Y-Stepper engages for X-Movement
Hello,
I have a strange problem. I have four motors for X/Y (2xX, 2xY).
When I do an X-move (left/right), three motors engage. But when I do a Y-Move (back/forth)only one motor engages.
So my conclusion: The Y1 stepper (which is one of the three moving) is wrongly configured. But I have checked the pin assignment multiple times now and can't find the error.
I have attached the printer.cfg, could someone be so kind and take a look at it? 🙂

pin PC4 used multiple times in config
Hello,
I have switched from 2209 drivers (selected in the inital RatOS configuration) to 5160 drivers.
So I have added
[tmc5160 stepper_x]
stealthchop_threshold: 1
interpolate: False
cs_pin: PC4
spi_software_mosi_pin: PA7
spi_software_miso_pin: PA6
spi_software_sclk_pin: PA5
run_current: 1.6
sense_resistor: 0.033
To the printer.cfg.
Klipper now complains, that "pin PC4 used multiple times in config".
And it is indeed used in the RatOS.cfg:
[tmc2209 stepper_x]
stealthchop_threshold: 0
interpolate: False
uart_pin: PC4
run_current: 0.8
driver_TBL: 1
driver_TOFF: 3
driver_HEND: 3
driver_HSTRT: 0
sense_resistor: 0.11
Can someone tell me how to avoid this problem (as the RatOS.cfg file is not to be modified)?

Pin 'heater_bed_sensor_pin' is not a valid pin name on mcu 'mcu'
Hello,
I have set up the RatOS for a Minion in the configurator and now I am changing the printer.cfg.
RatOS.cfg is unchanged. I am not sure what causes the above error.

Sonar in newest RATOS
Hello,
is Sonar or something similar included in the newest RatOS or do I have manually install it?
I keep losing the Wifi Connection and a cable is currently not an option.

Adaptive Mesh and Orca Slicer
Hello,
I've activated adaptive_mesh in the printer.cfg ([gcode_macro RatOS]
variable_adaptive_mesh: True) and added the start Gcode to Orca Slicer. However, it still probed the whole bed.
Now I've seen, that the gcode does not contain X/Y coordinates but rather the variables:
"; machine_start_gcode = START_PRINT EXTRUDER_TEMP=[nozzle_temperature_initial_layer] BED_TEMP=[bed_temperature_initial_layer_single] X0={first_layer_print_min[0]} Y0={first_layer_print_min[1]} X1={first_layer_print_max[0]} Y1={first_layer_print_max[1]}
"
The variable "first_layer_print_min" is not defined anywhere else in the Gcode, so I assume that's the reason it is not working.
Can anyone tell me, how I can fix this?

Buzzing when idle and "high" power consumption
Hello everyone,
in terms of the movement my printer seems to be fine so far. After starting it up it draws about 7W and it is totally quiet (homing etc all works fine). However, once I move the printhead, the idle power goes up to 25W and I notice a buzzing sound (but I can't tell where it exactly comes from) - I assume it is one of the steppers.
Is this a common issue? What can I do about it?

Z-squish depending on part size
Hello everyone,
I am having a very strange problem: I tried to calibrate my Z-Offset using a large square (150x100mm), which worked very well. However, I got too much squish on small parts.
So I printed three squares: 50x50mm, 30x30mm and 10x10mm
The 30x30 turned out great (no gaps, not too much squish), the 50x50mm had significant gaps and the 10x10 had too much squish.
What can I do about that?
