Large Scale Minecraft Servers
When launching a large scale Minecraft server, what are some good practices for ensuring stability? What are some tips that you wish that you had known when you launched your first large scale Minecraft server? I'm launching my first large scale survival server soon and I want to ensure that our Grand Release goes smoothly. I have optimized my server to the best of my ability and I have thoroughly tested every aspect of the server apart from a few features that will be thoroughly tested during our private beta.
I am using a dedicated server to host our website and pterodactyl panel. I am using the latest Paper 1.21.1 build and we allow java players to connect using 1.21.1 - 1.21.4. The server mainly consists of one paper instance, but we have a dual proxy setup for our event server and so that players can join the server through MineHut's external hosting feature. We have pre generated our world.
Is there anything that you had to learn the hard way after you launched a server?...
Server Capacity Scalability - Advice needed!

I wanted to tap into the community's knowledge regarding increasing the player capacity of modded forge server. The modpack on my server is rather large. At pebblehost, I currently host 9GBs of RAM with 3 threads for 22.5 [$/month] on a premium plan which manages to host around 10 players with noticeable but not game breaking lag while at our RAM limit.

every so often the server has a several second rubberband, i see ModernFix is high on thread usage but thats to be expected right? Neruina has caused SOME issues in the past but i didnt see them here so I could try removing that?...

Randomly the server will start to just explode and everyone cannot even eat / mine blocks etc. This capture is using the ZGC garbage collector that is what is currently using with 12 - 16gb of ram.

Prospect of a public modded server in 2025.
Question is simple, how viable is it making a modded PUBLIC server, yknow, ones with ranks, anticheat a hub/lobby, ability to support a decent playersize and so on, I dont mean fabric servers which have compatibility with vanilla clients. but i also dont mean a full blown modpack with huge machinery mods like create. Somewhere in the middle, with mods like KubeJS and a bunch of dimensons. Can it really be done
Unloading a World from Memory That Doesn't Exist?
When I type /memory in Essentials, it is listing my lobby world, which literally does not exist on my server any longer (the folder is gone). How do I unload that world from memory. When I try removing it from memory via Multicore, it simply says World does not exist!
My players are having an error when trying to connect my server 1.20.1
For several days now, two of my players have been trying to connect to the server. One simply won't let them connect, and the other tries but fails after 10 seconds without being able to load.

Why won't itemsadder work for my server, we installed the newest protocollib and it still doesn't work, we add it and it crashes the server, and we delete it and the server works. Help Please!!
extremely slow chunky pre-generation
i am using chunky to pregenerate a forge 1.20.1 server, and chunky is generating chunks at only 2 chunks per second. the server has 130-ish mods and it runs with 10GB ram allocated on an oracle cloud server

Does anyone one know of a mod or plugin that makes name tags and holograms invisible behind blocks. Not just client but server side for all players?
Hosting Multiple Servers off a single PC?
In short...
I already have my port-forwarding rules for my server(s) set-up however I have also noticed you can set for a pack to run off a set IP in the server.properties file?
Can this essentially allow for multiple servers to run off the same port-forwarding rule as long as they have different IPs set in their server.properties files?
Also not essential buuut... any recommended plugins ...
