second outfit for formal fraternity events
I go to too many date parties now and can’t wear the same outfit every time like I did last year. I can’t figure out what equivalent formalness to what I have would be though to get an alternative one. Here’s my current one (cowboy boots not pictured)
How to clean or deodorize a down vest
Just thrifted a Rocky Mountain Featherbed vest and it smells kinda musty. How do I clean or at least deodorize it if the label says not to wash or dry clean? Would using Febreze be an option? Or spraying it with a vinegar solution?
Suit is WAY too baggy around the waist... Can I fix this?
I have a 40/30 chest to waist ratio. I saw a 40 short suit on sale and got excited. The chest is a perfect fit but I am SWIMMING in the waist and trousers. How much can I fix this?
In the Market for Sneakers
Hey guys! I'm in the market for new sneakers. I find Stan Smith's uncomfortable and want to shake things up. I have chukkas that I wear to work but want something for the weekend, etc.
Would high-top, black Converse Chuck Taylor's go with dark wash 501s and brown, beige and olive chinos?
Can anyone ID the two pairs of adidas sneakers in these photos? I'm considering something like them too....
How versatile are bomber jackets?
I'm interested in a bomber and I normally like to buy clothes that are versatile and can be swapped with almost anything in my wardrobe but I'm skeptical with a bomber. Can I wear it over my casual collared shirts for work and mainly can I wear it underneath another jacket for layering (since my area regularly goes below freezing in winter)? I feel like I usually only see it over a tshirt and that's it but maybe I'm wrong. I'm looking at the costco BR and basic h&m bomber cus they cheap af if an...
Thoughts on pure Linen vs Linen blends?
Heyo I was looking into summer clothes (not craving anything in particular) and I can't find pure Linen anywhere but 50% Linen blends are very common, particularly with viscose and cotton (I assume its tropical cotton). Thoughts on them?
Troye Sivan Costume
Hey, it's not my choice, but I'm going to a Brat themed murder mystery party. I've been chosen as Troye Sivan, but looking at his Instagram, I have no idea what to wear. Imo, he somehow has super distinctive and super boring looks. Weird/recognizable ones, I can't really replicate, and the boring ones look unrecognizable. Also, I do not have the build, skin tone, hair, or eyes that match this man. I'm at a loss haha.
Allen Edmonds loafer sizing
I'm shopping for my first pair of loafers. I typically wear shoe size 11.5. The AE salesperson measured my foot via Brannock and it showed 12.
I tried on some Randolphs and my normal size felt very loose, so I landed on size 11D. They fit very snug (but not painful) and there's no heel slippage at all.
I took them home and am wearing them in the house to make sure they're right. I'm noticing my pinky toe feels a little cramped. It's making full contact with the side of the shoe. When I stand, the leather flexes out over the welt a bit. Is this expected or does it sound like they're too small?...
Building an outfit from the shoes
Picture was quite literally my first "I want to try to stop dressing like a slob" purchase and the first pair of shoes I've owned that has not been black/brown oxfords, cheap winter boots chosen based on their appearance of warmth or things I can play sports in. Impulse buy from Allen Edmonds on steep discount from someone who is rarely impulsive and - until recently - would do anything to avoid buying clothes.
I loved them immediately and still do. I also almost never wear them because I have literally no idea what to wear them with. Seems too casual for my current office wear, which is admittedly mostly comprised of whatever combination of dress shirts/pants was on sale at Macy's on the rare occasions I went (working to update!). Didnt seem to pair well with jeans (too much blue). Looked weird with shorts (I tried). Is this exclusively a "dress down some chinos" shoe? Would love any ideas. Particularly in the business casual/smart casual range, which I imagine is where these would fall anyways....

Body shavers that dont remove all the hair and are good for doing the back?
so I am quite hairy and want to trim my body does anyone have any recs for a good body trimmer I dont want to remove all my body hair maybe take it down to a 3-4.5mm length and I want something that makes shaving the back easy. The current one I have is crap for the back and isnt very good at trimming. My budget is £100 but would prefer to pay less if possible
Flaring Jeans
Finally found some denim that’s soft enough for me to be comfortable in. Does the flared leg look intentional, or should I take them to a tailor to get more of a straight leg?
A1923 quality
Does anyone know how A1923 construction/handwork stacks up vs. 'traditional' shoemakers? E.g. Gaziano & Girling or Saint Crispin's
button recs 4 chambray
Guys I got this chambray shirt at the bins and thought it was very sweet, good pocket shape, subtle fades etc.
I know it’s cheap though and the faux horn buttons aren’t really hitting for me.
Can anyone think of a button I could replace it with that would make sense?...
Do I need to be tall for pants like these?
They're 119 cm long, 10 cm longer than my baggy pants that almost touch the ground. Are they supposed to be wiping the ground like that?
Does John Wick's/ James Bond's fashionwear suit a "Royal Casino" genre?
here's a bullet version:
• Idk if this is a good range, but prolly maximum SGD 70 (lower is better, but not compromising too much on quality). Cost-effective for a decent college student.
• Currently in Singapore

Black Fluffy Hoodie or Black Fluffy sweatshirt
Id mainly be using it for being nice and cozy inside while still being able to go out casually and feel warm in the cold.
Hoodie - I do like the hoodie but sometimes it can feel like an overload with the hood itself.
Sweater - It is good but im not sure if i should pick it just for casual wear...
Simple, minimal, utilitarian black boots <$350 USD
Hey everyone,
I'm looking for a pair of black boots that are basically the fall/winter equivalent of the birkenstock Arizona.
Something simple and dynamic that is minimal by nature without being too sleek and overly designed. I like the idea of a slimmer or almond shaped toe and a boot I can drown with some wider or flared trousers....
