A1923 quality
Does anyone know how A1923 construction/handwork stacks up vs. 'traditional' shoemakers? E.g. Gaziano & Girling or Saint Crispin's

i havent handled G&G or st crispins, but artisanal footwear like A1932 is typically very high quality, but also "imperfect" in a handmade type of way if that makes sense. material quality is generally very high.
Yep, that makes sense. Even in traditional menswear marks of quality are typically imperfections, e.g. the irregularity of handstitching, etc, and I'm fine with the wabi-sabi don't handle with care gestalt. I'm asking mostly because I've more than once found a pretty big gap between standards of quality and construction in streetwear and formalwear. The skins used by Cecchetto seem top flight
I think you’ll find that the average artisanal consumer is very focused on quality, so if that’s your focus I wouldn’t worry
