Troubles Importing Server LODs
Good Afternoon,
I'm moving my LOD's over to a friend to join my server with.
Overworld:
We place the .sqlite into
.minecraft/Distant_Horizons_server_data/SERVER_NAME/
, but DH doesn't display or load any LOD's when friend is in the server. I sat at his desktop, and ensured he's using my exact modpack, with all settings preserved.
Sometimes in either one of our folders, there is also a .sqlite-shm and a .sqlite-wal - are these relevant? They are deleted when I quit the world it seems.17 replies

Prevent Player Chunk Generation?
I have a world fully pregenerated through Chunky. I need to pregenerate LODs next, so if I change
distantGenerationMode
= PRE_EXISTING_ONLY
, will player structure still be updated into LODs as we play?
Additionally, is there any way to prevent players from being able to generate chunks outside my worldborder using DE?
I see there is generationBoundsRadius
but which dimension does this apply to? I have borders at different distances in End, Nether, Overworld.6 replies

DH2.3B Server Hang on Shutdown

When using 2.3 Beta Stable or latest nightly, I cannot gracefully shutdown my server with it installed. Seems to close database connections before stalling.
I do have a heavily modded server, but it runs stable. I do have Chunky installed because I use ChunkyBorder (all 3 dims are pre-gen'ed already).

DH 2.3 RC2 Server Shutdown Hang + Water Shading Inconsistency

Also some chunks over lakes will not shade properly, currently using complimentary. When I approach within 4 or 5 blocks of the surface, all nearby water chunks shade improperly. Might be some reflection issue or something.
Both issues are not present for me in DH 2.3 RC1 - which is actually super stable for me! Well done overall, you guys are amazing. I'll post some screenshots of the water tomorrow if needed, I need to sleep for now, early morning tomorrow.

Test Client Suddenly Dropping Connection Upon Joining

Good Morning,
Seemingly ourt of nowhere my test server is getting booted out of my server under the guise of a "packet handling error". I find it hard to believe this is a networking issue, as nothing has changed. There must be some soft of config issue that's kicking the client.
Steps Taken:
- Walked back and undid all added mods since this issue arrived
- Ensure I don't have any funny networking business going on in the client (Sunshine Server, VPN, etc)
- Pterodactyl Panel and Node are healthy and online, my cloudflare domain is unchanged
Server, container, and client restarts
- Deleting client from cahched users and usernames on server
- double checking all mods are up to date and compatible
- Undid extra Ptero port allocation and firewall forwarding for Simple Voice Chat
- Removed DE
- Removed Simple Voice Chat

DH2.3 (World first Pregened w/o DH) Limited LoD Rendering
DH is rendering Lods wonderfully, but only to chunks that my client has visited / loaded (at the vanilla limit setting. Note, all of these chunks have been generated by the server ahead of time. Is there something obvious that sounds like it might be wrong? Perhaps something in the server-side DH config file? I feel like the answer to this is obvious, but it eludes me nevertheless.
I have restarted at both ends, turned off shaders. Honestly, it doesn't feel like a bug. I think I have something misconfigured. My experience this far with 2.3 has actually be very smooth otherwise.
