the front, the right side hits the front frame. But the left side still has about 2mm of travel before it reaches the front.
Adjusting belt tension doesn't seem to be enough to make a difference.
What do I need to do to correct this?
Might have found it. Re-fastened the belts on the front and pulled the upper belt taught enough to straighten it out. Now I need to do the regular belt tension and see if this solved it.
Almost. I think the main culprit was the gantry linear bearings. They had crud built up in the bearings. Cleaned those out and re-lubed all the bearings in the machine. I'm now back to smooth motion. Just need to start getting a drop of oil in the bearings probably once a month.

Bondtech LGX extruder binding
I have two LGX extruders. One is on my VCore 3.0 500 that has worked great with no issues even when the enclosure gets a little toasty (~70c).
However, I have another extruder that is brand new that I was upgrading my Pruda Bear with. Just finished FINALLY getting around to the Prusa 2.5'ish to Prusa Bear upgrade and moved to a HeroMe Gen 7 carriage and Revo hotend. Got everything going and was pushing plastic getting ready for test prints.
I noticed that the printer would stop extruding after a short amount of time. Chased several normal problem solutions (bump up temp, bump up current, slow things down) and nothing seemed to work. Took the extruder apart and lubricated everything. By hand it seemed to function just fine. Put it back in the system and back to not extruding again. Took it apart again and put it back together. Started testing movement by hand again and I noticed that there is a point where the gears seem to bind. Fairly repeatable at the same spot. Seems more related to the large gear rather than the stepper spur gear.
Has anyone run across this and found a solution?
I have a new LGX on the way to in theory get the Bear up and running. Just wondering if the misbehaving unit is salvageable.

How to address Z binding?
I find lots of posts mentioning z binding. But I'm not finding much on how to address the binding.
RIght now the z movement is louder than when I first got the machine up and running. I want to see if I can get the problem fixed.
My machine is a VCore 500 3.0. I'll be doing the 3.1 upgrade as soon as my PrusaBear is finished. Rule number one: Always keep at least one printer functional. 😛 Is there any guide for chasing z binding? Thanks
