not really a minecraft server question more like a server general question

Hi Im currently running a personal minecraft server connected to playitgg with my old laptop LENOVO IDEAPAD S145. I just want to make sure my server stays up as long as possible and safe too 1. How can I make sure my laptop is accessible and online and won't disconnect remote connection at all times especially when I'm not home, currently using parsec for remote desktop, its lid is closed etc. 2. Should I remove the battery from the laptop and run it like a PC? If not, how much do I need to worry about battery degradation?; I already turned on the mode that only charges it to 60% and stays there. ...

TPS drop

I'm having an issue with TPS drops. I've reduced mob spawning, I'm using Clearlagg, I've decreased simulation distance and chunk rendering distance. With a server restart, it resolves for about 5-10 minutes but then it drops from 20 to about 5 or 6. I'm running several generation Datapacks and a few plugins -- none of which have been an issue that I know of. This started a couple days ago. I'm not too sure what my next steps should be or even how to begin troubleshooting this. Ideas?...

One player unable to connect to the server

I'm an admin on an SMP that my friend and I both play on. Within a single day, my friend went from being able to connect to the server to not being able to connect to it. Anytime he's tried to connect to the server, he get's "Unknown Host". In preparation for events, the server owner hosts a second server through pebblehosting and my friend is able to connect to that server just fine. We've tried having him connect to my own private servers that I host on a dedicated PC and he's able to connect to them just fine. He's only unable to connect to the main SMP server that we play on together. I don't even know where to begin to try troubleshooting what is going on; nothing seems to have changed within the last couple of hours. He's tried making a new copy of his modpack he uses, tried just the straight normal minecraft launcher, copied and pasted the server IP multiple times, a PC restart and nothing seems to be working. Any advice would be appreciated....

Memory leak source?

I believe I'm dealing with a memory leak on my server. Running 1.18.2-40.2.18 Forge (Java 21). Here's the modlist, some spark profiles, and a crash report as well from when it runs out of memory. Respawning bosses

Hey, I have a problem... How do you guys handle only one boss per structure? I mean we use cataclysm/Ice and fire and those are crucial for progression (Integrated Minecraft), but after some days dungeons are empty.... We were thinking about getting items from mob's drops but it would propably be easy abused....

Server Host

I am currently looking at switching from Contabo VPS to using a server host that has off site back-ups. Contabo storage isn't very good and one back-up takes almost my whole 200GB of storage and crashes the serverr/sets everyone back. We currently have 83 plugins and plan on adding a few more like ItemsAdder and models for tools, weapons, armor, dragons, and furniture at a minimum. Our world is currently -15000 -15000 by 15000 1500 with room to grow/terrform generator made. I am looking for recommendations and why. I refuse to use PebbleHost again for their shitty support and I am not looking to spend 50+ a month....

TAB by neznamy scoreboard issues

I'm running server software 1.17.1 with java 21. Placeholders don't work if they're above the character limit, but I thought the placeholder text wasn't included inside the limit, only the actual value is. In SimpleScore, a very long placeholder would still display properly, but on TAB it won't show at all. Is there any fix for this?...
