how are multiplayer folders named (fancymenu conncet to server button)
hello, the faq says that for multiplayer lod data is stored in
.minecraft/Distant_Horizons_server_data/SERVER_NAME/
i was wondering about that SERVER_NAME, is it the actual ip adress of the server, or the name that the player chooses when adding a server, (the one where the default is Minecraft server
Im asking this because in my modpack im using fancymenu which allows me to create a quickjoin button, that when setup connects directly to the server ip and there is no way of giving it a name like a player would add a server in their list
so the folder created is just a + ...Solution:
so ig yeah it defaults to + if no name is found
Works perfectly for single player but not on my server?
My chunks aren't loading in correctly, they look almost blurry and unrendered (rendering is enabled). I do not have chunky installed either. Mods are exactly the same for my server (I'm using Bisect Hosting) and the mod files are the same on my pc. I'm not sure exactly what the issue is, but the fact that DH is not working on my server but does in single player leads me to believe that the server is the issue somehow. I'm not really sure what to do. I've attached several images of the issue. I...

is the LOD render distance radius setting measured in blocks?
i have it set to 1600 but i can see way farther than that
DH not loading anything on personal server
I made a new world on my personal server, and I have deleted the DH world files in my MC directory, however when I joined the new world DH wasn't generating or loading new chunks at all even with very high settings. I suspect I have not deleted something in the server files due to my last world being pre-genned with chunky. This time I didn't use chunky and I am getting the same problem.
LODs don't render
Hey y'all! I'm trying to make a very simple modpack for my own enjoyment, using Ars Nouveau, Create, and some other mods. One thing I noticed is that, even though DH loads, it simply does not render any LODs. I have a feeling it is doing its work under the hood, just not rendering anything. It persistently has 4 to 5 tasks always running, as per the screenshot, and the number of completed tasks does go up.
I did test DH with only the performance mods and it did work, if that helps on the debugging.
The modlist and the latest log are included below. There were no specific error messages ingame, and I'm running singleplayer....
Nether Not loading
LoD chunks are not loading in nether, but ontop nether you can se LoD bedrock loaded
Mods
Do most mods work with this? and also can i use it with shaders on forge.
Solution:
Yes to both but read #faq-mod-support if you are unsure
is there a way to make beacons visible at long distances?
One of the reasons i was excited to try distant horizons was to see beacon beams from far away, but it seems this doesnt change the distance. Is there something in settings (ive looked, but lots of settings) i also cant find much online abt this. Thank you!
Spawn Chunks Issue?
Idk why this is happening but the area in the middle is the spawn and its given chunks. could be a shaders thing. hand full of mods and resource packs so that could have an impact.
Could also be my settings which are kinda wack. Idrk what i was doing when i was setting it up but i got it to mostly work except for this....
Solution:
Starlight causes LODs to be black in some cases. You need to disable Starlight and regenerate the LOD.
Boxes over blocks
When Distant Horizon is on, I can see these boxes over the minecraft blocks! How do I solve it? Looks like something related to the option "Max Horizontal Resolution" but I can't solve it! Anyone knows how to remove these boxes?

Random Missing LOD Chunks
Is there a way to fill in these couple of chunks that the LOD doesn't have saved? There's this spot and a big ring around spawn and I was wondering if I could make it regenerate just those areas
DH makes my fps very unstable
I know I'm in a jungle but trust me it does the same in every biome, I tried removing only DH and I get a solid 70fps (cap) the conditions between tests were the exact same
Ring of unloading
I lowered Overdraw Prevention, does nothing. The ring is relational to my RD. At 1 RD it is just a ring around my feet.
As I move through the world this ring always exists. Any ideas?
